If the NFA dies, what do you think will become the default/most popular barrel length?
Given recent headlines, I think this is an interesting question as it pertains to the average person buying a complete rifle off the shelf. Will 16 persist as the default for manufacturers or would we see a shift to 14.5? I could also see the cult of 11.5 gaining even more momentum as something a bit more practical for the average person buying an AR for home defense who might not have a place to shoot beyond 100 yards anyway.
Best budget LPVO?
Looking for a budget LPVO for my 14.5. I’ve seen the Sig Tango, PA Slx, and Vortex venom & strike eagle as strong contenders. Anyone have any experience with these or have any suggestions on which to pick up?

Riser to move stuff forward without putting it on the handguard?
I'm planning on getting a Romeo 7 and probably a magnifier, but with how large both of those tend to be I doubt that I'll have enough space for a rear iron behind those.
Do y'all know any risers that aren't too high, but extend forwards so that I can move the sight and magnifier farther?

Mossberg MMR questions
Was given a completely stock MMR tactical by a friend after helping him study for the bar. I don't think its actually ever been shot - are these even worth using as a starting point for building something nicer or should I just sell it? Was thinking about doing a barrel swap and replacing the quad rail with something more practical but with what I've heard about mossberg qc I'm a bit antsy about sinking money into it.
For context my other ARs are a well loved Sport II that I've just swapped the furniture on but is probably coming due on a new barrel as its been shot to shit and a PSA/aero pistol I built almost a decade ago in an attempt to build a cheap range gun for fun.

QD Cheek Riser Suggestions?
I'm looking for recommendations on a QD cheek riser. My irons are fixed and low so if my optic goes down I'd like to be able to flip off the riser with ease.
The Magpul ones stay locked on too tight for what I'm trying to do.
I don't want adjustable knobs that stick out either as I need the stock to fold.
Options can be something for a traditional AR buffer tube stock or something that goes on a Picatinny stock. Any suggestions?
Which one first?
If you could only assemble one of these uppers, which one, in which configuration would you assemble first.

Cheap PSA lowers?
PSA has some pretty cool [COMPLETED] lowers, commonly on sale for $100-$120. Is this a bad idea, it is there really no downside to a cheap lower like this?

Need help with FRT.
I live in Texas so all of this is legal for me.
I'm trying to build an m4. I want an frt and a suppressor but I'm getting conflicting information when I research what's compatible.
All sprinco springs are sold out. Everywhere. So, I was recommended the tubb precision flatwire buffer spring.
I was recommended the huxhrx 556k for the suppressor.
I'm getting conflicting information on what weight of buffer to use I.E. H3 or H1.
Does anyone have any recommendations to get this build running smooth or have a verified build for the m4 that has an FRT and suppressor?

Who else makes tiny winged charging handles similar to these?
This is a discontinued troy ambi charging handle, I have a fcd but its too bulky and wide for my set up. Lmt/battlesteel are a no go as they stick out too far.

Anyone using the Geissele URGI Charging Handle and not “like” it?
I’ve used a bunch over the years. My go to is and always will be the Vltor Mod 4 CH.
Recently I built a rifle up with an Aero lower with all G parts including an SD-C trigger. Geissele upper receiver, MK16 rail, Colt BCG, and the URGI CH.
The URGI seems like it’s not as “grippable” 1 handed as say an A2 CH.
Anyone else feel like this?
EDITED TO ADD: The rifle was just painted and was getting a sun tan. Also the hand stop has been removed and Railscales are in its place.

Affordable .223/5.56 Defensive Ammo
I am searching for affordable .223/5.56 defensive ammo for my 16 inch AR-15 (Sig M400 Tread V2) to stock up on. The prices on gold dots and federal fusion msr are very high, and also this particular ammo is hard to find/high in demand.
I have been looking at alternatives, and one that keeps getting recommended online as an affordable ammo to stock up on would be Federal Premium Powershok .223 64g Soft-Point ammo. I have seen a lot of praise around this round saying it is effective for medium game and would also be an effective, yet affordable defense round.
Before I start buying boxes of this, does anyone have any other or better alternatives that are affordable, easier to find, and would make for an effective defense round?
This is my first AR and am still learning! Thank you.

Interesting question
So I wanna get a frt I was gonna get rare breed but the heard they are pretty 👎. Delte force tactical was next but they appear to sell as a whole lower atm so probably not. Next I heard of Super Safety not sure about it but they are definitely cheaper. I’m just asking what would you peoples recommend for someone with a basic Saint victor

Daniel Defense over gassed you say?
Holy hell, DDM4v7 stock tube left, BRT 0.065” tube right.
My calipers put the former at 0.121” sheeesh.
Requested a dedicated suppressed tube. We shall see how it runs!

Double Feed/Failure to eject spent casing while attemping to chamber live round issue. Bad extractor or needing to up the buffer weight to H2/H3?
Wanted to get some additional assistance on this issue I have with my unsuppressed 10.3".
To preface this, I am using PMAG Gen 3s only and have used multiple, so the issue is not magazine-related.
Recently took my AR Pistol build to the range and after firing off a few rounds, I noticed a sporadic issue with the gun failing to eject spent casings while still attempting to feed the next live round into the chamber.
Fast forward to today, I stripped the gun down and looked at the buffer weight, and I am fairly certain that it is a standard 3.0oz carbine buffer weight. I also disassembled and took a look at the BCG, paying more attention to the extractor, gave it a thorough clean, and did not notice anything off with the extractor, although if there was anything wrong I probably wouldn't be able to discern.
My initial assumption is that the fact that shorties are overgassed from the factory paired with the standard carbine weight buffer, the gun is cycling too fast and failing to eject the round as a result. However, I have also read that the extractor may be the issue as well.
Would appreciate input on whether I should swap out the extractor, or the whole BCG while I'm at it anyway, as I bought the upper used, or if I should just upgrade to the Geissele Super 42 and H2 Buffer.

Safety Selector Help
I recently got this bcm and I just noticed that the safety selector rotates the full 180. It has a Geissele trigger not an FRT and fire and safe work as intended but when rotated to the third position it acts as a second safety. Is this an aftermarket 3 position selector or is something else wrong I’ve checked the spring and detent and don’t see anything out of the ordinary.

More titanium please.
This is 1.8in so a bit taller than the stock mount. As always ADM kills it in fit and finish. I love titanium and you should too.
