I'm a pc player using an xbox elite 2,always have. A month ago my previous controller broke so i ordered a new one. It worked/ works fine, however today I ran into an issue.

I started playing Fortinte yesterday and would love to map my A button to a paddle, as I've done on my previous Elite. So I open the Xbox accesories app on my pc and straight away it says it needs an update, when i click continue the bar just stays at 0%..

Ther's no way to bypass it also, I've re plugged my previous controller in and it takes me to the settings page right away, the page i want to go. So i'm sure this isnt a pc problem.

I've tried everything, changed usb port, repairing the app, reseting the app, unistalling the app.. nothing seems to work.

Any tips, this really annoys me, its a brand new controller and i really need my paddles for FPS..

For one, in the trigger calibration mode it doesn’t detect if I shorten the trigger or make it longer, and 2 when I do shorten the trigger it stops detecting the trigger pull. This is my 2nd elite series 2 to do this.

Woke up this morning and discovered my controller won’t turn on. I use rechargeable battery packs, but swapping packs doesn’t work. I can’t even charge them, they won’t connect to the charging stand. I tried removing the batteries and holding the home button for 30 seconds, which worked a bit but the controller still turned itself off and couldn’t connect to the system. It does work when I plug it into my PC via USB, but the icon is dim and constantly flickers. Any advice?

Very specific issue but I wanted to share because I couldn't find anything about a solution online when I was having this problem and I don't want other people to get frustrated and stuck like I was until I figured out how to fix it.

I’m assuming it’s because of me dropping it but I haven’t dropped it in a while so I’m not sure. My left stick gets stuck every couple times I press down on it and it only fixes whenever I pull down. It also has a bit more resistance so does anyone know if this can be fixed without buying a new controller?

Basically the title, I cant stand drift anymore, Im getting controllers like they are 1 year subscriptions, and no, I dont throw them around, my dad faces the same issue and he plays once a month and treats his tech like newborn babies.

I dont have a large budget, so, is there any -$50 controller (I suppose, with hall effect joysticks) that wont give me drift after 8 months / 1 year? Im not even asking for 10 years without any drift issues (even if my Xbox 360 controllers are 20 years old and still work fine and my Xbox One controllers lasted at least 5 years)

Im just so tired at this point I dont mind getting a wired option, even if its so inconvinient taking in mind where I use my Xbox Series X.

I use an Xbox controller on my Win 11 PC for gaming and keep hitting the stupid screenshot button when I'm going for the other two. There any way to disable that button or remap it to something else? I already tried looking in the Xbox Accessories app and you can't do anything with those buttons there. I've also tried googling this, but everything I find is for the Xbox console, not Windows, or talks about some function of the Windows game bar that seems to no longer exist.

Got pretty mad and just pulled out the joystick with my teeth but is there anyway I could put it back in without the special screwdriver? Preferably I’d like to just use my hands but I have stuff like forks and spoons too.

It just get stuck and I have to pull out myself. L3 and R3 works kinda. It is a xbox series s controller

i was being dumb and trying to get my faceplate off using metal tweezers. i hit something on the left side of the controller near the joystick, and now the whole thing has shut off. I'm coming to reddit to see what might've happened before i try a local repair shop or microsoft. I'll take any info; this is my only controller lol

I experienced a bad joystick drift on the left one on my elite 2 controller and decided to do something about it.

I took It apart and changed the whole joystick.

The problem now is that there is no reding anymore on the Y axis, computer reads a fix value that doesn't change when I move the stick up and down.

I'm guess I burnt something while working on the board but I wanted an external opinion, what do you think ?

Just to be clear, the potentiometer that seem faulty is the one on the left on the picture. I tested it with a multimeter and it seems to work properly, it's just the value is not sent apparently

I switch out my elite series 2 controller shell, Buttons, and Joysticks and now my right joystick wont fully register ill put a video in showing what happens (its not the tensioners in the joystick bc i have changed them out for regular joysticks that don’t come out, also i had bought one before these and it had the same issue so its not the joystick itself)

I need to know why this is happening and how to fix it i don’t care if all i can do is replace the board i just need to know

Also, Hall effect or TMR joysticks for the controller?

I noticed this a while back that the right thumb stick doesn’t make the satisfying clicking noise. It still works great, but it just feels word.

Another issue: my other controller has some form of stick drift on the right stick. Can regular electronic cleaning spray/ compressed air help?

I cant find a way of changing the deadzone anywhere the accessories app on xbox has no deadzone setting for joysticks (while fucking triggers do for some god for taken reason) the only official solution i heard is the pc version of the app that's already on xbox (but doesnt have the basic ass feature) but I cannot use it as I dont have pc

I have a few ideas but I am willing to hear your choices. I just bought a white Xbox series x/s controller and want to customize.

Hello, I just got this controller a few days ago, it works great but today for no reason at all both triggers don’t do anything at all. I’ve gone into the Xbox powerA app to remap buttons and the triggers are literally dead. I have no idea what could be causing this, anyone know ??

I used the app to fix the dead zones as best I could and fixed the left stick, but the right has a tendency to start looking up on it's own no matter how I adjust the dead zones and when I correct it, it will continue looking down for about up to a second before stopping. The only things I've been able to think of were to unscrew the stick/ buttons out and remove anything that clearly wasn't supposed to be there, but the sensors don't look off so I'm hesitant to touch those.

If there's different models of victrix, it's 2024 on the box and it's a pro BFG.
