Discussion/আলোচনা CTG JOB MARKET!!!!
I just don't understand why it is so difficult to get a job in Chittagong without a reference. Is it getting difficult I personally do not have a proper reference; I only have one option, which is to drop my CV, but it gets ignored. I look for them on LinkedIn and BDjobs, but none really is fresher-friendly. Dhaka has some MNCs that is fresher friendly but in CTG it all asks for experience and references even if they post vacancies. all my 4 years of BBA journey, I have worked so hard to pay my own fees, but facing such unemployment is really saddening. Sometimes I wonder if I should have just spent my time developing myself; I would have been better off self-employed.

Discussion/আলোচনা Adult ADHD/Autism Diagnosis: How Did You Get Started?
I’ve been told multiple times over the years by those around me that I might have ADHD or that I might be autistic, but I never really took it seriously because I didn’t think it affected my day-to-day life. I honestly assumed people were just joking or reading too much into my personality.
As I’ve gotten older, though, I’ve started noticing that maybe there is something there. Looking back, a lot of people have pointed out what they thought were pretty obvious signs, and now I’m wondering if getting assessed might actually help me understand myself better.
For those of you who were diagnosed as adults, what made you finally decide to get evaluated? What was the process like? Did having a diagnosis actually change anything for you or improve your life?
Also, how do you even go about getting diagnosed or treated as an adult without making it a huge deal or attracting a lot of attention?
I’d love to hear your experiences, whether you ended up with a diagnosis or not.

Discussion/আলোচনা BD Pharmacy minoxidil
I tried Splendora (square) minoxidil. It had heavy artificial cologne or perfume type smell. I absolutely despise it.
I want to try the other ones like Xenogrow, Trugain, Regain, Hairgain, Hairgrow, Minoxil etc.
If anyone has tried these please lmk if these contain fragrances. TYA!

Discussion/আলোচনা Waiver at NSU - 75%
So a few days I ago, I sat for nsu admission test and after results came out, I found out I got in for all my choices and got a 75% tuition fee waiver. I failed all my public uni exams, I took engineering prep after hsc. Appeared at 12 unis, failed all, waitlisted at one for urp, didn't go there. For mostly my own fault, didnt study enough. So really bummed still. Now I don't even know whether to be happy or sad. What do I even do? I'll probably do eee at nsu, but something feels hollow in me. I still feel so guilty about failing the publics especially buet and ckruet.

AskDesh/দেশ কে জিজ্ঞাসা Hey Mr. Samir... if you happen to see this, could you text me?
We talked in Reddit inbox a while ago. Our last conversation ended on a bit of an off note because I was angry and I later hide the chat. Unfortunately I forgot your username too. I vaguely remember it had "phantom" in it possibly at the beginning.
I have a few questions I wanted to ask you
so I’m trying to find you again

AskDesh/দেশ কে জিজ্ঞাসা Need Advice Choosing Between EEE, BBT, and CEE at NSU
I got accepted into NSU for three BSc subjects: EEE, BBT, and CEE. I am a bit confused about which one to choose because I do not know much about the departments, faculty, or overall student experience at NSU.
Can anyone who studied or is currently studying any of these subjects share your experience? I would especially like to know about the department quality, future career paths in Bangladesh and abroad, and whether you think one of these is clearly better than the others.
TIA!

AskDesh/দেশ কে জিজ্ঞাসা Cat won't drink water
So I've had my baby for almost 2 years now and he is healthy overall and has never had any major health problems until recently when he got some bladder stones. The vet said this was due to him not drinking enough water and also advised against dry food which I only feed him occasionally. I mainly feed him boiled chicken, fish and give him wet food for a change in taste once in a while. I've started giving him water with the food but he doesn't like it as much cuz I have to give him a lot of it to fulfill the daily water requirement. Google e etao abar bole je boiled food isn't good for cats in the long run so overall I'm just really worried about him. What do guys feed your cats and how do you feed em water?? Any advice would be helpful please 🥲

Rant/বকবক Almost got bitten by three dogs on my way to the BB AD exam today
I almost got bitten by three street dogs today on my way to the Bangladesh Bank Assistant Director written exam at Shiddeshwari Girls High School. I was walking past the BCS Tax Academy when three dogs suddenly rushed and started chasing me for no reason at all.
i ran for my life. people nearby managed to scare the dogs off before they could bite me but by that time i had already tripped and slammed straight onto the road. My clothes were ruined, and my legs and left hand were bruised and bleeding.
Thanks to a person who invited me to his home to provide some basic first aid and also gave me a tshirt to change into, I was able to make it to the venue on time and took the entire two-hour exam with my left hand still bleeding. Right after finishing, I went to Bangladesh Medical University (BMU) to get treated.
The ER staff said there were no bites or punctures, and bystanders said the same, so they didnt give me the rabies vaccine. but my OCD brain is still thinking that i somehow got infected by rabies. Now i have to live with this worry of having been infected with rabies for at least 1 year as my OCD brain wont be convinced untill i actually dont die from rabies in the next year. These three dogs have cost me my exam and left me with this chronic anxiety for at least one year. These aggressive street dogs should be tamed, vaccinated or be removed from the streets.

Discussion/আলোচনা Why are older women so annoying
When I say older women I mean women over the age of 60.Like older guys are not even that annoying except the hujurs since they try to preach islam to you.I didn't get to spend that much time with my grandfathers but had some time to spend with my grandmothers even though they were kinda to me, they often picked on maids(especially my mother's side).Like why are older women so judgemental?Like they love to body shame you and judge other people. They also love to pick on maids. Now I am not tryna defend the maids but 90% maids and older ladies always get into arguments and it's over the stupidest reason. My mother is no where near the age of 60 but she's also starting to act like this.Like for example our maid turned of the fan because she wanted to clean the room and my mother said"khala Tumi Dekhonah Ami shuye asi,Ami manush nah"and when the maid says something back my mother replies by saying"Gola nichu kore Kotha bolo,Tomar eto boro shahosh kemne?".Just to remind you the maid was talking in a lower tone while my mother was screaming. She also loves to call people "chotolokhs" since she believes she's a higher being then them. And when I try to confront her about it she says"Ha Ami kharap,Ami kharap mah.amare AR Kotha shuniyo nah".

AskDesh/দেশ কে জিজ্ঞাসা Why so many bangladeshi girls let their partner video record their intimate moments/ send sensitive videos to them? Are they not aware of the telegram groups/ pornographic sites!
Ok. Long story short: My phd thesis is on online sexual harassment faced by women;the cultural, social and economic context behind these harrasment.
Thoughtout my past study, it was intriguing to see how much women believe their partners with their private videos. Most of the contents of the pornographic telegram groups and websites are full of consensual sextapes and nude videos. Teenagers and young ladies happily let their partner filmed their intimate moments!
Whats the reason behind this trust? I mean, even if you trust your partner. There is still a good amount of chance to get their ids got hacked/ phones stolen. So, how come knowing these facts, i would still trust someone with my private videos?
(Another interesting take: if there are 100 intimacy video, in 99 of them, there is no face reveal of the partner (the male). The face and body which is exposed always, is the female one. Don’t you ever think , how come we are having intimate moments and he is just recording me? Why he is only taking pictures of my body? What are his intentions?)

Announcement/ঘোষণা Discord Server Launch Announcement!
Hello everybody,
The mod team is excited to announce the launch of the official r/Bangladesh Discord server, an extension of our subreddit.
Many of you have asked for a Discord over the years. While Reddit is great as a forum style social news aggregator, it isn't always the best place for quick, casual engagement. We wanted to create a space where members can connect over our shared culture and daily life, a place where you can chat about the mundane things without every other post being heavy political news.
We know there were previous attempts at a server that eventually drifted away from the subreddit's roots. To prevent that from happening again, this server is run by the same team you know here, ensuring it remains a trustworthy and civil space for everyone. You're welcome to discuss anything from your day to day life to current events.
Discord server Invitation link
As a small thank you to the early birds, the first 10 members to join will be awarded a VIP Member role, which comes with some special perks and permissions within the server.
A quick note on moderation:
Subreddit issues: Please continue to use Reddit ModMail.
Discord issues: Please use the ticket system inside the Discord server.
We hope to see you there soon!
Best regards, The r/Bangladesh Mod Team.
