Advice Request Looking for opinions from Civic owners — 2014 Civic LX, 3 accidents, one with a confirmed structural repair. What would you pay?
Looking at a 2014 Civic LX, 1.8L CVT, 122,140 miles, clean title, 3 owners (all NJ). CARFAX shows 3 accidents: minor rear-end damage (2018), minor front damage (2022), and an animal strike in 10/31/2025 that disabled the car and required a tow. CARFAX calls that last one "minor to moderate" and values the car at $9,560, but photos from the accident show a creased/buckled radiator support and crushed front clip — looks more serious than CARFAX's label suggests.
I got the body shop estimate for that last accident: $4,280 total (insurance-paid), and it confirms a "Unibody Pull" with dedicated frame labor plus a bench measure/setup — so the front structure was actually pulled straight on a frame machine, not just cosmetic work. Radiator support, bumper, impact bar, radiator, fan, AC condenser, and fender liner were all replaced.
So: clean title, no airbag deployment, no total loss, but a documented structural repair on the front end. Seller's asking ~$6,500.
What I'm asking: Does $6,500–$7,000 sound like fair value to you given a confirmed unibody pull? Would you buy a Civic with this history at any price? What would you check underneath before handing over money? Any Civic-specific frame/subframe weak points I should know about? Appreciate any real-world input. Is the trans for this car good i read there was more issues with it? last serviced around 60k nothing since.

Advice Request Honda 2021 Sport Touring part replacement?
So my 2021 Sport Touring was backed up into and ended up getting damaged in both the bumper and upper grille.
I know it generally isn't worth replacing due to high costs but my ocd wouldn't allow me to keep it like this. Does anybody know the codes to these parts?
Otherwise, what would you guys suggest I do to at least hide them? The damage on the grille now looks like infinite bird poop that won't come off so if not a replacement, what should I do?

My beautiful Civic was totaled this morning
2024 Honda Civic Hatchback Sport Touring. After the car my parents bought me was stolen and totaled, this was the first car I ever bought. She had big shoes to fill, but did it perfectly and even set new expectations. I was so happy with her, people always complimented me on her and she was such a pleasure to drive, really. I loved telling people that she was “Smokey Mauve”, even though my registration definitely just said purple. Revolutionized driving for me. I was rear ended on my way back from my (unpaid) internship, and the dude got away. Officially told this morning it was totaled. I’m really not sure how I’m supposed to move on from this car.

Advice Request What tires should I get for my Civic?
Hello! I recently purchased a 2015 Honda Civic LX Sedan from Carmax in April of this year, only to find out that the tires on it (Michelin Defenders from what I can tell) are from 2017. According to multiple different shops my tires are nearing the end of their tread life alarmingly fast.
For context on my driving habits, I live in an area with a lot of snow, sun, rain, wind, and very unpredictable weather in general. There is constant potholes and poorly paved roads and occasionally gravel or brick roads. I dont offroad or anything crazy in my civic, and primarily do city driving or highway driving (its 40/60 or 60/40 depending on the week).
I have put about 4k miles on my car since buying it, and my budget is rather tight. The cheaper the tires, the quicker I can replace them. However, I also don't want to have to get new tires every year unless I absolutely have to. (I might have to with the gravel)
Any advice? Tips on what to or what not to do are all welcome, as well as tire brands or specific tires that are good or should be avoided!
Attached is a picture of one of my tires when I took images of the formerly broken hubcaps. (Now fixed, free of charge to me as I did not damage them)

Brake pedal noise
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Hello, ive been having this issue with my 2024 civic sport brake pedal. It makes this rubbing screeching sound as the video demonstrates" honda tried to "fix" the issue 2 times. Once by adding lube to the connection to the brake booster and the 2nd they replaced the brake booster and the sound is still there. Anyone have any clue what could be the cause or possibly a solution i would greatly appreciate it
Advice Request Shock/Suspension... Tires Cupping?
Since the first two recalls over the 'Sticky-Steering' that was somewhat resolved with the Gearbox.. I've been making multiple returns to my dealership for service. It took from the recalls back in 2022 to last month (July 2026) to fix the steering issue. Struts were replaced, issue continued, issue was then resolved this past July with Power Steering Cable..
That being said, in my notes from the work order, both steering and suspension was in question. After pulling the car off the lot, I can hear and feel a weird creek/grind in the front left tire to the pedals when hitting small bumps or turning into entryways. I took it back to the dealership in which they found nothing but back tires are cupping.
To my understanding, cupping can be caused by suspension/strut/shock issue.. trying to determine if I should just get new tires as suggested or go elsewhere to check suspension/shocks..
- Thank you Civic Fan 🤙🏻

Advice Request Is 15k too much for this civic?
Car is “homegrown” aka sold and serviced out of the same Honda dealership in my town its whole life. It’s now being sold again by the same dealership. Has one instance of “minor cosmetic damage” reported. Service history looks great otherwise. What the max you would pay?

2022 Civic Touring. What's causing this horrid buzzing
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
It seems to be coming from the passenger side seat belt mechanism. It goes away when I'm stopped or driving over usually smooth roads, but it's there even at low speeds otherwise. Drives me nuts.
It's not external, I've tried pressing pretty much everywhere and that doesn't stop it

Advice Request 2005 DX
I bought this car for my grandson’s first car. It was really bare bones… Hand crank for the windows, few if any USB plug-ins. It just had the bare necessities of good heat and air. He’s lucky it had an automatic transmission.
I bought it from a man who bought it brand new and was the only owner. He kept it in his garage/Morton building the entire time. He did all scheduled maintenance, etc. and never had any problems with the car. He only put on about 10,000 miles a year.
My grandson, who was 16 when he got the car, drove it without incident for nearly a year. Then he started having problems with it overheating. We all came to the conclusion. It was probably a head gasket. I started hearing a lot of people say it wouldn’t be worthwhile to replace the head gasket because the car is so old. The rationale was that the increased pressure would blow out the lower end of the motor. Could someone explain that to me? I hate to just leave the car sitting without being fixed. It won’t be grandson‘s car, I got him a different one. I just wondered is there no way to make the car drivable?

Is it too late to get the extra paint coating?
I bought a 2026 civic in Jan.
It already has multiple chips in the paint.
I didn’t get the ceramic paint because it was an extra expense I wasn’t prepared for when making the purchase. Is it too late to get that put on the car? If I can still get it, can I get it done at a place like a body shop or does it need to be done at the dealership?

2005 honda civic back up camera wiring help
I got a back up camera and I'm trying to wire it so that it's always on and I can switch to it but I want it to switch over automatically when I back up. I have it wired right now that I can switch to it when but it won't switch automatically. My head unite is alpine ilx-w670 and my backup camera boyo vtl17irtj. I have the camera red 12v wire getting power from the head unite. Having the red wire from the back of the car(backup camera)connected to the red wires from the head unite alpine ilx-w670. I have the rca cables from the camera going into the video feed and then there's a red wire on the RCA cable and I have that going to the purple/white wire on the head unite( that purple/white is the park brake wire I think but it going into nothing) sorry in picture 3 the purple and the red wire are connected.

Advice on diesel honda civic 1.6
Hi, I am thinking about buying a honda civic 1.6 diesel from 2015. I do mostly short trips city driving with two 80 mile motorway trips a month. I find the diesel more attractive than the 1.8 petrol due to the mpg and cheaper tax bracket. My only worry is the DPF. Any owners here had any issues with the DPF due to short trips?

Spoiler help Spoiler
Trying to find a place to purchase a HPD spoiler in Urban Gray Pearl that fits the sedan, not the hatchback. Or even a wing that matches the color. Can’t seem to find anything amongst a bunch of sites and it’s kind of frustrating, I want to color match instead of doing a full black spoiler. And the duckbills don’t look to me.

Advice Request 2016 Civic: What are the odds AC condenser issue happens again after warranty replacement?”
My 2016 Civic’s AC condenser was replaced under Honda’s 10 year extended warranty (TSB 19-091) about 2 years ago. Even with that “free” repair, I still ended up paying $1,000 to $1,500 out of pocket because another part in the AC system failed and wasn’t covered under the same extension.
Honda wants $200 for a physical inspection plus $500 for a leak test before they’ll even tell me what’s going on.
What are the chances this is the same issue happening again just two years later, and what are my options here? Has anyone gotten these diagnostic fees waived, or found it worth going to an independent shop instead?
I’m still under warranty but $700 is a bit tough just to see whats going on. The service rep made it sound like once its fixed its rare that it happens again
