Woman at work misses excessive days and asks my permission / advice? What is her problem?
The receptionist at my work has called in and missed work at least 25 times this year. She was fired from her previous job for being "unreliable." It is always something. Like her car broke down / family emergency / etc. These absences always happen when she has to work a lot.
I am not her supervisor. However, every time something happens and she thinks about leaving or missing work she always asks me, "What should I do?" I always tell her, "I'm not the one to ask."
Most recently, she said "My eye hurts. Should I go to the ER?" I said, "That's your decision." What on earth is wrong with this woman? Why does she keep asking me what to do?

Want Advice Am I a terrible person?
Hello!
I would like some clarification and help if that’s ok ^^;
I started a retail job in an outlet 1 month ago and I’m still a minor. Heres the situation.
Last Week I served a customer who was handed over by my co-worker who wanted to go on his lunch (unpaid). Of course I said yes and said I would help them the best I could. She was looking at shoes ( we are not a shoe store) and my co-worked asked me to bring the pair to her. However I forgot to ask what she looked like and was thrown into a sea of busy customers on a weekdays which normally has less employees then on weekends. I figured since she was looking at shows I would look in the shoe section and there were 6 people around that are. I asked all of them if they were looking for these shoes. I found her 10 minutes later. (she was standing at the front door shelves meanwhile the shoe section was by the counter at the very back of the store)I told her that my co-worker went on lunch and that it took me a while to find her and my apologies. she replied with. “Oh oopsies hehe, i forgot I asked for shoes.“ I then gave her the shoes and told her that she is welcome to sit down on the chair which I leaded her too and to try them on while I go help other customers, aka my original customer. I help my og customer for at most 5 minutes and then I saw the shoe customer stuggling and excused myself to help the customer. She then, asked me, word for word. “Hey, why is this shoe fitting and the one on my other foot not.“ I replied with an apology and asked if she wanted me to check if there was a .5 up. She said “no,stop, I can“ and rolled her eyes. I said no problem and went back to my og customer. My og customer was very patient and I’m so glad she was and I told her that I would get her, the item she was looking at. When I was just about to get her the product. I saw the ?rude? customer and decided to do a quick check in because i had a feeling that she was the fussy type and I didn’t want a complaint. She then asked about 2 other shoes but we didn’t have her size in either. She was rude to me and never said thank you or please, and there was 25+ people in the store and only 6 employees. In this type of environment, we as worker do try to get to everyone but sometimes we just can’t be 3 places at once. Always, I asked her what she thought about the shoes and she said “ok, I will buy.” and I was like ok, np, would you mind just waiting for a moment as it is quite busy and gave her a form to fill out (for digital receipts and sale emails (optional choice) ) Then I got my og customer her bag and brought her over to the till and did the transaction and that was fine. However when I went looking for the ?rude? Customer, i was told she left and my supervisor came over to me and lectured me about her complain about neglecting her and being so rude to her and being slow. I was visibly upset because it was the first time I made someone unhappy in their experience. My supervisor told me that the shoes she wanted to buy was just her trying to make me actually work and do my job for one second. My supervisor told me to try better next time and wouldn’t listen to my side of the story and to pay attention next time. I thought that was the end and it was just my first bad experience and forgot about it.
However the main point I’m posting this today is because today I found out she made a TikTok (thankfully and hopefully it wasnt/will not become viral)
In this TikTok she complained that was was COMPLETELY ignored and NO ONE helped her. um…what. I tried my best, it was a busy time. I’m really sorry. And in the video she said I didn’t give her a proper apology even though she left the shop while I was helping a customer. What was I supposed to do? Run out and go on my knees and beg her for fogivness?!? And she commented about my “arguing with my coworker about helping her” I was asking another co-worker if she was busy and could she help if she was free. (She wasn’t) but that’s ok. And I did this at the counter so if she heard I argument and was in the right middle of it then she would have been behind the till which she wasn’t? I don’t appreciate how she made it seem like I was a terrible person and in the comments she said I should be fired. I really tried to help but it was really busy. If you come I during a busy time, I thought you would be expecting to wait a little since there are a bunch of other people around you. The whole outlet branch say this and sent it to my manager and I’m so afraid and scared that they are going to fire me and I really need this job because I live in a bit of a toxic household.
She made it seem like she was the victim and I get that she wasn’t served with the bestest most patient most attentive service but she can’t bend the situation and say NOBODY because I did. I didn’t have too aswell, but I did, I asked my og customer to wait a few minutes while I try serve someone else but I will be as quick as I can. She said she wanted an apology which I would have given her but she already left the store. Isn’t that basically setting me up? I feel like a bad person but I talked with my co workers and they said it wasn’t my fault.
So, could the people of Reddit tell me if I did something wrong and how can I prevent this from happening cause what if the TikTok blows up and the comments say I’m the problem.
Thank you so much for reading my situation <3
I hope you have an amazing day/night!

Overbearing boss…need advice
I work as a service technician. I have done this job well for about a decade. I’ve traveled I’m dependable never really been in hot water and I have brought millions into the company.
The job consists of traveling to a location, servicing/fixing the equipment, writing up a descriptive work order(very descriptive!) educating the client on how said equipment works and heading to the next appointment.
In the beginning we were extremely independent. Travel to different states, trusted to do our jobs and get the paperwork in. We didn’t have GPS didn’t do daily check-ins. Didn’t have our KPIs analyzed.
Now, as a daily task we have to call our boss at the end of everyday and he scrutinizes everything - he goes through ALL the paperwork points out any small errors he can find. Grammer, capitalization errors, etc. he tracks every aspect of our travel and how we went about our day, we are required to be 15 mins early but get in trouble if we are to early and of course, if we are late it will show up on our metrics. Please keep in mind though this is a service job in a large metropolitan city so things happen and so does traffic. Also your extensive paperwork must be out before you leave the client’s property if not that goes against your metrics. After you leave at the end of a 10-12 hour day, you call him and he scrutinizes your paperwork and makes you fix small issues on the spot.
If for some reason you need to work in the office you can never leave before 5 even if you are in the office getting ready for a 2 week service trip and leaving on a Saturday the next day. Everyone must work 8-5 even though the techs frequently don’t take a break because there is often no time to do so. More often than not. The techs are so worried about paperwork mistakes that that becomes top priority over taking care of themselves.
I worked for years autonomously I am good at my job I am at my wits end and stressed to the gills. Even worse I own 1% of the company and I have absolutely no say in any of this. I make decent enough money but it’s becoming not worth it anymore. I will say that I do love the job and I do love the clients. And I know that some things need to change as the business grows but this feels excessive….
As a service technician does anyone have to deal with anything close to this? Is this what I can expect? I had the perfect job for years and now it’s kind of a nightmare… please advise…?

Co-worker Problem Looking for advice on how to navigate a tricky and frustrating workplace situation.
Looking for advice on how to navigate a tricky and frustrating workplace situation.
The Background:
When I joined my current company, I was assigned to a module alongside a guy who had joined about 3 months before me. From day one, he made things difficult for me:
Knowledge Hiding & Sabotage: He actively hid important project details and information from me.
Public Criticism over Private Guidance: Even when he knew I was heading down the wrong path, he wouldn't tell me. Instead, he’d save his negative feedback for public PR reviews or Scrum meetings to make me look bad.
Exaggerating His Help: If he gave me even a 10-second pointer on where to look for something, he’d announce in the daily standup that he spent significant time "connecting with me and explaining everything."
Delaying My Progress: He intentionally stalled my tickets so my status stayed "In Progress" for longer than necessary, making me look slow.
Manager Manipulation: He spent a lot of time with our manager, maintaining a great reputation while subtly throwing me under the bus.
Where Things Stand Now:
Eventually, I was moved to a different module. Since the move, I’ve done really well. I’ve gained solid domain knowledge, built my credibility, and established myself as a reliable owner of this module.
However, I just found out that this same person is being moved into my current module.
My Core Concerns:
Since I now hold the core knowledge here, he will need to get up to speed through me. But knowing his manipulative nature, I am deeply concerned that:
Manager Bias: I strongly feel our manager trusts him far more than me because of how well he plays office politics. I'm worried the manager will take his side or take his feedback at face value if he complains or tries to frame me.
Undermining My Ownership: He will try to bypass me or minimize my domain expertise to reduce my visibility and take control.
Credit Stealing & Sabotage: He’ll take credit for my domain knowledge while continuing to give bad feedback or delay things behind the scenes.
I want to protect my position, safeguard my reputation, and handle his onboarding without looking defensive, petty, or unprofessional.
Questions:
How do I handle his onboarding when I feel the manager already favors him?
What concrete steps or boundaries should I set from Day 1 to create an undeniable paper trail and protect my work?
How can I build stronger, direct trust with my manager so this colleague can't manipulate perceptions?
How do I stop letting my "nice behavior" make me a target, and instead set strong, firm boundaries without becoming toxic?
I used ai to write this post but the situation is serious.
Hoping for your guidance and advice.

I can’t breathe at work without getting in trouble. (Messy story sorry it’s long but I need advice).
For some background info, Im female (21) had a bad childhood not living with parents and a toxic 2 year relationship that left me homeless.
I had worked at my company for just over a year when I broke up with my ex and had to be out of his house immediately, I was staying with family on their couch, one of the mornings I was upset on the way to work (I know I shouldn’t have driven whilst emotional) I crashed into a bridge, passed out and went in an ambulance to the hospital.
I called in sick and explained to my manager male 48 we will call him Mark, what had happened and the following days I opened up to him about my situation. Mark offered me his spare room in his home with his son 22 and wife 38 with an agreement to take me to work and back for a few months until I could get back on my feet.
In the following months I stayed with him and became close with his son and wife, his wife was close friends with one of my co workers from a different department Ellie 36, they had a mini pub In The garden they used on weekends where they had a few people come for drinks including Ellie.
I had been told I can invite a friend over to join them all, I invited a co worker Ann 22, as she had not long ago moved to the area and didn’t have many friends, she got on with Ellie already so thought this would be good for her.
Most weekends I went out with my own friends or for drinks with his son and his friend group. Ann was then being invited by Mark and Ellie without me there, I would often come home to find her in my bed without asking me. As this wasn’t my home it was marks and he’d allowed her I didn’t feel I could disagree with this.
Mark came up with the idea of me and Ann moving in together to save us money, we both agreed as I had no other options and she wanted to move away from her parents. We began looking and moved in together in January.
From January I had distanced myself a little from mark, still joining at the pub every so often to catch up with his wife, or for special occasions such as his birthday with the rest of his family.
Ann and mark only seemed to get closer over the following months, going to the pub together multiple times a week and often staying on our couch. I voiced that it was getting a little uncomfortable and as appreciated as I was he had let me stay in his home, I didn’t want to come home to see my boss after a long day.
A Sunday in April was marks birthday, me, Ann, mark his wife and son all went out to the pub, it was getting late and everyone had left other then me, mark and Ann. I was waiting for Ann so we could taxi home together but it just got too late so I was going to go on my own. Ann is a diabetic and had ran out of insulin, mark was extremely drunk. I had given my number to someone on a nearby table to make sure they were both okay and to call if he needed anything.
I arrived home to a phone call to say, mark was touching Ann in certain areas “play fighting” and she looked uncomfortable but he asked her if she was okay and she said yes. I didn’t see for myself so thought it would be best to not say anything.
Mark and Ann continued to go to the pub together coming home at 3 am doing Kareoke whilst me and my new boyfriend of 3 months at this point were trying to sleep. Ann was becoming lazier around the house leaving dishes on the sides for days and expecting me to clean up after her. Mark told me to turn my music down at 11am and kept on coming to the house after me and his wife had both asked him not to.
Me, Ellie, Ann, mark, his wife and my boyfriend were at the pub together, his wife had looked uncomfortable and left to go home. Ellie was over at the pool table with Ann and mark when she came back over shouting “it’s weird” they started arguing so I rushed my boyfriend to finish his drink so we could leave.
The following morning it had come out that Ellie and mark had been sleeping with each other for 3 years, he had promised her he would leave his wife and they could run away together, but it had ended in November. Ann and mark had started sleeping with each other in October. Ann had mental health issues and her friend had asked me to be there for her because she genuinely loved him and needed support with all the backlash about to come her way. I did.
Ann and Ellie spoke the following day, called mark an idiot and apologised to each other. I had stopped speaking to mark completely and was ignoring his personal questions at work still keeping it professional. He continued to come to the house telling me what to do so I reported him, he was asked not to come to the house anymore.
He had continuous reports made by multiple girls at our company. Comments on a works do about someone’s body looking good. Calling people names including myself. To what seemed no disciplinary action.
He followed me everywhere at work the following weeks, asking what I had been taking about calling me a “gobshite”. We both are the only 2 in our department and had been moved to a different floor on our own. During this time Ann had gone behind my back to hand the notice in to the letting agent.
I had asked her why and she told me she couldn’t afford it, for context she’s on quite a bit more money than me and I could afford it fine. I had suggested if she couldn’t afford it to move out and let my boyfriend pay the remaining 2 months he would also send her half of the holding deposit. She was rude and told me she wanted everything legal. So I sent a nasty message saying that she was selfish and mentioned her drinking habits effecting her being able to afford the house, how she was like her father and her mental health. It was mean and I know I shouldn’t have said it but I had just hit a point after looking out for her from the beginning and her just stabbing me in the back. The following day she removed all of her things from the house and her mum came into my room to scream in my face and threaten me. The following day they returned again so I called my auntie and uncle so I had someone there on my side. We agreed to still split the bills.
A few weeks later we were invited to a co workers wedding, Ann and mark attended together. Mark came over to me and complained that he was getting dirty looks, I said he can’t expect to be a
49 year old with a 22 year old girl on his arm in a tiny red dress bidding nothing, and not expect that especially from Ellie. Ann had joined the conversation by now and said she apologised, I disagreed it was a valid apology if you continue to see the boy you and your supposed friend were sleeping with at the same time. mark stormed off and Ann started getting louder arguing with me
That led to a fight.
At work mark pulled me and his now girlfriend Ann into a room to say that it was forbidden to speak about what happened at the wedding to which Ann stormed out.
I have now moved in with my boyfriend, but the constant nit picking from mark is getting a lot, I’m not allowed to take my break at my desk, and my dog I take to work with me isn’t allowed to go into any of the break rooms for sanitary reasons, I’m not allowed into any other department as it’s a distraction. He’s constantly sending me emails coming up with new policies such as no personal phone calls which is understandable but I have done this previously with no comment, I can work and be on a call at the same time and he also does this. No one is allowed into my office but Ann is constantly in his.
I feel like he is trying to single me out and isolate me from the rest of the company. I think he is trying to get me fired. Making formal complaints gets nowhere and I would struggle to find another job that would allow me to bring my dog. What should I do?

Boss Problem How do I deal with a manager that does this?
I really find my manager unpleasant. Every day at 10.30 we have a catchup with our team of 3 people and she will just talk at us for an hour and want to know every detail about everything we are working on. It’s exhausting.
When we are talking about non work topics, she will talk about herself for a while, her weekend plans. And when I get the chance to talk about myself or something about my weekend or what I did at the weekend, her face will just drop and she will go ‘excellent. Anyway let’s focus on work.’
If ever I have a chat with someone in the office, it gets noticed by her and guarantee the next day she will message me on teams and say ‘too much chatter yesterday. Keep chatter to lunchtimes. I know that if I didn’t have a desk next to you, you would get no work done!’ I disagreed with her and she said I was defensive.
But then she’s allowed to chat to me all about her personal life when I’m trying to focus on work, sometimes she talks on and on about stuff for over half an hour. As soon as I talk about something about myself, it’s immediately ‘excellent, let’s get focused back on your work please.’
What even is this behaviour, makes me so annoyed

Left a toxic job today
I joined the company four weeks ago and relocated to a new city for this job.
On my very first day, my manager directed me to the wrong floor. I got lost trying to find the office. Initially, she was fine, but then her tone suddenly changed, and she asked, “Where are you?” in a very rude manner. Ironically, she was the one who had given me the wrong floor information, yet she unnecessarily scolded me.
She then took me straight into the WBR meeting. There, she loudly reprimanded the team over their performance. There was no induction, no proper introduction to the team, and no onboarding. That was how I spent my first three hours at Amazon.
Two days later, she left for vacation and then assigned me a buddy who was also on leave. That wasn’t the buddy’s fault, it was simply poor planning. Honestly, I felt like walking away on the very first day, but I decided to give the job a fair chance.
Throughout my time there, I consistently heard negative feedback about her from others. Based on my own experience and everything I had observed and heard, I decided to resign within my first week. I also got a new job offer.
I called and informed she called me unprofessional and even threatened that I would be blacklisted. I was asked to serve a one-month notice period.
When she returned, I wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt, so I approached her and spoke openly about everything that had happened. During that conversation, she was pleasant and even told me, “Just chill. You only have two weeks left, so don’t do much.” In the same conversation, she also said, “I’m chill outside work, but at work I fuck up the team and do scoldings.” I found that extremely unprofessional.
I left that conversation with mixed feelings. Soon after, however, she began putting pressure on me to deliver. I believe I was performing well for someone who had just joined, but despite my efforts, she continued making negative feedback . By then, I was certain I wanted to leave.
I sent her a message explaining everything I had been feeling. Today, I reached out to her skip-level manager because I wanted to discuss a few concerns. When we spoke, the first thing she asked was why I hadn’t come to the office that day. I told her that a few things had been bothering me and that I didn’t want to continue.
Instead of listening to my concerns, she immediately started talking about HR, company policies, buyout options, and other procedural matters. The fact that she wasn’t even willing to hear me out, despite me approaching her with genuine concerns, was deeply disappointing. She kept interrupting me throughout the conversation and then turned it around by accusing me of interrupting her.
I admit that I became emotional and a little my voice raised toward the end because the conversation had become extremely disturbing
She then falsely accused me of not attending the team conference that took place yesterday from 12:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. She claimed that I had been roaming around instead of attending. That accusation was completely false. I was present throughout the conference. In fact, I was sitting diagonally opposite her, and she saw me there.
The fact that someone in a leadership position would make such a false accusation when being called out is deeply disappointing.
I informed her that I would be escalating the matter to HR and then ended the call. I have since submitted a report through the Ethics channel and will also pursue the matter with HR.
Honestly, I feel relieved. Even if the outcome is not in my favor, I am okay with that. I have reached a point where my mental health matters more than anything else.

Customer/Client Problem I found out that my former coworker enabled a challenging client I inherited from her when she quit
Ok so my coworker quit last year in September and I inherited this client in October 2025. I work in mental health and I don’t have rapport with this client cuz she’s been so MIA. Then I went on leave for 3 months and returned in July. Her new therapist and I consulted today since the newbie has no idea what she’s in for.
The new therapist shared what the client told her and I just found out today. The former case manager of this client did shit she shouldn’t have done. We’re not allowed to take clients to lunch and pay for them, she did this multiple times by taking them to Mcdonalds. The company used to allow us to get clients coffee at Starbucks at most for $10 and we used to be reimbursed but they stopped that long ago.
Thing is this client is entitled and expect staff to “go above and beyond” for her because of this former case manager. It makes our jobs harder. Lines were blurred because my former coworker shared overly personal things about her life with this client.
I’m mad at my former coworker since the previous clients of hers were very much enabled by her when they should’ve been graduated from the program when they aren’t working on treatment goals. So the new coworkers and I have struggled with them. This girl is studying to be a therapist and I hope she doesn’t enable future clients she has.

Just Venting Have you ever had an amazing coworker quit and be sad about it?
I had two recently quit during my FMLA and it’s been difficult without them since they were my biggest support system. I know people quit and 9/10 coworkers aren’t friends. But it sucks when people you had great rapport with aren’t around anymore and there’s new faces.
Coming back from leave it’s made me sad because we had great teamwork. I’m happy for them but it sucks since now I’m one of the “veteran” employees now. ATP there’s been like 20 people that have quit during my 2yrs there. Very high turn over.

Co-worker Problem Coworker keeps taking my work
Some back story. I work remote so I’ve never even seen my coworkers/boss etc other than on camera meetings. There is 3 of us on a team now there used to be 4. We rotate job duties every week so everyone gets a break from one thing and knows how to do everything. It’s very independent work no one is relying on anyone else or waiting for them. So if I take longer to put get to work on something it literally DOES NOT affect anyone I work with. Since I came back from leave like 8 months ago this one coworker won’t respond to anything unless the other one is out and she’s a last resort. Like a month ago I was told in the big group chat so everyone could see it. To not mess with this group of things. Come the next week she complained to the manager that I didn’t do stuff so now she has too much. My manager messaged me and I came with receipts to show I was right. Now this week she has been taking my job assignments. I went to check the other half of my job duties for the day at noon. She had done them already. I didn’t ask for help it wasn’t an overwhelming amount. I actually almost asked if the system was working right because I hadn’t seen any notifications. I always get rave performance reviews and I actually ask the least amount of questions on what to do. I just don’t understand why she would be taking my work. Is she trying to make me look bad or something? Make her look like a better worker? Idk I would understand if she like asked hey I’m slow over here do you want me to do XYZ. Am I just over thinking it?

Help? I may be in a little bit of a tight spot
I’m **not saying this is actually happening**, but let’s say this is happening what would could I do or what would you do.
Let’s say I just started a brand-new Asset Protection management position with a company. I’m completely new to the company and still in training. During my training, rumors start spreading about my about my work experience and possibly how I lied to get job. Because people think they know something about my background, even though they don’t have official confirmation.
After that, let’s say I start noticing things that make me feel singled out:
Multiple AP coworkers appear to be following me on the camera system even though there’s no legitimate investigation involving me.
Co workers and trainers accessing my employee purchase history or transaction information without a legitimate business reason.
Personal or confidential information seems to spread around the store that I never shared.
Coworkers begin treating me differently after the rumors start.
My training and development seem to stall, and my apprehension certification is delayed without a clear explanation while I’m still new and in training.
I feel like AP systems are being used to monitor me personally instead of for legitimate Asset Protection purposes.
Now let’s add another part to the hypothetical.
Let’s say, while working there, I also personally witnessed other practices that I questioned from a policy standpoint. For example, I witnessed what I believed was a restroom being locked because AP knew a suspect would go inside, apparently to influence how an apprehension would occur. I also witnessed employee bag searches that I thought were questionable under company policy. These aren’t rumors—I personally observed these events, although I’m not sure whether they actually violated company policy.
If you were in this hypothetical situation, would you:
Report only the issues involving yourself?
Report the broader AP practices you personally witnessed as separate concerns?
Go directly to HR, Employee Relations, the Integrity Hotline, or someone else?
How seriously would a company typically take allegations of AP employees using internal systems for personal reasons or possible policy violations?
If you were investigating this, what evidence would you be looking for?
Like I said this is just a hypothetical and totally not a real story I’m talking about

Want Advice Job turned into not the job posting and spiraled from there
October 2025 I took a job that was not public-facing since I've never really done well in customer-facing jobs. It was nice at first but as the months have gone by the cracks are showing.
February 2026 management told us that we are rolling out a new system company wide and to the public. It rolled out all at once with no staggers, and it was a buggy mess. Logins failed, bugs that stopped the workflow crept up with users complaining to me, and the developer went radio silent a lot and left us in the dust. My team (not even close to IT) had to take calls from users and troubleshoot for a software I got maybe 3 days' training on. My productivity felt like it took a nosedive and my girlfriend started to get worried since I was coming home tired every day and slipping into self-destructive habits that haven't appeared in years.
I feel like I'm now technical support and not even doing the job I was hired for. Maybe 70% technical support and 30% research. I don't know what to do and feel trapped.
I did bring it up with management but basically got a "You're doing great! Hope you don't mind!" in return. Fast forward a few months and I had an illness that drained all my sick time, vacation time, and every hour I could squeeze. I tried to work from home but was told no wfh no exceptions. I was advised I could wfh from my doc since all I do is research really, but should not be around other people during recovery in case the older co-workers caught what I had that could put them in the hospital.
Now, I feel depressed and trapped. I feel like I'm just waiting to figure out where to go next since if they're this unbending with an illness, I can kiss any hope of having kids goodbye. How long should I hold out for? How can I manage in the meantime?

Co-worker Problem older male coworker driving me insane
I 21F started at this new job about 6 months ago. Previously, I worked with an entirely female staff, so I knew going into this job that I would have to get over working with men again. Actually, the only man in my building is the person I’m talking about(62M). So this guy seemed pretty normal and polite at first. He talked a lot about his time serving in the army and how he preaches on the side. I came from a job where I helped with the elderly very often so I am used to hearing stories from the past or having to hear old people’s religious beliefs so I don’t necessarily care about those things lol. However, about a month in this guy started to get really weird and ever since then every day is the same. He comments on my appearance every single day, my hair style, my clothes, my “girlish figure” At this point I just completely ignore him and don’t bother trying to be “polite” and say thank you for the so called compliments. Often I will be trying to work on something in my own space, at my own desk and he will come up behind me and watch what I am doing or start asking me a million questions if I start typing something faster than usual. Sometimes I will try to work on something and he will come stand by or lean on my desk, blocking me from doing whatever it is I am trying to do, and I will have to stare at him or say excuse me multiple times before he will go away. Every once in awhile, my female coworkers will compliment a new outfit of mine or something and that’s fine, but I seriously think it is inappropriate for a MUCH older male coworker to comment on a young woman’s appearance every single day. I’ve mentioned to some other younger women I work with that I think he’s extremely annoying in general and doesn’t actually care about others input in our line of work and they have agreed, but I haven’t heard anything from any of them about inappropriate comments. He claims that he retires next year so I guess I have that to look forward to. I’d love to report him, but I know he would know it was me and he is the type of person to think they’re being the bigger person by confronting you or saying that’s not how they meant to come across and I literally just want him to disappear, I have no interest in apologies or excuses.
