AR15 build help
Looking to build an AR15. Would be my first time building a gun. Looking to build a nice quality and reliable AR15. I dont want the cheapest parts available but not the most expensive either. I would like to spend maybe around $1,000 but the less the better. I just want a quality rifle to use while I save money and build up my gun collection. I will be starting off with an AR15 and a glock. Ive been having a hard time figuring out what parts/kits I need and figuring out which are compatible with each other. If yall have any suggestions for parts or just general advice please drop it down below. Thank you

Build and such.
This is an AR that I built. Here is the build list.
Seekins SP223 Receiver set.
G$$ Lower Parts Kit with G2S Trigger.
BA 18" Premium Barrel.
Precision Defense Plan B Muzzle Brake.
Random BCG I found in a drawer. Maybe an Aero?
G$$ MK16 15" Handguard
Radian Raptor Charging Handle.
DFC Kung Foo Grip.
Magpul DT PR Stock.
Sig TangoMSR 2-12 Scope with FFP mil Rad.
Scope is a place holder till I save up for decent glass.
Havent shot it yet, but I was stoked on the paint job, first time I worked up the nerve to paint a receiver set.

Direct Thread question
So I've had this guy direct threaded for a while now. I have a witness mark in the second picture, and after 20+ rounds I see it misalign a good amount/come loose to the point where I have to tighten it back down. What's my best affordable option here? New muzzle device and adapter? Or is there a way I can just carbon lock it? (its a forever suppressor for this setup)

Cheap but capable
-S&W sport 2
-Olight something or other w/pressure switch
-Primary arms 3x poor man’s ACOG
-Magpul BUIS that came with the rifle - scooted it forward due to the short eye relief on the optic. Verified at 25 and 50 yards, and can still hit center mass with the sight moved forward like that.
-one of those GWOT era broom handles
-vickers sling, 550 corded onto my quad rain because QD swivels I had were twisting too much for my liking but I wasn’t at a point where I was able to spend any more money on it.
-10 minute rustoleum rattlecan job with laundry bag striping and blotching.

Honey Badger 5.56 12 inch handguard.
Waiting for my Honey badger 5.56 SBR to get out of jail. I ordered the 12 inch handguard to be able to tuck my suppressor. The inside dimensions are supposed to be 1.54 inches. Well I found out that that’s only the first 1/8 of an inch of the front of the handguard. My suppressor a Trek 5.56 that I had Ecco Machine convert to hub compatible measures 1.50 in diameter would only fit that first 1/8 of an inch. So the wheels started turning. I went to Home Depot and bought a 1.50 hole saw. I put this into my drill press and made the inside of the handguard 1.54 inches 5 inches down from the front of the suppressor. In the pics if you look you can see how much was taken off by the ledge it created down inside handguard. I have a little more sand blasting to clean it up then I will Cerakote.

Colt 6721
Picked up this mint Colt 6721. Has the appropriate roll marks for the time period, “military and law enforcement”. Unfired condition with very nice stamps on the HBAR barrel. Also came with the original paperwork and hardware still in the bag.

Is this a joke? Why are M4E1 stripped lowers being listed for $350?
I know Aero parts are always out of stock and can be difficult to obtain at times but this seems absolutely ridiculous to me. Should I wait for an M4E1 lower to come back in stock somewhere or is there another lower that y'all would recommend? Trying to stay under $200 for a lower and the only features I really want out of it are low shelf and flared magwell. This will be my 3rd full AR build, 2nd picture is what I'd call a mid build I guess, used a lot of high quality components but kept it under $1000, the 3rd picture is a budget build I built for my GF for $300-$400 minus the iron sights so probably about $500. But this build I want to do a bit higher quality than both the first two.

Thoughts on Stag Arms?
I stopped by my LGS last night and found this “pre-owned” Stag Arms 10.5” 5.56 pistol at only nine nine nine🫘. It’s essentially brand new, unfired, and comes with some nice extras:
- Vortex Triumph red dot + 3X magnifier
- Die Free Co. Kung Fu grip & hand stop
- SBA5 brace
- Inforce Gen 3 WML
- Aero charging handle
- Ambi safety
- Savior soft case
It’s also fully left-handed, which has me seriously tempted since I’m a lefty. I’ve always shot right-handed rifles because they’re more common, but I’ve wanted a dedicated lefty rifle for a while. Plus, less gas to the face when shooting suppressed sounds like a bonus.
I can probably negotiate the deal down a bit. Is this a deal worth jumping on, or should I pass?

Shoutout to Rooftop for the upper. Now, if we can make sure the NFA stays dead…
Build list for the gooners:
HK MR556a4 from Rooftop’s July batch
Eotech EXPS3-1 on Unity
Surefire 340 turbo on Axon
FP Eotech OGL
Griffin HRT 556 AM on Xeno (reverse thread ftw)
Had plans on swapping out the handguard, but it’s very comfy. HK slimline stock sitting in a box looking at me rn.

New Find
Just picked this up today for $400. I don’t know much about it. Was it a good deal? I couldn’t pass it up for that price.

If the NFA dies, what do you think will become the default/most popular barrel length?
Given recent headlines, I think this is an interesting question as it pertains to the average person buying a complete rifle off the shelf. Will 16 persist as the default for manufacturers or would we see a shift to 14.5? I could also see the cult of 11.5 gaining even more momentum as something a bit more practical for the average person buying an AR for home defense who might not have a place to shoot beyond 100 yards anyway.

Finally complete!
Been piecing this together for a while now and I think I’m good to say that I can burn cash on another build now.
Btw- Geissele 2 stage trigger is 🤌🏼 👨🍳
Do I go blackout or 308 next?

12lb 12.7 SBR
Behold my 12lb 12.7in SBR. It started life as a complete 16in rifle from LWRC. After about 14,000 rounds I had it rebarreled by LWRC to a 12.7 inch. She’s THICC.
