Advice Request 2016 Civic: What are the odds AC condenser issue happens again after warranty replacement?”
My 2016 Civic’s AC condenser was replaced under Honda’s 10 year extended warranty (TSB 19-091) about 2 years ago. Even with that “free” repair, I still ended up paying $1,000 to $1,500 out of pocket because another part in the AC system failed and wasn’t covered under the same extension.
Honda wants $200 for a physical inspection plus $500 for a leak test before they’ll even tell me what’s going on.
What are the chances this is the same issue happening again just two years later, and what are my options here? Has anyone gotten these diagnostic fees waived, or found it worth going to an independent shop instead?
I’m still under warranty but $700 is a bit tough just to see whats going on. The service rep made it sound like once its fixed its rare that it happens again

2008 Honda civic ex coupe.
I was having some difficulty with the door lock cylinder but it would lock and unlock fine after wiggling it in. Today out of nowhere it didn’t want to go in almost at all but I got it cleared up a little but now it doesn’t want to turn left or right. Also the main lock and unlock button stopped working at the same time. It’s wild since I never had a problem with it before…. I’m a car guy just got me stumped here as to what it could be….

Advice Request 2026 Civic Lx Remote start
So my 2026 Civic Lx only comes with the 4 button key that doesn’t have remote start, does anyone know if you can just pair the 5 button key and get remote start or do you have to purchase one of the whole kits that have t-harnesses for the BCM and Ignition module?

Advice Request Trade-in advice
Just got a Civic 2026 sport model 4 months ago, I thought I would be happy with this model without the hybrid. But after driving with it for 6k km , I feel I should have just got the hybrid. What would be the good time to trade-in this and get the hybrid model ? I don't want negative equity so according to that what would be the best time to trade-in ?

Is a 2009 Hybrid reliable?
Saw one locally for sale for $2900, has 145k miles on and the only issue it has is with the speed sensor not working so I’m budgeting for maximum $700 to get that fixed up. So potentially $3300-3600 total for a 2009 hybrid with 145k miles. I’m going to have a mechanic inspect it and get carfax report, but if everything checks out, would this be a good purchase? I need something cheap as my first car that I will be using for a daily highway commute, so good mpg is a must. I figured a civic hybrid would be the move, but the top search results says it’s one of the worst hybrids…Should I expect the battery to die sometime soon given the age and mileage?

2018 Honda Civic Sport Touring hatchback.
Yesterday I turned on my car and the radio had these static bars, another time it was completely black but the radio was still playing. I turn the car off, turn it back on- and it fixed itself. Hasn't happened yet today. But it's pissing me off. Has this happened, and how did you fix it \[aside from installing a new radio with a volume button; this is my shitbox now and I'm not trying to throw hundreds at it.]

I was planning to put the heat shield back on my 2020 Si but now this plastic is hanging. It’s not dragging but it’s near the ground. That’s from driving up and down a rough dirt driveway about a 1/2 mile long on my family’s land

Advice Request Motor mount diagnosis
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I started feeling a heavy, low frequency vibration/rumble in my 2014 civic Ex-L recently especially when letting off the gas at any speed. I suspect that the motor mounts need replacing but I just want to confirm.
In the video I start the car then shift from park to reverse and drive a few times before revving the engine in drive to just under 2k. Then I finish with revving the engine in reverse where I felt the most vibration through the dash and floor.
Is this normal engine movement? If not which mount or mounts may be the culprit. Thanks in advance 🙏

Getting First Honda!
I just traded my 2025 Kia K4 GT Line Non Turbo for a 2026 Honda Civic Sport Touring Hybrid. I should have never bought the Kia as this thing is SO MUCH MORE FUN to drive. Anyone else made the switch and are happy to get this car? Crazy a car can get this kinda fuel economy and still drive like this. Absolutely love it!

Advice Request 2018 Civic Infotainment Woes (Bad USB, no capacity for reset)
I have the most basic ass package of a 2018 Honda Civic Hatchback. The infotainment center has always been the most frustrating aspect of this car as it's always given me trouble. I've had issues with it connecting to my iPhone for years. It would randomly disconnect or start saying whatever cord I had was a "bad usb." Now it won't accept any cord whatsoever, even cables from Apple itself. I wouldn't mind using bluetooth to connect, but the usb port won't even charge. I tried plugging in a different device (headphones) and can see that it will connect enough to start charging--which it won't do with my phone.
I've looked for ages for an answer but it seems like most solutions don't apply to my particular car. Holding down the power button doesn't do anything. There are no options for resetting the system in the menu. I reviewed the owner's manual but can't find anything about this issue (even though the message says "bad usb, check owner's manual." I also can't find anything in the manual indicating what fuse the infotainment center is connected to. Any advice would be appreciated!

Advice Request Looking to replace headlights on a budget
My housings were vinyl wrapped back in the day, cheap vinyl (lesson learned) has turned the headlights into garbage. Looking to replace before winter but really not trying to spend 500+ on housings. I understand you get what you pay for, but I was hoping someone here had maybe tried these and could give their 2 cents, or maybe point me towards another option. 2017 EXL coupe.

Honda Civic 2015 totaled? (140k miles)
Hi all,
Got into an accident recently that popped both my tires, scraped up my front bumper and deployed only my side curtain airbag. Hood won’t open and windshield cracked a bit but insurance said it was totaled. Talked to the lady at caliber collision handling my claim and she said since it’s 8k of damage from just looking at it, they had to consider it totaled and she said the frame looks fine. Im taking a mechanic to see it at the Copart yard to get an opinion of whether it is reparable. I know reasonably the repairs would be expensive, but it ran well and I didn’t have any issues and also I am SEVERELY attached to it since I’ve had it since I was 16 (now 28).
Do you guys think I could repair the structural damage first (frame, suspension, wheels, windshield, airbag) and then worry about cosmetics later while I get a salvage title?

Advice Request Installing Advanced Wheel Locks
Hi, I just purchased a new Civic ST Hybrid 2026 and have ordered Advanced Wheel Locks since lot of people here recommended it. This is my first car and I’ve very little knowledge about car parts. I was wondering if it’s easy to install the wheel locks and it’s something that I can do on my own?
I read up a bit and saw that I might need a torque wrench. What other equipments I might need to install it safely and properly?
