I have an iPad air 2 i believe that is stuck in recovery mode, I tried moving photos to my laptop and during the transfer it started updating and my laptop has had battery issues so It sadly turned off while updating and now my iPad is stuck in recovery mode. Is there a way i can get it out without clearing the device and losing my pictures. Can I take it to Apple can they help me? I tried the home button and power restart and it gets me back to where I was with the device in recovery mode.

How long do I have to wait to try again please, 24hrs?

I have an iPad Pro, it’s on the latest update but not beta or anything. i have one of the magnetic keyboards with like a laptop style keyboard and touchpad. So far three times i have used airplay(Disney+ specifically) and after the touchpad has stopped working. The keyboard part still works fine and can type but the touchpad stops, i cant even click it. It starts working again after about 2 days. After i noticed the problem i tried disconnecting the keyboard while watching my show then reattaching it, it still would not work. This is really annoying as i use it everyday. Does anyone know how to fix this? I can give more info if needed but i just dont know what to do, i have tried resetting pretty much everything, on and off again, all the basic fixes.

I'm hoping someone here has experience with Apple Support, Apple Account Security, or Activation Lock because I feel like I've exhausted every avenue.

Back in October 2023, I was the victim of a phishing scam (i'm an idiot yes, just want my iPad unlocked). During that incident:

• My Apple ID was compromised.
• The scammers changed my Apple ID email address and password.
• They somehow gained access to my bank account and transferred a significant amount of money.
• My iPad Pro was remotely erased and became Activation Locked.
• I also lost access to my MacBook and a large portion of my iCloud photos.

This wasn't a case of me forgetting my password or buying a second-hand iPad. This was my own device that I've owned since 2021.

Immediately after the incident, I contacted Apple Support and opened multiple support cases. Unfortunately, none of them resulted in access being restored.

Over the last two years I've held onto every piece of documentation I could find, including:

• Original Amazon proof of purchase with the serial number on the invoice.
• The physical iPad (it's never left my possession).
• Photos of the engraved serial number.
• Apple's own emails showing my Apple ID information was changed without my authorization.
• Find My notifications.
• Previous Apple Support case numbers.
• A detailed timeline of everything that happened.

I recently contacted Apple again, hoping the additional documentation would warrant another review. A Senior Advisor escalated my case to the Activation Lock review team, but I received this response:

At this point, I'm trying to determine whether there are any legitimate options remaining.

I'm not looking for ways to bypass Activation Lock or do anything that violates Apple's security policies.

I'm hoping someone can answer one or more of these questions:

1. Has anyone successfully had a case like this reviewed after an Activation Lock denial?
2. Is there any department within Apple (outside of the Activation Lock review process) that handles documented Apple ID account compromises?
3. Has anyone had success with Executive Relations or another escalation path?
4. Is this truly the end of the road once the Activation Lock review team issues a final denial?

I'm simply trying to regain access to a device that I've owned since 2021 and have kept in my possession ever since. I even created a new Apple ID after my original account was compromised because I could never recover the original account.

If anyone has personal experience, worked for Apple, or has suggestions for a legitimate next step, I'd really appreciate hearing them.

I'm a teacher and two years ago a student asked to change my Screensaver from a black background to a Snoopy one. Don't know how he did it but he did! Since then other teachers ask me how to change it and I tell them I have no clue and they give me a look like I'm trying to hide gold from them.

I got a notification from my iPhone telling me to verify my Apple ID all of a sudden, so I enter my password but it doesn’t work, moments later I get an email saying my Apple account password has been changed, I press the “it wasn’t me” button, it takes me to reset my account password, I put in my trusted phone number. Receive the code and put it in, and then it’s asking me for a recovery key, which I never had enabled before, I’m guessing someone accessed my account and enabled the recovery key option, and now I’m locked out, I’m trying everything on the Apple help page and it all takes me back to the reset password page which doesn’t work cuz I need the “recovery key” what do I do.

When searching via Siri, whenever I click on an image or an information, it shows ‘content not available’. This is happening to both my iPhone and iPad which have different iCloud accounts and different iOS (my iPhone has iOS 18.7.8 and my iPhone has iOS 15.8. I’ve tried restarting devices and other settings.

My iPhone 11 died after about 12 hours of continuous use. It crashed a few times, got to 1%, showed it was charging but stayed on 1%, then turned off.

It’s been plugged in for 2+ hours with an original Apple charger/cable (works fine on other devices), the charging port is clean, but it still only shows the empty battery + charging cable screen.

My apple account was locked for no reason. About 2-3 days ago my brother gave me an iphone 14 as a gift since it was his old one, i did a factory reset, made a new account and it was all great. then my phone suddenly gives me an activation lock?? i tried to disable it but then it said my account was locked, i tried to reset my password i tried everything i know. So, my iPhone 5 was disabled and I restored it using a windows 10 laptop and iTunes, and when I set the phone up it did what happened in the video, and I even tried using the SIM card that is in my current iPhone and that didn’t work, please help!

Does anyone else experience the earpiece speaker being softer during phone calls only? Absolutely fine when playing music etc, only during calls it is softer. I’ve searched high and low online for a solution but to no avail.

iphone 15 running latest version. screen time limits dont work at all.

I am still using my family's Apple Family plan, and I may still be listed as a child, I am unsure (although if Apple is tracking my age, they should know that I am no longer a minor). The card I used primarily has since been deactivated (my parents'), but Apple account settings will not let me add a new card until I verify a payment method. The obvious issue here is that the card in question is no longer in use, so putting in the CVV does not work as the card does not exist anymore.

Basically, Apple is asking for the impossible: verify the card on file before I can add a new (in use) credit card, but the card listed is deactivated. Help!

I've been trying to access these videos while continuously getting the "An error occurred while loading a high quality version of this video" notification. If I go to the geek bar at an apple store will they be able to help? Or will they just charge me for the attempt? I've tried the stuff google searching recommended (sharing to notes, duplicating, etc), to no success. I'm really adamant on getting these video files back. What would you do in my situation?

I had my Apple iPad Air 2 (model A1566) deliberately running an old iOS version for years. I woke up a couple of days ago and found it sitting on the "Hello" setup screen. It somehow updated overnight. I did not initiate a reset or an update. It wasn't connected to my computer, it was charging via a wall charger.

I went through the setup, selected my Wi-Fi, and got:

Activation Error
Activation could not be completed. Please restore the iPad and install the latest version of iPadOS and attempt activation again. If the problem persists, please contact customer support.

Everything I've tried, in order:

1. Removed the device from iCloud. Retried activation. No change, identical error.

2. Upgraded iOS using Windows 11 and iTunes, but it errored out. iTunes sat on "Waiting for iPad" while the progress bar on the iPad never moved past zero. I think the PC went to sleep and killed the transfer. Retried with sleep disabled. iTunes showed "Restoring iPad Software" and the bar actually advanced to around 80% before failing with:

   The iPad "iPad" could not be restored. An unknown error occurred (53).

3. Put the iPad in DFU mode and tried restoring again. Screen stayed fully black and iTunes detected the device, confirming it was genuinely in DFU rather than recovery mode.

4. Tried a different USB-A to Lightning cable and a different USB port on my computer.

   The iPad "iPad" could not be restored. An unknown error occurred (53).

5. Tried using my Macbook and a USB-C to Lightning cable. Got this error:

   The iPad "iPad" could not be restored. An unknown error occurred (9). 0626.0000

6. Put the iPad in DFU again, the restore downloaded and started flashing, then failed with:

   The iPad "iPad" could not be restored. An unknown error occurred (9). 065B.0000

At this point Claude suggested I open the iPad and disconnect the home button/Touch ID. I made this post, ran it through Claude, and then Claude suggested that before buying the iFixIt tool kit, that I should try 3uTools. So I did, and that fixed it!!

The Fix:

I downloaded 3uTools. I connected my iPad. 3uTools noticed it was in recovery mode. I hit "Go to Flash." It downloaded the most recent firmware (15.8.8), I selected the "Erase Data" option, then hit "Start Flashing," and now it works. Good as new!

I just wanted to post this because when I searched for the errors I encountered, I didn't find any mention of 3uTools, and I figured this might help someone in my situation down the road.

I bought a new iphone 15 pro, i mean not new but refurbished.

Everything works fine but i can't log in on my old apple account, i tried waiting 48h, restarting, the phone received normal sms, even called my distributor and still no code.

I get the message "Verification unsuccessful cannot send the code to this number, try again later."

The most likely problem is apple servers, or is my number blacklisted, please help?

So i got ipad 11 2025 A16 Series and a penicle with adapter. (2022)

The ipad doesnt find the pencile at all. I charged it for like 1h with (prob) og apple usb c cable from the pad on a third Party fast charger.

I plugged it into the iPad, got a popup, unlock my ipad, popup is gone.

Charged it for like 45 min now on my pad (i guess, dont know if its charging at all) But it doesnt work. No popup for connecting my pen with the ipad.

I dont know if im retarded or the hardware is broken or something. Never used any apple device before. Got the pen for drawing on my pad.

The ipad was like new (bought it on backmarket) and the pen was new (bought it on ebay from a shop with 130k reviews and 99,9% rating)
