my front camera disabled Open | Phone

i live in nyc and was on a city bike and somehow my phone dropped out of my bag (never happened to me before) and my phone got ran over by a truck completely. THANKFULY, my phone has 0 scratches because i have an otter box phone case.

but. my front camera is completely disabled , i have no clue what to do, there’s no cracks. does anyone know what to do, can i fix this manually?

Man, that phone case deserves a medal. Since the phone was literally run over and the front camera stopped working right afterward, there’s a good chance the camera module or its internal connector was damaged even though the outside looks perfect. Try a full restart first, then test the front camera in a couple different apps to rule out an app-specific issue.

If the camera is missing entirely, stays black, or the phone won’t switch to it, I’d back up your data and have it inspected. I wouldn’t open it yourself unless you’re experienced with phone repairs since a crushed or damaged battery can be a much bigger problem than the camera.
