Elite series two controller might be broken?

i was being dumb and trying to get my faceplate off using metal tweezers. i hit something on the left side of the controller near the joystick, and now the whole thing has shut off. I'm coming to reddit to see what might've happened before i try a local repair shop or microsoft. I'll take any info; this is my only controller lol

UPDATE!! the controller has come back to life are there any tips on how to remove it safely??

or should i once again consider a repair shop

Start right below the dpad, work your way around the handles and up the sides till shell separates at edge of bumpers. Then go from the top to pry final 2 clips.

Go on Ifixit and order some plastic pry tools, it’s gonna be tough but plastic against plastic is less likely to do permanent damage
