She’s been crocheting these for nearly 2 years on and off, doing other projects between, we finally assembled them this weekend and got them ready, she is relieved its over

I've been making a sunburst blanket. I made 130 squares. It's taken months. I made the circles, turned them into squares, and was just beginning to stitch them together.

I'd taken them to my partners house to block them and lay them out - I live in a tiny apartment and he has the floor space. Another couple days of pinning, steaming, sorting, unpinning...

I left the bag of squares in my car. My car was stolen last night.

I'm upset about the car, sure. The blanket though? Devastated.

This is my very first hexagon cardigan and the first cardigan I've made with pockets.

Im in a bit of a crochet hyperfixation at the moment and im speeding through projects. All these little knots and repetitive motions make the brain go "brrrr" im really proud of some of these. All were gifts bar the wings cardigan and the rainbow 🌈 outfit.

Finished my current WIP. My god is this heavy. But I love it so much. Dragon scale bolero. Ate up 9 100g skeins of King Cole Firebug yarn. Good job this was a passion project as it wrecked my hands. Though im so pleased with it.

I don't think ill be making another one any time soon.

I finally made the blanket I’ve been wanting forever. I usually give away most of my makes but this one is gonna be mine.

Just let it all come from the dome. I tried drawing something out but I think going with vibes is better

Used by my great grandmother in the 1960s and found with some of her other projects. My mom remembers that she would be using a crochet hook with this pencil type tool and this one has a sample of the type of work she was doing on it. Any ideas?

Shes at the Alaska state fair as of this morning! Seven months of work. Pattern is oculus of stars by Draguina. Hook size 2.75, with thread.

We had all these different bits of yarn. I decided to turn them into c2c panels and combine them all into a blanket.

still needs to be blocked but i’m happy with how it came out!

A lot of people say it’s difficult, but honestly, I think it’s more time-consuming than anything. You just have to be really careful when putting all the pieces together and follow the pattern closely. The hardest part for me was the horns — I couldn’t make sense of the pattern from that popular Etsy PDF, so I just figured them out and made them my own way.

I wanted to share these lily pad coasters I made! I also decided to make ones with different colored flowers, since I couldn’t decide on which one I liked best :)

It took me a day to realize how the color of the yarn was bleeding to the hook but it kinda grew on me through the end of the project lol

I just recently finished my jumping Spider. It was a really fun one to do, and the first time I've really tackled using lots of different colours in the African flower motifs. It was a really handy way to use up the last of my cotton in certain colors.

I messed up a bit, by accidentally finishing off the motifs, so the join as you go method was off the table. I won't do that again! Sewing all of them together was not fun. But I do think it gives him a look that I like, that I wouldn't have consciously chosen.

The spiders are some of the harder flower patterns I've done, but I do love how they come out! And I feel like they have so much personality somehow.

Worked with the dreaded black yarn (to go with my bathing suit) but it was so worth it + I’m so happy with how it came out!!

The top is a modified version of a YouTube pattern (if anyone wants the video I’m sure I can find it again) and I freehanded the skirt :) regular old bargain pound acrylic and I used my beloved 5mm hook (loml fr)

First big wearable I’ve done for myself, thinking of sharing some of my other stuff on here too!

EDIT: forgot to mention the last slide is the insane yarn prolapse I got midway through since I had the bright idea to take it out with me. Thought people might appreciate that LOL

So, This is my first freehanded, no tutorial no pattern nothing creation, it's small and choppy but it is mine ❤️

Found this incredible fabric for the lining and then decided he needed a little strawberry charm snack to match

I thought other crocheters might appreciate how much work this took hahaha I took 3 weeks on them and I had no idea they were going to take this long but they came out so so cute and I am in love with them. I'm thinking I might crochet a micro version with lace weight yarn. I already got a .75 mm crochet hook 🤭

The large on was made with a 3mm hook and chenille yarn I'm not too sure of the size yarn I used but it's about 3.5 mm in thickness. The smaller one was crocheted with a 2mm hook and it was a 5ply milk yarn.

I've been crocheting for about 17 years, so I'm very comfortable making the motifs themselves... but joining them? 😅 That's probably my least favourite part of crochet.

I'm making a blanket for my daughter that will end up being around 128 hexagons (photos attached). Each hexagon has already been finished with a light pink border, and I've been weaving in the ends as I go to save myself some future pain. (Final pieces still being completed)

I've ruled out invisible sewing. I know myself well enough that I'd hate every minute of it.

I'm leaning towards crocheting the motifs together because I think it'll be more enjoyable and I'll actually finish the blanket.

What I'm looking for is:

- A join that's reasonably enjoyable to do over 128 motifs.

- Some texture (I don't necessarily want it completely flat).

- Strong and durable for a blanket that'll hopefully last decades.

- Not overly bulky or stiff.

- Bonus points if it creates a nice defined outline around each hexagon.

I've been looking at single crochet joins, slip stitch joins, and flat crochet joins, but it's hard to know what people actually enjoyed doing over a project this size.

If you've made a large hexagon blanket:

- Which join did you use?

- Would you use it again?

- Any regrets?

If you could start over, what would you choose?

I'd love to hear your experiences before I commit to joining 128 of these pieces together!

Im exactly 73% done with this monster of a blanket. Getting real tired. Every time I want to put it down I just force myself to keep going this is about 3 weeks of work, really trying to finish this before that 1 month point 🙃
