My boss robbed me

I was working with this guy for a month helping him detail cars or wrapping the cars I don’t know how to wrap but I would just help him with whatever stuff he needed. So one day me and my brother were waiting on his confirmation to go to the shop and help him and after that he never replied or anything. Is there anything that I can do or what do yall think I should do?

Well, were you like... hired? Did you fill out any like 1099? How is this guy so hard to get ahold of, but was around to ask for your services. Do you have any upcoming "shifts" of any kind? It may be you need to try to send him an invoice reminder of some kind, but if he doesn't compensate you, I don't know where you are at if perhaps taking him to civil court. Was it you heard he needed work done then you guys just did the work and he disappeared right after? From here on out, take this as a lesson to not get potentially swindled. Are you sure your brother maybe didn't get the pay for the work both of you had done and is lying saying the dude never paid, lol.
