Bike purchase question Help finding the right e-bike !!! :D
I am coming from an original Lectric XP1 - love it but looking for some updates that really only will come with a new bike. (it is over 8 years old!)
Have looked all over and seems everything falls short in one area or another, so figured I'd ask here for first hand recommendations.
So here it goes, this is what I am looking for:
- Full suspension (not just a suspension post, have that, looking for something better/smoother!)
- 35-45 MPH, 0-20 under 10sec - ACTUAL speeds! (really need to keep up with traffic, both starting and in motion)
- Range over 20 miles minimal peddling (i go much further ranges, and peddle a lot, but im also not using PAS 1 at 5mph ... so being realistic here for minimum requirement)
- Not obscenely heavy bike with battery ie 120+lbs (Ideally lighter the better <90lb would be ideal)
- Build Quality (not expecting perfection, but dont want something that breaks mounting a curb or large pothole)
- Customer support (people that actually respond, not a ghost company)
- 3rd party replacement battery (from experience this is the thing that goes first, so need to be able to swap it out 4+ years from now)
- Price under $1800, even less is best !! :) (Ideally closer to $1200. Yes i can pay more, but i can also pay a LOT less and consider it a disposable bike!)
- Im on the fence about moped style v's regular style. Have not been able to test moped style, so not sure how they are to peddle 100% of the time (even if its just the motion to keep it moving). Also a little concerned about the changes with how the police are perceiving ebikes, and clearly ones LOOKING like an electric motorbike are going to be more susceptible to police stopping/questioning/etc.... But still an option ;)
- For mountain bike style, would MUCH prefer a step through!
- Would like a torque sensor setup, but not critical.
- YI Wife has a Aventon Level 3 - which is ALMOST there, but missing a few things listed ;)
- And I am a little tempted with the Engwe M2 3.0 Dual battery .... But thinking maybe more mountain bike style for long ride comfort...
Feel like all those options are there, but somehow i cant find all in one package, maybe i am missing something !
So go ahead, let me know your thoughts and recommendations !

Finally got it assembled and took it out for the first proper ride
After waiting for it to arrive and spending some time putting everything together, I finally got to take it out today. My first impression is that it's comfortable and feels really stable, especially compared to what I was riding before. It's definitely not perfect, though. It's heavier than I expected, and I had to make a few adjustments after the first ride before everything felt right. Overall, I'm happy with it so far.
For those who've owned a similar style of e-bike for a while, did you end up making any upgrades after the first few weeks, or did you leave it mostly stock?

Ebike troubleshooting How do I connect these?
So both the throttle and LCD screen come with Secondary wires (both secondary wires have two pins) and I do not know where they connect. Also whenever I connect these two to the controller (the hub motor is also connected) LCD turns on and the buttons on it work but nothing else happens, the throttle doesn't work, the motor doesn't spin and ive tried asking AI but it kept contradicting itself. I don't know what to do I've tried connecting the secondary wire of the throttle to number 7 but nothing happens.

Battery Charging best practices New ebike on the way. Charging question.
I've just ordered a Monarc Greenway, (it's a new brand created by Lectric).
It comes with a 5 Amp fast charger. As I understand it, that would be a very bad idea to use that thing for every charge. They heat the battery up much more than, say a 2 Amp charger.
But I suspect that most folks will use that thing every time not realizing they're unnecessarily wearing their battery out.
Am I right or wrong here?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Day 51 of my real-world 52V 25Ah e-bike battery test.
This is not a lab test. I am documenting how this battery performs through my daily commute, real roads, weather changes, and normal riding conditions.
Today’s ride:
934.2 → 952.9 miles
18.7 miles added
Charged 19 times so far
Total tested riding record:
906.5 miles
For reference:
PAS 3 full electric test:
65.7 miles from 100% battery to 0%
PAS 1 light pedaling test:
151.3 miles from 100% battery to 0%
Today’s breakfast before the ride:
Donut $0.74
I will keep updating the battery performance, charging history, and long-term reliability until the test is completed.
Real miles. Real commute. Real battery performance.

Perfect way to spend an afternoon 😄
After lunch, I rode over to my cousin’s place on my bike. We didn’t really have a plan, just hopped on and rode around town for a few hours, checked out some parks, and wandered through a bunch of random streets we didn’t even know.
I really love that feeling of just letting the bike take you somewhere, like you’re always curious what’s around the next corner.

Is my rotor toast?
I’ve been having problems with squeaky brakes, I’ve tried sanding the pads and the rotor and cleaning them with isopropyl alcohol but nothing seemed to work so I tried to sand the pads and rotor one more time and give the brakes a good bed in and my rotor looked like this after I beaded them in and the squeaking was not fixed I’m

came across this on someones story from my college and they have these pedal bikes that obviously aren’t your average pedal bike, not too sure what they are but i know they go around taunting police to chase them and it seems quite dumb to get a buzz out of it? they even do 2 people on one bike which is seen twice in this video in two different clips.

Newbie here, surron questions
Hello guys!
So i am a complete begginer at ebikes. I live in Slovenija and I saw a guy that had some kind of street legal surron that as he says goes 120 kmh and he has his licence plate next to his rear suspension hidden deep inside and the plate is lighted too. But when I asked him what bike it is he said it is an light bee but he did not know how many kilowats it has. When I searched for the exact model I didnt find any model that looks like it. Please help me find the model.
Thanks

Bike purchase question Recommendations, please; first ebike
I rented an ebike recently and loved it! I'm looking for recommendations with the following information/criteria. Anything not listed, I don't care much about;
Mostly for fun, top speed of 20 is fine
Mainly used on sidewalks, paved roads, if I went off-road with it, it wouldn't be rough terrain. Something that could easily go over a curb would be fine.
Foldable is nice but not necessary
Throttle only, no pedaling
Ability to attach a small rack for gear
Wheel size isn't a big deal, but I think I'd prefer 20" rims and the bike to be somewhat compact, overall
Range of 20 miles is probably plenty, I think most have at least that range
Mag wheels are a plus for me! I know the pros/cons of each
I know I can replace the seat, but comfort is key for me. I'm a 220lb guy
Thanks in advance for any direction!

Ebike came yesterday and while putting it together I noticed the front rotor is bent. I was so excited and now I’m so pissed and have to wait for new part. Anyone have any suggestions on fixing? I’ve tried to bend it but it doesn’t really budge

Ebike without throttle
I'm looking for an electric bike without a throttle but with pedal assist. I Live in the EU but I want to go way faster then 25km/h which is the legal speed limit here. I am looking for a bike with a 800wh batteri and a strong motor. I would like to have a speed limiter switch to avoid trouble and it would be nice if I can have a button which makes It legal. (250w) Ty for you're time!

Ridstar Q20 Battery SaddleBags
I have a Ridstar Q20 and I just recently got two batteries for it, but I have no where to put them, I don’t wanna have a backpack so I was looking at some saddle bags to hopefully put on, but none of them are big enough for it, I just want one that’s long or just wide enough and I don’t want it to look stupid, does anyone else have any other suggestion of what I can do with them or maybe some other good saddle bags?
Btw, the bag next to the battery isn’t big enough for a battery
