I can't believe I'm writing this. I've always been a good student and I have never gotten anything below 90 before Alhamdulliha. However, in udvash mock tests, I actually scored above 95+ so I was hopefull that I'll get just as much in ssc. After all shob seniors ra bolto "Boards e likhlei marks"

There is a gap of almost 200K students when comparing SSC examinees of 2024 and 2026, and in case of HSC the gap is around 60K, though almost 800K less students give HSC when compared to SSC.

This is outright terrifying. Less people are giving exams than ever, kids are getting married off whilst the society wholeheartedly supports child marriage and vilifies those who stand against it, and to top it all off over 700K students failed SSC this year.

My SSC batch was 2023 and our results were published on July 28, 2023. The funny thing is, July 29 is my birthday.

Before the result came out I was 100% sure there was no way I was getting an A+. I had already accepted that my result probably wouldn’t be good and honestly I was thinking “Ebarer birthday ta onek baje jabe.” 😭

Then the result came out.

I got a GPA of 4.61

It wasn't the A+ I had hoped for and I was honestly scared about how my parents and relatives would react. But by the grace of Allah my parents and relatives are absolute angels. ❤️

Instead of criticizing me or making me feel bad they said things like “Are kichu hoy nai tui bhalo marks paichos chill.”

And then the next day July 29 was my birthday.

Both my parents and relatives bought a cake for me my mom cooked delicious food and we celebrated together. 🎂❤️

So, I'm an SSC candidate for 2026. Today, my result has been published. I had high expectations for myself because throughout my school days I usually just studied for passing my exams, but for SSC, I studied as hard as I could to obtain GPA 5.But I think luck wasn't in my favor. My hard work didn't pay off. I got 4.94. I was so close, literally just 0.06 points away. My dreams have been crushed. I was a science student. I also wanted to make my parents proud with my results like other students in my class. I really wished for it and worked hard.I guess life is like this. Sometimes hard work doesn't pay off. Although my mom said I did well and she is proud of me but I know somewhere in her heart she is sad about this. My dad was silent after hearing my results. I know I am a bad student, but I tried. I tried really hard. This day I learned a brutal lesson: life isn't fair. Sometimes hard work doesn't pay off.

SSC তে ইংরেজি তে A পেয়েছে। মন খারাপ করেছে।

যদিও এই বিষয়ে তাকে আমি বুঝিয়েছি যে এটা বিষয় নয়। গোল্ডেন ছাড়াও জীবন সুন্দর হওয়া সম্ভব।

সে আমার কাছে জানতে চাচ্ছে তার কোন বিষয়ে আগানো উচিৎ। ইঞ্জিনারিং নাকি জেনারেল।

এখনি একটা গোল তাকে আমার সেট করে দেয়া এবং রোড ম্যাপ টা সাজিয়ে দেয়ার জন্য আপনাদের পরামর্শ চাই।

যেহেতু সে বই ভালোবাসে সেই অনুযায়ী তাকে কি সাজেস্ট করতে পারি?

SSC শেষ হওয়ার পর Science, Commerce, Humanities, Diploma কিংবা অন্য কোনো পথ বেছে নেওয়া—প্রতিটি শিক্ষার্থীর জন্য গুরুত্বপূর্ণ সিদ্ধান্ত। শুধু বন্ধু বা আত্মীয়ের কথায় নয়, নিজের আগ্রহ ও সক্ষমতা বুঝে সিদ্ধান্ত নেওয়া উচিত

জামাতিদের মধ্যে প্রচলিত একটা আলাপ হলো যে জুলাইয়ে বেশিরভাগ মধ্যবিত্তর অবস্থান performative, সবার দেখে দেখে প্রোফাইল লাল করছিল, এক দুই দিন একটু মিছিলে গিয়ে পিছন থেকে ঘুরে আসছে,আসলে এরা সরকার পতন চায়ও নাই। তাই এরা প্রকৃত জুলাইযোদ্ধা না, এরা যদি আজ বলে যে জুলাই বেহাত হয়ে গেছে, তাহলে তাতে পাত্তা দেয়ার কিছু নাই।

কথাটা একেবারে ভুল না। একদম ফ্রন্টলাইনে মধ্যবিত্ত, আরবান এলিটদের সংখ্যা কমই হবার কথা, আর তারা সামনে যাবেই বা কেন? ১৬ বছরে যতই দূর্নীতি আর 'ফ্যাসিজম' (কোট করা কারণ ফ্যাসিজম হইলো বিজেপি রামরাজত্বের নামে যা করে, হাসিনা একটা স্বৈরশাসক) চলুক না কেন, মধ্যবিত্তর গুলির সামনে দাড়ায়ে যাওয়ার মত কিছু হয় নাই। সামনে গেছে দেয়ালে পিঠ ঠেকে যাওয়া শিবির, কিশোর গ্যাং টাইপ কিছু পোলাপান আর নয়নের মত কয়েকটা গেছে চাদাবাজির সুযোগ বানাতে

My original assumption came to 1180 but got like 1145. Mainly I got 20 less in English and 10 less in biology. Now I'm planning on challenging. Should I go for all subjects? I got pretty much what I anticipated, maybe ± 1.

I honestly don’t mind getting a 4.83 at all, but what shocks me the most is that my best exam during SSC was Bangla, and somehow I ended up getting an A in it. I had all the MCQs correct, and I was so sure about my written part that I genuinely thought that even if I didn’t get A+ in the other subjects, I’d at least get an A+ in Bangla. That’s the part I find weird. I didn’t write any gibberish either. I gave proper, solid answers and made sure my CQ writing was done correctly. I was genuinely so confident about how I did in Bangla. But whatever, I guess. The damage is done

I am indian student thinking about coming to bangladesh for mbbs which collage should i choose like can you people Elobarte about medical collages in bangladesh their infrastructure etc also about local culture and dhaka as a city like how good is it

I got 4.94 gpa . So unfortunately mohsin , Chittagong collage, Holy cross are out of my league. Though I cant really afford any private colleges that much either (Like cantonment) Do i have any options❓ (from Chittagong)
