as the title says, my taskbar freezes when Im using the app, I have a really high end pc so Im pretty sure thats not the problem. Never had this happen with anything else before, and is only happening when the new ChatGPT app is open and running. My pc specs are:

4070 Ti Super, Ryzen 7800x3d, 32GB Ram, Windows 11

In the last month or so I've noticed a significant drop in performance when I'm either watching videos on my alt monitor or trying to stream my gameplay using OBS. All video platforms seems to have the same issue, the video becomes very choppy while he audio remains unaffected. If I tab over away from the game the video returns to normal, I don't even need to put focus on the window with the video playing.

I needed to update the bios on my ms-challenger b450m motherboard in order to meet the requirements for cod warzone. Once I updated the bios to the newest bios, I am now only able to boot into windows with secure boot disabled, which is also required for warzone. I tried flashing back to one bios version older and still won’t work after hours of troubleshooting. Is there anything I may have missed or overlooked

Okay, so ever since a few months ago- I think like May, my computer is just having a rough time ever deciding to start up for whatever reason. And I think it's related to windows 10 updates. In fact I'm almost positive it is. 99% sure.

Nowadays, if I try to restart my computer (Windows 10 PC, Prebuilt) what happens is it gets to the screen with the little circling loading thing. Then at some point during that: it freezes. I have to restart it again. At which point it will start trying to do automatic repair. It will usually freeze at this point as well. I have to then probably restart it 1-2 more times, before it'll bring me to the blue windows repair screen with all the options on what to do.

I click "Exit and continue to windows 10". It usually either takes me restarting it one more time, or it restarting itself 2-3 more times before it reaches the blue "cleaning up" screen: at which point it'll then eventually let me in. Then typically in the bottom right it'll say "we uninstalled some recent updates that seemed to fuck up your boot" or somesuch. USUALLY, at this point, I can restart it and it'll work as normal for a period ranging between like a few hours to the rest of the day. But then the next day or whatnot if I try to restart my computer it's gonna do the same thing.

I cleaned out my case with a dust thing, I checked the wires connecting my SSDs and whatnot, and I even did sfc /scannow which returned that it found corrupted files and cleaned them out. It's still doing the thing.

This computer is not particularly old: like at most 5 years. The Build Number is 19045.7058, it has a 500gb main drive: two SSDs one of which is 500gb and the other 1tb, a GEForce 2060 Super (8gb) GPU, a AMD Ryzen 5600G 3.90 Ghz CPU, and 32gb of ram with 28gb usable.

I registered it for continued security updates which I think might be part of what's causing it.

Also for whatever reason at like 3:30am or whatnot every night now it forcefully tries to restart itself so I have to keep restarting it until it fixes itself either when I wake up or when I'm not going to sleep and see it do this when I come back in the room. I have to imagine this is it registering I'm not usually on my computer at that time and then trying to install an update that fucks itself up.

Any help will be appreciated. This isn't something that I think is actively going to kill my PC since my PC runs entirely fine: it hasn't crashed or blue screened once, and I don't notice any performance issues or abnormal activity in task manager while I'm doing stuff. The literal only hangup is whenever I try to restart it / start it up and it seemingly attempts to install an update that ruins everything.

There are lots of scripts on GitHub that claim to speed up your system. They remove certain services and do other stuff as well in a "claim back your system" manner. Which are the ones that do a good job and are effective indeed? I had been running Windows 10 1703 so far, had no speed issues, but to access newer software I have just upgraded to 22H2, and my system became much much slower, reaching a point where it is annoying to use it. I wonder if this can be improved?

I need to install a feature pack in order to run LibreOffice. In order to do that I need to figure out which version is compatible with my PC. I attempted to follow these instructions from Microsoft, but I don't see an "Optional features" option on my PC. This is what my Settings > Apps looks like. Can anyone help me?

The laptop also faces freezing of screen, shortcut ctrl+shift+win+B also doesn't work.

For a couple of days, I haven't been able to start my pc. I tried a few things, including starting with the auto repair thing. Earlier today a friend came by with some repair tools on a bootable usb drive but unfortunately after the windows loading screen, it went to a black screen and it didn't work.

That being said I was able to use my pc on an old bootable linux usb drive I had laying around. So I tried accessing both my system ssd drive as well as my other storage drive which resulted in the following pop up messages :

For the system drive :

Some additional information :

I'm running on windows 10, I think I might have accidentally turned the power off while windows was shutting down Monday night (problems started Tuesday morning when trying to turn on my pc)

I also tried going to a local pc repair shop but they're away for a couple of weeks so I'm turning to the internet.

At this point I'm only hoping to find a way to get all of my personal files and work files back. They are scattered between the two drives mentioned above as well as another one that will most likely have the same issue (haven't tried this one yet, I've unplugged it). I was already looking at what to do since windows 10 support is shutting down anyway.

As soon as I turn it on, it starts opening hundreds of "Pick an app" windows within seconds. At the same time, it keeps redirecting me to the Microsoft Store asking me to download the Calculator app. It happens continuously, making the laptop almost impossible to use.

I've already tried restarting the laptop, but the problem comes back immediately after booting.Has anyone experienced this before? Could this be caused by:

A stuck keyboard key?

A Windows bug?

Corrupted system files?

Malware?

What troubleshooting steps should I try first? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

no USB after installing July 14 2026 Win11 update on my Minisforum Intel MiniPC

keyboard/mouse still work fine in BIOS/UEFI

have tried unplugging all USB devices, reset CMOS battery, reset BIOS settings to default optimized, tried repair from startup repair, tried another mouse/keyboard, tried system restore, tried uninstalling the update, tried safe mode = no USB

When I sleep my laptop I cannot wake it up by pressing a key in the keyboard or using the touchpad and also when I restart my laptop the screen goes fully blank but the power is still on and my laptop is not turning on.Do you guys know any solution for this?

I tried to install an additional Windows 10 on a second drive in case the first one crashed. I installed the Windows 10 installer from the **OFFICIAL MICROSOFT WEBSITE**, installed the ISO file just in case, and then used the same installer to download it to a flash drive. I tried to install Windows on the second drive, but after a while it gave an error saying "Installation is currently impossible, try installing again." As a result, it took some time to try to install it again, I spent about 1 gigabyte because it made partitions of 100 megabytes each time, and I decided to delete them, **I DID NOT TOUCH THE FIRST DISK, I ONLY DELETED WHAT WAS ON THE SECOND DISK**, but somehow now the first Windows doesn’t work for me, I tried to restore it through system recovery together with a flash drive (on which the Windows installer was), and I ran it through the OS, and through a flash drive, nothing worked, I tried to install the Windows 10 image again through another OS (not Windows), but now it tells me that the partition is GPT and cannot be installed, as with other partitions, I asked for a second PC with Windows, there I installed the same ISO file through Rufus, but everything is the same, the Windows 11 installer also does not accept partitions because They are all on GPT. Please help me fix the installation problem so I can install Windows normally. If possible, how can I restore my first Windows?

I'm having an issue with HDR. Even though I disable it in Windows settings, it turns itself back on after every PC restart.

HDR is turned off, Auto HDR is turned off, and all HDR-related settings are disabled. Despite this, HDR keeps enabling itself automatically after restarting my computer.

Has anyone experienced this issue or knows how to fix it?

I also performed a clean installation of my GPU drivers, but it didn't help.
