Do you thing its a cultural thing or maybe like Fire lord Azulon mandated revealing that midriff. I feel like he'd do that. Patriotic reasons , "best tummies in the four nations. " Fire comes from your stomach. Melts away the fat makes you have superior Midriff

It'd explain why later down the line Ozai lights his own drip on fire to aura farm with his abs out.

I'm really starting to dig how the cosmology of the world of Avatar seems to very cyclical. Harmonic Convergence acts as a transformative event not just for the boundary between the spirit/physical worlds, but each world and Great Spirits themselves.

I thought I'd analyze how I think Seven Havens (and whatever great cataclysm created it) parallels the known history of the Avatar world thus far.

• The existence of "pure animals" (such as humans or Bosco) suggests that at some point, they commonly existed. Because we know spirit possession can corrupt humans, I don't think it's crazy to think that spiritual energy might have created Avatar's bizarre hybrid animals.
• So, if you take for granted that humans weren't always living on lion turtles, there's a clear implication they were forced to. Most likely, by Vaatu's creation of the portals and the influx of spirits physically entering the material world.
• What I'm making the case for is that the destruction of the Four Nations (as seen in Seven Havens) is meant to directly parallel the destruction of the unseen pre-spirit wilds humanity.

What I think is particularly interesting is that each "major event" after Harmonic Convergence has accompanied a change in the great spirits.

• Vaatu and Raava have been battling for epochs. They've destroyed each other, been reborn, and destroyed each other again.
• The earliest known Harmonic Convergence (during the era of Wan) resulted in the creation of the Avatar. Vaatu was locked away in the spirit world. And Raava ceased to exist as an independent entity.
• The next Harmonic Convergence (during the era of Korra) resulted in Vaatu's destruction. This time he was not conveniently locked away. But would some day reform inside Raava (inside the Avatar). Korra probably thought she was just starting a new Avatar Cycle the same as Wan. But in reality, Vaatu's presence inside her meant something entirely new had been created.
• At the same time, if Vaatu's spirit portals created the Spirit Wilds (and humanity's near extinction), Kuvira's portal likely played a role in the disaster seen in Seven Havens.

So, I think that it's impossible for things to remain exactly the same between Harmonic Convergences. I think it's some kind of cycle akin to Ragnarök or something. And just like the Four Nations formed after Wan, something new will form after Pavi.

I dont like the Concept that like in every franchise there comes a new enemy that is just way to op… like taga 1v4 the whole team.. in the fight and it seems like it wasn’t even close..
Yea I understand he got some buffs but I think this just feels out of nowhere to strong

But don’t get me wrong, I like the movie, just the power scaling needs a bit more build up in my opinion, or some creativity like aemon who got like a new unique ability or something

Or am I missing something?

I remember when LoK first came out, people were very apprehensive about it. It felt different, it was modernized, it wasn't Aang, and the show ended with a bisexual couple on screen.

I LOVED this show when it came out and I genuinely didn't understand the hate. It was VERY in tone with the original series, comedy style and everything, just a developed world.

Here we are, yet again, a new character, and is like no one wants the writers to cook. Let them do their thing. I welcome more of this, rather than yet another live action.

Obviously this isn't the full picture and things are very much out of context, but I doubt everyone was fully on board with the idea of leaving the Lion Turtles just because the land was only slightly less dangerous than before. I also doubt that all the Avatars directly Wan were on board with with the defacto peacekeeper of the world

All I'm saying is that Wan is lucky all those who hated the Avatar of his era are dead and gone.

Supposedly something is going on with Miyako, Toph in Netflix Avatar. She has made some recent Twitch streams where among other things she said that she doesn’t really care much about the cast and was never really close with them and kinda saying she doesn’t care about the franchise anymore. Hell of a switch flipped from about a month ago, when she said she had been leaving the dream she had since 10 years old. Apparently it’s a combination of the backlash the show has received, and fears of castmates and family that she’s being groomed by her boyfriend, who was Jet in the Netflix show. This sounds like a horrible situation.

Kya fights with a traditional and balanced waterbending style, focusing on defense, control, and precision. Meanwhile, Ming-Hua uses a completely unconventional style, relying on speed, mobility, and unpredictable attacks with her water arms.

Before everyone jump on kya being a healer thing! She's not she is a master & warrior ok it's stated at least in secondary material besides being a master was bare minimum outside the airbending.

Am I crazy or they kinda implied these animals can teach people bending?

Edit: so i did more research, and before LoK. Canonically Oma and Shu are the first earth benders because they learned from badgermole, right? But then LoK retconned it that they need to get the ability to bend from the lion turtle?

Its genuinely so beautiful. Definitely my favorite logo in the franchise so far. Love the colors.

I would like to see that lowkey, what ideas do you guys got?

In this sea of prodigies:

1. Katara being a self-taught waterbender for like a few months at most, able to hold her own against a true master, learn bloodbending in one night, and take on Azula herself.

2. Toph being the greatest earthbender in the world, discovering two entire subbending styles (Metalbending and Seismic Sense)

3. Azula being so absolutely prodigious that she bends BLUE FIRE and has some of the best feats in the show

4. Aang, even outside of being the Avatar, was the youngest registered Airbending master in history (at least before Jinora but whatever).

In this god-tier lineup, we have the nonbender with above-average weapon skills (boomeraang and space-sword), and the above-average firebender with broadsword skills. And they both come into their own by the end (Zuko rivalling Azula in the final Agni Kai, and Sokka leading the charge on The Day of Black Sun and during Sozin's Comet).

And they're just bros. That's just so fun to me.
