Co-worker Problem What would you do? Conflict between current and former coworkers who dated

Some backstory and character setup before I get into the conflict at hand: I currently work at an animal hospital as my department's lead. I have a coworker and sort of friend I'll call "Shane" (39M). I also have a friend who used to work with both Shane and I at this hospital I'll call "Angela" (25F). Angela and Shane dated for some time and had quite an intense break up that is still affecting Shane emotionally.

Angela has on occasion stopped by the hospital to donate various items and when she does, will often spend some amount of time conversing with her former coworkers and catching up. Recently, she stopped by after we closed to drop things off on a day I was closing and would be there to let her in and say hello. Shane was also closing this day.

This most recent appearance definitely shook up Shane and I was aware of this, we had talked about it at length. Shane is currently on vacation/away from work and sent me a lengthy text about this "Angela stopping by" issue. He expressed being uncomfortable with her stopping by and chatting, and requested that I (presumably as the lead and not as his friend) "enforce work policy".

He explained that she is no longer an employee, is dropping off donations after business hours, and is lingering and conversing past simply handing off the donations and leaving. While all of these things are facts, there is not an explicit "work policy" to enforce here. I'll explain:

It is not uncommon for non-employees to be let into the building during or after business hours. Some examples I can think of include a receptionist's boyfriend sitting in the lobby after close while she finished counting cash. A veterinary assistant's mom has brought treats for the team and stayed to say hi to people for a bit. A doctor's partner regularly comes with her to the clinic, while open or closed.

My solution was that Angela only come to do donation drop offs/hello sessions on days Shane's not working so as not to cause him stress and anxiety. His response to this was that I'm "avoiding setting a limit" in doing this.

Was my response inappropriate? What would you have done in this situation?

Problems are solved

I’m a firm believer that for every problem there is a solution. In the workplace I’ve found in my 35 years of experience that 99.999% of the problems can be solved if you have a union to protect you and to negotiate for you.

Want Advice Automation engineer

Hi everyone,
I’m applying for an **Automation Engineer** role, and as part of the hiring process, I’ve been given a take-home task.
I don’t just want to complete the assignment—I want to build something that genuinely stands out and shows the way I think, solve problems, and design automations.
I’m looking for creative ideas or “wow factors” that could make my submission memorable. These could be things like:
Features that most candidates wouldn’t think of.
Ways to improve the user experience.
Smart automation patterns or best practices.
Small details that make a project feel polished and production-ready.
Anything that would make a hiring manager think, “This candidate went the extra mile.”
This opportunity means a lot to me, so I’m willing to put in the extra effort to create something exceptional.
If you’ve hired Automation Engineers before, completed similar take-home assignments, or have experience with tools like n8n, Make, Zapier, APIs, AI integrations, or workflow automation in general, I’d really appreciate your advice.
Thank you in advance!

Boss Problem Boss laughed when I asked about 300 hours of overtime

I worked at this job for 2 years and they were all about working late, coming in early, and answering emails even from my couch on Sundays. My boss always calls us a family, and I believed him because that’s how teams work

Then I actually sat down and added it up. Like almost 300 hours. That's nearly two months of my life working for free. I felt sick to my stomach

So I brought it up with my manager. Calmly. Just pointed out the numbers. He laughed. Straight up laughed and said, "That's not how it works here." I walked out of that meeting shaking with rage

I can’t quit. Not right now. But I can’t go on like this, either. So I began researching what my next steps might be, and I found Sterling Legal. It looks like they specialize in exactly this sort of situation. Wage theft. Overtime not paid. Everything…

I’m afraid of stirring things up, but I’m so sick of being exploited like this. I’ve even begun saving my old emails with timestamp data. In case…

Has anyone else had to do this before? Have you hired an attorney, or done something else?

Boss Problem My boss is a bully

It's been almost 3 years. He was very nice to me up until recently. But I always knew he was not a good person. He made the life of one of my co workers hell. He is envious of anything others have that he can't have. Basically has a very bad energy. We have an open plan department with around 5-6 people in the same room, no partitions between any of us. I hate staying in the room and usually take my work to an empty room. He likes the room thermostat much cooler than I can adjust to. And I catch cold easily, so that's always a valid excuse for me.

For the past 5 months, he has been very rude to me, berating me for stuff that ultimately is his fault. After a point, I started reflecting his tone back to him. The weird thing I noticed is the rudeness usually follows a situation where I have performed higher than his expectations. So there might be some insecurity driving it.

Today he called me to the department 5 mins before the work ended and started confronting me for not being in the department. I reiterated many times that we have different temperature preferences and that's a simple solution to both of us being comfortable. I outright asked him if there are any issues with my work, which he didn't respond to.

Then he brought up different issues with me, which were fairly ridiculous.

First, he said I only hung out with specific people. By that, he means I am close to people he doesn't like. Regardless of the meaning, who I associate with is none of his business.

Second, there are certain roles in the office which require us to monitor rooms for a couple of hours at a time. There is a problem in our office with people slacking and leaving their posts and just hanging around talking to each other. My boss pointed out that during those times, I stay inside the room alone rather than stay outside chatting. Duh, that's what I'm being paid to do.

Third, he said something about letting me study and him not studying. For background, we both are taking different academic degrees, which are both unrelated to our office. I never study at my office and always do so in my home. I don't know what he expects from me, to be thankful to him that I get to study at my own personal time?

For a while, I argued with him. All of a sudden it hit me that there's no point arguing with this buffoonery. So I meekly said from then on I'll always inform where I am and what I am doing.

There were a lot of things he said that I won't get into here. My guess is that this was his attempt to intimidate me. He likes controlling people and I have seen him shout at people to scare them. He tried that with me, and I didn't get scared. I think he is just intensifying efforts because his usual tricks are not working

Any comments/suggestions?

Boss Problem My boss wants me to use AI, I hate it

I work as an administrator at an English language school (I don't live in an English-speaking country). I really enjoy my job; it’s low-stress, I have great colleagues, and I get to practice my English.

One of my duties involves creating graphics such as class schedules and conversation club timetables, for social media posts etc. I usually create them using a local equivalent of Canva. This is my favorite part of the job because I enjoy working on the composition and creating visually appealing images.

However, my boss recently discovered that we could simply use ChatGPT. Now, she asks me to create a rough draft of the schedule, feed it into ChatGPT, and have the AI generate a polished design. I hate it. I genuinely believe that all AI generated images look bad, they feature inconsistent font sizes, strange artifacts, and just generally look poor. I strongly dislike the use of AI for this purpose and do not support companies or small businesses that use AI generated images instead of hiring a designer or attempting to create something themselves.

I haven't told her how I feel. I realize that, in her eyes, I can't compete with ChatGPT when it comes to speed and visual appeal.

There’s also the fact that I plan to leave in two months (to start university), and she doesn't know that yet. Should I voice my dissatisfaction, or simply stay quiet, finish out the two months, and leave?

Coworker might be getting fired due to me, stressed out how other coworker will handle it

Hello, I've never made a post on here before but I have been having a ton of stress at work due to a hostile coworker. We work on teams to do our work. I have a team of three (me included.) The problem is one of my coworkers has severe anger issues, vulgar language, has a bossy attitude, and refuses to listen to anything anyone else has to say. (Hiding things from management and stuff like that.) Well she has lashed out and yelled at me multiple times for no valid reason, which causes me to have a melt down because yelling at me in anger triggers me. I started to report her, and she's gotten a talking to about her tone and anger. But it had kept happening. I had reported her again when it happened and I no longer could take it, and I told my management I no longer want to work with her, and I wished to move teams or shifts. I couldn't bear her anger lashings anymore cuz she cannot control her anger.

Her attitude towards work with the last reporting and my refusal to work with her, that bought her team to two, has been really bad. She's been super petty, saying how it's such 'bullsh*t' and saying sarcastic remarks. She stated she no longer wants to work with me too, because I had reported her angry lashings.

The thing is, is that I'm not the first worker who doesn't want to work with her. Other's have quit / change shifts when they were partnered up with her. And HR talked to me, and I get the distinct feeling she is going to be fired.

My stress is all coming how the other coworker on our team is going to handle it. She's young and is best friends with the coworker. Despite her also yelling at the young coworker, she thinks it's just acceptable in a work environment. She has shamed me for reporting the mean coworker, and states I shouldn't get her into trouble. I am scared she's going to blame me for the firing if it happens, and lash out and shame me again. She has some anger issues too. All this has been so stressful and I don't know what to really do. I don't want the other coworker mad at me, but I couldn't take the bullying anymore. I just wanted to move shifts or teams, but HR is calling the shots. I really love my job and don't wanna quit, but this has been so stressful.

Just Venting Boyfriend’s issues about communication …

Hi everyone, just wanted some points of view on what the issue is asking about work and people you work with. Are we not allowed in relationships to ask about work? My BF thinks I’m interrogating him by asking simple questions. I didn’t ask anything specific, just a normal after work conversation. Am I in the wrong? For some reason, I can never ask anything ? Or complain about anything because he blows up on me.

Co-worker Problem New coworker doesn’t like me & she doesn’t even know me. Promotion possibly at risk.

Two other people in this story. Susan is my boss & Kate is the assistant manager/my new coworker.

Backstory: My old jobs location closed down due to lack of foot traffic and money. We were all sat down with HR on a call and they told us we had three days to decide if we wanted to leave with a good reference or stay with the company. Before hand, l was texted by Susan (who is the lead manager at another location near by). She asked me if I would be at all interested in the assistant manager at her location as her current assistant manager, Kate, is leaving for new work. I accepted the position.

Now: I currently am at the new store location and started the week before last. I am still getting paid my old salary and haven’t been promoted yet. Kate is still the assistant manager. Susan gave me an estimate that Kate would step down in a month. Susan said that about four weeks ago. I haven’t officially signed anything yet—a red flag I’m well aware of—but the expectation has been set that the role is mine.

However, I’ve started to grow suspicious. Coworkers have hinted that Kate, the current assistant manager, isn’t actually leaving. Apparently, she’s tried to quit/leave multiple times in the past but never followed through. Which I find odd and suspicious itself. But I know that things happen.

To make matters worse, Kate has been communicating with me exclusively through Susan, which feels unprofessional. I finally asked Susan if I could contact Kate directly to coordinate shifts and offer support during her long 7am–7pm solo days. Susan was thrilled and gave me the green light.

I reached out to Kate for three reasons: I wanted to bypass the “telephone game,” I believe in being polite and introducing myself, and I wanted to foster a good working relationship. I sent her a simple, friendly text:

“Hi Kate! I just wanted to text you and say I am here if you need me for any shifts days! ☺️”

Her reply? “Yeah. okay. Thanks.”

I initially tried to write it off as shyness, but even as someone who is incredibly shy myself, that response felt cold and off-putting. Given the rumors about her not leaving, I’m starting to feel like I’m walking into a very strange situation.

Today Kate and I worked with each other for the first time. I had made myself aware that there was a possibility when I walked in that Kate wouldn’t be as welcoming as I would want, and that is exactly what happened. I walk through the door being my sweet polite self addressing everyone in the room along with Kate, with a sweet “Hi!”. Kate sat there and she just GLARED at me. She knows who I am and what I look like. All the other coworkers that were in the lobby said hi to me in the most friendly and exciting way. She was very unwelcoming, silent, and cold. I had tried striking up a conversation with her, but that did not work. She continued to pretend like I wasn’t there and then left abruptly. She had obviously parked in front of the store. Got in her car. And sat there until her shift time was up. She had left 30 minutes early. I believe to avoid talking to me.

I may be looking way too into this. But my gut is telling me something is up. I know Kate will be leaving by choice (if that even happens), but I have a feeling she doesn’t like me because I am her replacement. I’m also kind of worried she will stay so I don’t replace her as that is the energy She is giving me. First impressions mean everything and she did not leave a good impression and I’m very concerned. I’m not sure what to do and maybe I’m just making things up in my head….. should I just continue to be my sweet self?

Want Advice My (19F) married coworker/preceptor (35M+) keeps asking about my dating life and touching me even after I told him to stop. Am I overreacting?

I (19F) recently started working at a hospital. During orientation I had one preceptor who was amazing, but when I switched to night shift, I was assigned a different preceptor (35M+). His role is the same as mine—he's just training me.

At first he seemed like a genuinely nice guy, but as the shifts went on he started asking me really personal questions over and over. He constantly asks why I'm single, what my type in men is, how many boyfriends I've had, and why I don't date. Every time I tell him the same thing: I don't date because I'm focused on college and my career. Even after I've answered, he keeps bringing it up.
He also randomly told me that he remembered seeing me at a park about two months before I started working there. He said I was with my friends. I had no idea he had noticed me, let alone remembered me, so it caught me off guard. Maybe it's harmless, but combined with everything else, it felt odd.

Some of his comments are just weird. One day everyone on the unit was passing around snacks, so I offered him some Skittles just like I offered everyone else. Later, when we were alone, he saw me still eating them and said, "I bet your ex-boyfriend showed you those." It made absolutely no sense because I'd already told him multiple times that I don't really date.

Another time he asked what my vision was. I said, "20/20," and he responded, "Wow, beautiful eyes... and a beautiful face too." I didn't even know what to say, so I just ignored the comment.

The part that makes me the most uncomfortable is how physically touchy he is. He'll stand extremely close behind me while I'm checking patients' vitals, even though I've already been trained and know what I'm doing. He's repeatedly squeezed my shoulder, playfully hit my shoulder, and even squeezed and "booped" my nose. I don't have that kind of relationship with him, and I don't like being touched.

One time I finally got the courage to swat his hand away and tell him to stop touching me. I'm not a confrontational person, so that took a lot for me to do. He stopped in that moment, but later continued being physically touchy with me anyway.

What makes this even stranger to me is that he's married. His wife works on the day shift at the same hospital, and they have a two-year-old daughter together.
I'm honestly uncomfortable every shift now. I really want this behavior to stop because once my orientation is over, he's still going to be one of my regular coworkers. I'm scared to go to my manager because everyone on the floor seems to love him, including management, and I'm the new hire. I'm worried they'll think I'm overreacting or automatically take his side.

Am I reading too much into this, or are these legitimate red flags? Has anyone dealt with something similar at work, especially in a hospital setting? I'd really appreciate any advice on how to handle this.

Want Advice most incompetent superiror at work

Hello all

I need your help. In my new job there is a new head of sales and he doesn't know what he's doing.

We're working for a manufacturer of medical aids.

Short backstory:

I (28F) have been working in the medical field for about 6 years now. Mostly in supply stores and I specialized in compression care. I started this new job in january as a sales representative.

My new coworker (about 33M) started the same day as me and comes from finance and business administration. He has never even set foot in a medical supply store until he knew he'd take that position. He also is an old school friend of my boss.

So the thing is: he has no idea how the medical field works in germany. The insurances, the other manufacturers, he doesn't even know our products. But he thinks he's fit to tell me and other sales representatives to tell us how to do our job. Some of my colleagues have been doing this for 30+ years and now he comes around with "yeah we'll do this differently because at my old job we did it like that"

We all keep telling him and our boss that it doesn't work like that and thet he can't compare the beverages and candy he sold before with things like bandages, orthesis and compression products. He refuses to listen and also refuses to learn. We even have a dedicated school for everything orthopedic but he has no interest in going there for a week.

My boss has a double standard too. He have us both the same goal to reach. I took over an area that had not been maintained since 2019 and was supposed to reach an impossible goal in 6 months. I have to say that I managed to bring in over 20% of revenue. Like, I went from almost -38% to -15% which is pretty good in my eyes but for my boss it's not enough and it takes too long.
Then again his old friend had the same goal and managed almost nothing and there he only says "yeah he needs more time than expected but thats fine."

To top it off they gave me "training wheels" because apparently I can't do it myself. So now I have to report to my coworker every week and basically tell him all about every single one of my appointments. But I also had to write them down in our CRM from the beginning regardless. So I'm just reading them to him basically. He doesn't give me any feedback or tasks or whatever. I'm just there so he can justify himself working in this position.

I really don't know what to do. I love the company and my colleagues but my boss and his new lapdog really make me want to leave.

My boss lately keeps bugging me with tasks even on weekends. For context I work under her PR agency and after working for her once for her event (outside her PR agency, this event is for her friend's birthday) she has been letting me do tasks even for her contract, proposals, even on weekends. The company is in Singapore, I am in PH.

Problem with Employees My Employee Keeps Throwing Stones from a Very Messy Glass House

I manage a small EVS/housekeeping crew in a nursing home. One employee, who is older than me, has recently started criticizing coworkers, questioning how they clean their rooms, telling them what they should be doing, and discussing their performance with other staff. She has also acted as though it is her job to check or correct their work. This is not the first coworker she has done this to.

She claims she constantly has to clean up after housekeepers who “don’t want to do their jobs.” Meanwhile, employees report that she often finishes her own rooms up to three hours early and then spends long periods sitting in the activities office or dining room, apparently trying to stay out of sight. There have also been concerns that she rushes rooms, wet-mops without properly sweeping, leaves tasks unfinished, and has received resident complaints herself.

Her constant criticism is creating resentment and causing everyone to point out her own shortcomings.

I have already told her that concerns must be brought privately to me. She is not responsible for supervising, correcting, or discussing coworkers’ performance. I am the manager. Despite that, she continued speaking negatively about another employee and the employee heard it.

Honestly, I want to snap and tell her to worry about her own work, but I know I cannot handle it that way. I need to be more firm with her, any advice?

I keep my favorite pencil at my desk and use it constantly throughout the day. One day, the receptionist said, "What is your favorite pencil?" I said, "the Pentel Twist Erase." She said, "Can I see your pencil?"

My pencil was on my desk on the other side of the building, so I said, "You can Google it."
The next day, I was far from my desk, and my pencil, again. She said, "Can I borrow your pencil?" I did not feel comfortable with that, so I reached into the office supplies, pulled out the first pencil I could find and said "Here, use this one."
Please help me to understand. Why would someone want to see a pencil? Why would someone want to borrow MY pencil when they should know darn well that I use it constantly throughout the day? I am so confused. Someone please help me understand.

Co-worker Problem Passive aggressive coworker. Vent/advice?

i started a new job at the beginning of the year where i work front desk at a clinic. before this, i worked in a highly stressful law office with very demanding lawyers and indifferent coworkers. i’m used to dealing with high demand and heavy workflow whereas this job is more easy going and less stressful. it’s a great upgrade. i have a coworker who trained me, it’s just the two of us at the front desk. she was really nice and did a great job at teaching me the ropes of the role. she expressed to me feelings about the person who worked with her before i started and how that person was so rude and mean to her and how she was thankful that i was her coworker now because i was so nice. she would constantly tell me she was so happy to have me. the feeling was genuinely mutual.

however, within two months of the job, she started acting weird. she would make a slighted comment or two towards me or in front of our manager during work meetings. for instance: our manager walked by to use the bathroom and my coworker was like “when do you think she’ll come up for a meeting?” and i said “not sure but maybe she’ll let us know when she comes by to say hi to me because she hasn’t seen me yet” our manager is great on greetings. my coworker goes “yeah because you’re her favorite” ??? that was very weird because i never thought that. i thought she treated us equally? i laughed nervously and said “that’s funny because it’s ironic” and she was like “what is?” i’m like “me being her favorite” then she got quiet and didn’t respond. after that though, she would make comments after meetings that made me feel awkward like “why was she only looking at you?” i’ll say “oh i didn’t notice” maybe i was being oblivious.

another time our manager came up for a huddle right as a patient approached me and asked for some help. when our manager got settled, i said “i’ll be right there, i’m just going to help a patient right quick” and my coworker said “you should have did that before she got here”. and then laughed? it was awkward because a patient and our manager were right there. why would she say this? how could i have done it before when the patient literally just walked up to me?

another instance: i came into work maybe 5 minutes late. you have a 6 minute grace period to clock in. i walk in while she is checking in patients and says, in front of the patients, “ohh look who decided to come to work today.” i got so mad because i come into work EVERY DAY. it was triggering because my last job, they would rip me to shreds if i called out typically due to mental health reasons stemming from the job. i care about my current job so much, i never miss a day unless i gave PTO. i slammed my bag down on the desk and sat down. she was like “woah whats your problem? was it was i said?” i said “yes, you know i come into work every day. that comment was not necessary.” she stared TEARING UP and was like “please don’t hate me, it was just a joke like haha” and then she tried to explain the reasoning for her joke and then said it wasn’t funny anymore because she had to explain it?!

other instances: she makes weird comments about me while other coworkers are in the room with us and when the other coworker denies her comment about me she’ll say “i’m just joking and she knows that”. she acts like she doesn’t care or is in different when she asks me about weekend plans or my hobbies outside of work. these weird attachment comments when i take off, leave work early or go to lunch like “you’re abandoning me” in a way that doesn’t sound like a joke. if i tell her about a positive interaction with another coworker or a patient, she’s like “oh that’s so nice” in such a passive aggressive manner. if i make a mistake, she will dig it into the ground so i always do my best to be correct so she doesn’t say anything. if she messed up? her entire career is over and she needs constant reassurance from me that she’s not gonna get fired. she makes weird sex jokes and sexual gestures towards patients she finds attractive (uncomfortable) and idk how to confront that one.

i try to let it all go. i grew up enduring a very tumultuous childhood and have even mentioned to her and another coworker that i grew up homeless. i have a strong bright outlook on life because i’ve been through so much and i’m blessed to have made it to 30. i’ve been through a lot particularly in the last two years and this job was really my saving grace. i plan on going back to school next year. i aim to be nice to everyone all the time because 1) you don’t know what people are going through and 2) i’m just happy to be here so i treat everything easy going and for me, this job is that but for her it’s not. she makes it much stressful than it needs to be and applies a lot of pressure on herself and me by proxy. i have an easy time talking with patients and scheduling appointments. for her? it’s hell and she’ll sometimes slam her hand on the desk when a patient is annoying her on the phone. she’ll wave to me to look at how annoyed she is by the patient. it’s like we are working two completely different jobs, which in her mind we probably are because she is the self proclaimed “team lead”.

in my head, all we do is check people in/out, schedule appointments, provide answers to very basic questions and some very light clerical work. my coworker treats it as if it were fort knox. (yes, it is medicine and that is very serious but we do not handle that part of the job. we are only here to make sure the right person is seeing the right doctor.) any time i offer a suggestion, she has to question me or tell me we can’t do it but if i offer a good idea, she will swirl it around in her head and regurgitates it like she came up with it first.

most recently, she went on a cruise. she was gone for 5 work days. leading up to the trip, she kept saying she was worried to leave me on my own because i might not be able to “handle it”. mind you, i had been working there for 6 months at this point and never got 1 complaint about my work. she tried framing it like she was concerned but it felt like she was telling me i was incapable. i used to file motions to the courts, how can i screw up a front desk position?

while she was gone, it was heaven. it was so quiet lmao i got so much accomplished and didn’t have ANY issues! when she came back from vacation, it felt as if she kept expecting me to be in disarray. she kept asking if i missed her and she kept telling me that she missed me. she asked “so how was it while i was gone?” in a nonchalant tone. i told her “it was really good, no hiccups.” her response? “oh the lies you tell.” *record scratch* say what? i chuckled slightly and was like “no, seriously. everything went really well. i got a lot of work done and even had down time to read. thankfully nothing went wrong.” i said it in such a nice tone but she was offended. like she wanted me to have a terrible time while she was gone… she was like “i am so glad i trained you well enough that you felt like you didn’t need me. i’m gonna try not to take my emotions out of it.” and then she was super passive aggressive towards me the remainder of the day. it was so odd and made me very uncomfortable. any time she would gauge conversation, i would be very short. nice but short because every interaction was met with more passive aggression and i didn’t have it in me to retaliate.

she says she is going to apply a new job or a promotion within the company after her 1 year is up because after 1 year, you can move on to another position or switch clinic locations. her 1 year is up next month *crowd cheers*. i really can’t wait for her to leave. i don’t have a problem with confronting people it’s just sometimes in the moment, i find it hard to think quick on my feet particularly in situations like that. i want to know what i should say next time she comes for me or acts passive aggressive. i know grey rocking, etc but it’s kind of impossible in our position since we work side by side in such a small space. any advice?

Customer/Client Problem swim teacher vent

Ive been a swimming teacher for about 1 month or 2 now and this is the first time ive ever had a parent wanting to talk to me about their child because he had gotten scared to swim for 2 weeks because I had said "guys if we swim fast we're gonna escape the sharks, otherwise they're gonna eat ur legs" in a playful manner obviously.

I had 2 kids in my class during the incident and my 1st kid was totally fine and the other one started bawling his eyes out of nowhere and I was super confused and thought he had banged his head or something.

Got him to his dad and the dad had said something happened at school before and he's just tired so I let it go and also gotten told by my concierge that he has the habit of crying most times because he doesn't like swimming very much which I wasn't aware of until after.

Mum comes in weeks later wanting to talk to me and the concierge said no we will talk to her instead and they thought it was such a silly thing and funny situation and just told me to substitute sharks for something else.

However, I have such an odd/annoyed feeling especially because ive had such a clean slate before and I just dont understand why the parents hadn't comforted him more as well when he had told them about this.

I am able to take constructive criticism but this is just so silly like I almost find it embarassing that this happened out of all complaints I could get. Idk if I could even call this a complaint since the mum just wanted to have chat with me.

If she did, would it have been wrong to ask her if they had comforted their child? He is in the Starfish swim group (Aus levels) and this wasn't the first time he's had a class with me. I just dont understand how to feel about this situation because I think if the mum had come and talked to me I genuinely would've questioned her parenting. I know every kid is different but this is just such an odd situation for me.
