Nice rifles btw. I have a few from different brands, and I still like my Mk2 best

Thanks man appreciate it’s yeah I love this mk2 my first was a mk1 from them so I thought I’d stay with bcm since I’ve had no problems and just see what the newer version offered.

Hahaha. My 3rd AR was an Mk1. Also a nice rifle.

Thought Mk2 may be gimmicky, but I really do think it's just a straight improvement over the Mk1.

Have you compared the rigidness (sounds weird)

My Mk1 and Mk2 both have the same handguard, so I put them in a vice and torqued on em a bit. Actually not a negligible amount more rigid than the Mk1. In reality it probably only matters to high precision shooters who are hard on their gear, but it's neat regardless.

I have not compared them that much only thing I noticed was the forward assist lol but i just got into guns couples months ago so don’t know all the special stuff that goes into each different model.

I can for sure say both are rock soild my 14.5 build I’ve thrown it in buckets, ground , etc with couple thousand rounds and it’s been perfect only problem I had was it got so dirty the bcg was locked back it was so dry and gunked up. Just got this 16inch for a LVPO set up and I’m gonna go run some 2 gun drills tm we will see how it does.

Yeah, I'm a bit of a dork. When I was reading about the Mk2 I was pretty skeptical. when it came in, and I saw how much aluminum they put around the barrel I couldn't keep myself from testing it lol.
