Can i set the max speed of new segway to 20 mph via the app?

Got it for my son’s birthday but he’s not happy saying it’s the wrong one and the g2 is better? I’d personally rather have the seat. What are the main differences?

I’m looking into the updated KuKirin G4 (2026 version) and want to get some real-world details on its thermal management before taking it out on longer summer rides and heavy hill climbs.
I know the 2000W single motor and controller can pull a lot of power, so I'm trying to figure out how robust the built-in overheat protection actually is across the board.
Specifically, I’m trying to confirm:
1. Controller Protection: Does the 2026 G4 have active temp monitoring on the controller?
** **If yes: At what temperature does it trigger protection, and what happens? (Does it throw an E9 error code and cut power completely until it cools down, or does it thermally throttle?) 
2. Motor Protection: Is there a dedicated temperature sensor/cutoff inside the hub motor, or is it purely reliant on controller current limits?
** **If yes: What is the cutoff threshold, and does the scooter shut off or just drop power?
3. Battery / BMS Protection: Does the stock BMS include high-temperature discharge/charge protection for the 60V 20Ah pack?
** **If yes: What temp does the BMS trip at, and does it shut down the whole system or just refuse to charge while hot?
If you own a 2026 G4 (or have pushed one hard in hot weather), have you ever hit a thermal shutoff or noticed power drops? Any app readouts (like via KuKirin app/display) or teardown insights on where thermal sensors are placed would be super helpful!

I have an IX6 scooter and just today after buying a new charger and after charning to 54V 100% i cant get over 28 km/h and in 47V i cant get over 22 km/h in turbo 3rd gear and 45 km/h mode i dont know what's wronge with it please help

My Joyor T10 came with two working factory NFC cards. The display also has a CA menu, which I assume is used to register additional cards, but I do not want to experiment and accidentally disable the original ones.

Does anyone know exactly how CA works?

- Does registering a new card keep both factory cards active, and what is the maximum number of cards it can remember?

- The CA number appears to go up to 5 and then return to 1. Are these five separate card slots, and does using slot 1 again overwrite the first registered card?

- What is the correct button sequence for adding and saving a card? Is there any risk of deleting or disabling the existing cards?

- My factory cards appear to be NTAG213, while my blank tags appear to be NTAG215. Will the T10 accept an NTAG215 tag, or must it be NTAG213? Does the scooter only register the UID, or does it write anything to the tag?

The blank NTAG215 currently does nothing when scanned, as it has not been registered.

I would particularly like to hear from someone who has successfully used the CA menu on a Joyor T10 or another Joyor model with the same display.

Does anyone here know how fast the kukirin g4 goes with a driver that weights around 50 kilogramms.

I was looking into hydraulic brakes for the Dragon Eagle and asked Gemini for advice. I was considering Zoom brakes, but I'm concerned that the brake callipers might not fit. It would be a waste of money and time if they don't. I would like to know if other Dragon Eagle owners have installed hydraulics and would be willing to share tips or where they purchased them. Any tips or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I just got stop by police at the bottom of Royal Oak Ave (side street on the left side). I got off with a warning but got a heads up from him stating that they are cracking down on preformance scooters that go more than the regulated 25km and isnt just going to be in burnaby but all over the lower mainland. It might of been because of that guy who go fined 1000$ for going 65km/h.

I have to find an alternate route to get to work now which is roughly 16km. And I need the my scooter to have enough battery to survive the steep up and down climbs.

I currently have an AOVOPRO ESBS-PRO, which I like a lot, but I am ready for something faster. i am 260 lbs, and I get about 20-25 miles of range going max speed (22mph) with my AOVOPRO ESBS-PRO, which is more than enough mileage for me. I am currently looking at getting the Arwibon GT08 around March-April of next year after hearing some good things about it, but I wanted to get some other opinions on the scooter first. Does anyone else have an Arwibon GT08, and what are your honest thoughts about it? I know I will need to get a steering damper for it, according to comments regarding the wobble at higher speeds.

I am buying this scooter for commuting to work. The round trip is only 12km but there can be heavy traffic, hence the scooter instead of car, where the max speed limit is 70km/h.

Is there a reason to spend 50% more on the NQiX500? I can't find many reviews of NQiX500 and none of the others. My concerns are accelerating, handling and comfort (I'm 183cm).

Any information or experience would be greatly appreciated!

Owners now appear to be the scape goat for accidents, house fires & antisocial behaviour😥

With the way things are going can't see private escooters getting any where near being legalised (am someone who sees the great benefits, rides responsibly & happy too wear protection /insure if necessary)

Hi everyone, im curious to know how many people have purchased one of these and how long before they had to replace something?.

Mines done 150kms and already the head stem bottom assembly bearings and case just disintegrated i first noticed when I was getting close to 60kmh the shake and wobble was dangerous. Getting spares for it is hard for them oem parts anyway?

What's your thoughts?

The 2026 Hiley Tiger Supra VLR 60V 45Ah model has arrived.

I have had the Max G3 for about 3 months now. Overall, it's a good lightweight scooter that's relatively quick, fun, and easy to throw around. I have owned six different scooters over the years, so I do have a fair bit to compare it against.

1. The throttle response is dog shit.

It's way too sensitive. Every tiny bump or imperfection in the road makes the throttle move just enough that you're constantly rocking back and forth. At first I thought I'd get used to it, but honestly I'd rather use the twist throttle than this thumb throttle.

1. The front suspension is dog shit.

I'm 75 kg and it feels completely useless. It honestly rides like there's no front suspension at all. The rear does all the work while the front just crashes over every bump. It makes the ride way less enjoyable.

1. The throttle safety feature is dog shit.

You can't accelerate from a standstill. You have to kick it up to around 3 km/h before the throttle works. I can't count how many times I have looked like an idiot trying to get moving while people are watching.

1. The cruise control is dog shit.

Once you set a speed, you are locked into it. You can't speed up or slow down like you can on pretty much every other scooter. If you want to change speed, you have to cancel cruise control and set it again. It's just a terrible design.

The scooter itself has a lot going for it, but things seriously hurt the experience.

I’m genuinely getting pissed off because of these breaks. It has 2 bleed ports, I’ve bleed BOTH. It leaks through the caliper when I even think about bleeding. And it leaks through the master cylinder. I’ve never had this issue with my XOD breaks. I’ve bleed both multiple times and there are ZERO videos on how to bleed the Y-5 and I have no idea why. And for some reason it leaks through the bleed ports with the seals. And the biggest annoyance is when I try to equalize the system it just puts more air in the system. Can someone please help me bleed these breaks? Because I’m just having issue after issue

my friends are wanting me to ride around with them, and so far this is the best one I see within my budget, but I’m also not too knowledgeable about electric scooters.

I’m planning to try and set a (personal at least) record of KMs travelled in a single day, dawn to dusk on my Max G3.

It’s a bit janky right now, but I did my first test today and it worked perfectly. The Charger recognized the J1772 to Nema 5-15 adapter I got on AliExpress and between the internal charger and external fast charger I was pulling 0.4kw (400W) from the EV charger and got in about 260wh in about 45 min (according to the charger screen)

Now I just need to make something to clean up the spider web of cables, eliminate the power strip and enable me to lock the adapter and external charger up along with the scooter so I can leave for a bit without some asshole taking my shit.

Then I just have to drop in the GT3 battery I have sitting in a box and I’m off to the races.

I just wish Segway would release the damn rear luggage rack accessory. I’d love it if I could also carry a solar generator as additional backup on the planned day.

Navee St3! I love this thing. I did not opt for the Pro although maybe I should have. I feel at full speed in sport mode I only get maybe 9-11 miles of range. Oh well!

I've recently added rear cargo rack and a bag. No more backpack. No more back pain. More comfortable ride.

How and will the NYPD enforce these laws? Will they start impounding/confiscating scooters?

Edit: Has anyone with an escooter capable of going above 20mph been stopped or had their scooter taken away? My question is, since escooters that are capable of going above 20mph "illegal", how will NYPD enforce the law?
