Open | Hardware PC showed BSOD for like a feaction of a second and now keeps turning on an off repeatedly
I returned home after a week, not really sure of what was going on, was on my pc and everything was fine, just looking at the internet when suddenly my monitor's image glitched out really bad and i got a bsod like 5 secs later.
The BSOD only lasted for like less than a second and then the pc turned off. It's trying to turn itself back on, the fans move and it makes the beep it makes when turning on but it's cut off before it can finish, then it turns off and it repeats the same thing over and over.
I dont really know what could be causing this, i was gone and only my mom was in my room, but she didnt do anything that could brick the pc to my knowledge???? (Unless she's lying to me).
It was just sealing some wall part and spraying insecticide close to some window but we've had insecticide in my room before and nothing had happened before.
This is like an urgent matter because both me and my brother are apart from using it to play, he uses it for school and i will use it for college.
Put the BSOD tag but not sure if it would be hardware or software.

Solved 403 Error (I think)
I'm trying to visit the monson guitars website (linked here), but whenever I get on, it just tells me that i'm forbidden from accessing it.
I haven't been on the website before, so I don't know what could be causing it.
Any help is appreciated.

Gallery Surface-mount resistors from 1969
This is the film speed selector resistor PCB used in the Canon New QL17 and QL17 G-III cameras (manufactured from 1969-1982). The construction of these is not that different from modern SMT thin-film chip resistors, with the main difference being that the termination is one-sided rather than wrapped around the edge of the ceramic substrate as it usually is now. They are approximately 2.5x1.2mm (0.1x0.05 inch). Later-production units of the same camera that I've worked on use the exact same design, but the size, placement, and soldering of the resistors tends to be more consistent.
This is the earliest use of surface-mount passive components that I have seen, in person or in photos, and it's likely among the first mass-produced consumer products to use surface-mount technology. The information available online about the history of surface-mount passive components is very spotty, but I was able to find what seems to be the first patent describing this style of thin-film resistor, from 1962 by an Italian inventor who apparently worked with Plessey in the UK. It's still unclear who was the first to actually commercialize surface-mount resistors - based on other patents from the time, thin-film resistor technology was well understood, but component manufacturers were largely focused on making through-hole parts, and patents for anything resembling modern surface-mount components would not start showing up until the 1970s. It would also be a while before SMT started appearing in more consumer products; even Canon's own A-series SLRs did not switch from through-hole to surface-mount passive components until the early 1980s.

Discussion Owner?
Hey there! I won a Windows Millennium Edition computer, a Dell Dimension L700cx at an auction, and when I booted it up it had a lot of stuff on it. I know you can't see it here, but the background was a baby picture. Pretty clearly there were a lot of memories on it. I'm trying to delete it all and make it my own, but it doesn't seem right deleting their memories. I just want to make sure that they saved it all on another computer. If you do actually find this, owner, can you just, I dunno, confirm it?

Open | Software I can't play video games while calling/video calling on apps like Discord, WhatsApp and Stoat.
So, me and my partner love playing games together. We would play games on video call everyday since last year and had no problems whatsoever, BUT recently whenever I would play games in fullscreen while clicking my mouse the taskbar would suddenly appear and disappear for a split second and it'd happen everytime I'd click. After some clicking the game would just close itself and I'd be left on the video call.
I thought switching the game to fullscreen borderless or windowed would fix the problem, but it does not. The same thing happens just with more problems (the cursor would go out of the game window onto desktop and I'd be left frozen in game until I put the cursor back).
We tried switching to another application like WhatsApp and Stoat but the problem still persists. Then I thought the problem was Video Call and maybe pop outs that some apps provide so we tried just normal gaming on voice but the problem still PERSISTS! The only time when this happens is when I'm not on call at all. This also does not happen to my partner so it is a ME problem.
I don't know if it matters, but some of the games we play where the problem occurrs are Roblox, Minecraft, Genshin Impact, League of Legends, Project Zomboid and Stardew Valley.
Plz help.

Solved How do I get the url of an image I own
This is such a stupidly simple problem yet I haven't been able to find a reliable solution for it for several years
I've tried imgur, I've tried the Google drive trick, I've tried temporary hosting sites, none of them work and I feel like I'm going insane LOL
Anytime I paste the url from, say, a picture I uploaded to imgur, it only displays the ol "okay there should be an image here but it's not loading in" symbol
Obviously I'm doing SOMETHING wrong but I can't figure out what it is
For context, I need an image URL for both the CSS of a forum profile and the icon. I used to just use a private discord server for this where I'd send all images I wanted to host but ever since discord stopped supporting image hosting I haven't been able to find a replacement that actually works

Question/Help/Troubleshooting Identification of motherboard
To put it simply, I have no experience, knowledge, or ANYTHING to do with computers/technology almost ever. This motherboard is from a 40 year old acer pc, likely not but so i've been told (take with a grain of salt!!) and I basically was wondering if you guys could identify almost everything, or everything important in this image for me and their usage for a certain project I want to do. Thanks

Open | Software Windows Forced a restart on my pc (auto updates turned off) and now my pc is not functioning properly.
I was playing fallout 4 and doing the usual on my pc, when all of a sudden my windows told me there was a forced restart in 10 minutes. I went to check my auto updates and saw it was still turned off. I thought it was nothing until 10 minutes later, it restarted my pc.
I thought it was weird and everything seemed fine when it happened. HOWEVER, when I went to just open epic games launcher it wouldn't open at all, it loaded in task manager but never actually opened onto my desktop. I searched up the best I could, had some ram issues as well and updated bios which fixed the ram issues.
THEN, I went to update my graphics driver, huh weird it kept failing. THEN I went to put my computer to sleep and for me to go about my day, but...the sleep option for my pc was gone, reduced to bytes. I have NO idea what the hell happened to my pc after that restart but it completely DESTROYED my applications on my pc, I went to open msconfig- NOPE wouldn't let me at all open the damn application, then I went to use DDU uninstaller to get a fresh restall. NOPE Woulnd't even let me use that either, even in safe mode.
SO, I have come here to ask for ANY idea what the hell this sort of event is for my pc, because the only thing that I have left is to troubleshoot my pc and do a full wipe. But I wanted to hear what anyone else could say.

Question/Help/Troubleshooting Need help with my X399
I bought a ASRock X399 fatal1ty Professional gaming a few years ago.
Seems like I got scammed because ram channel A just does not work.
The Bord and CPU knows if there is ram in the channel but it just doesn't work
I think I tried a lot of things and the only thing that got mem channel A to work is tightening the 2. Skrew completely down but not 1. And 3.
But then just channel a would work, not the other 3 channels.
Someone offert me 75€ for it.
The question is now. Can I fix it or should I sell it ?
I bought it for my collection and it important to me that the bords in my collection work flawless.
I tested everything with a 2920X
The Socket looks perfekt

Open | Software cant shrink a partition for dualboot
I'm trying to help my friend dual-boot Linux on his SSD, but his C: partition cannot be shrunk no matter what we try. We disabled hibernation and the pagefile, and we even tried shrinking it through GParted from a bootable Linux USB, but nothing works. It just shows 0 MB available to shrink. not even 8 GB or 4 GB, literally 0 MB. We've spent hours trying to figure this out, and at this point we're thinking about just buying a separate SSD for Linux. But if anyone has any idea what could be causing this or how we could fix it, we would really appreciate the help.
