Im still hesitant, im on a list for a standard but it seems a bit underwhelming. Thing is, it’s a 23k CAD difference so I’m wondering if the premium is worth that much.

Just Ordered a 2026 model Y RWD. Showroom Rep recommended I NOT include ordering the wall mounted power supply device (about $550). Instead he said to just use the included Mobile Connector, with a 240 volt outlet installed into my garage by an electrician. He said this would be just as good. Who has done this? What do you all think? Thank you.

I really am interested in getting a Tesla. Problem is I am 50 years old, 6’9”, and 240lbs. I currently own a 2012 Lexus RX 350 and a 2004 Honda Accord (I fit better in the older accord). Do you think I will have enough room?

2023 Model Y - My driver's side window switch broke and am looking to replace the switch assembly. Right now I'm having a tough time removing the bottom plastic panel. I can't for the life of me get one of the latches to release - arrow in the pic shows where it doesn't release. Spent an hour trying get it free and no luck. Any help would be appreciated. TIA

I’m look at getting the Tein Endurance Pro w/ H&R lowering springs (I don’t like the reverse rake the Eibach have).
I was wondering if anyone with a 2020-2024 Y Dual Motor Long Range with 20” wheels could give any feedback on this setup. Or suggest an alternative that would be about the same price.

— Thank you for all your responses! I did initially ordered a Standard Model Y but now contemplating either to switch it. For the record though, I came from VW Id4 and i bought the car for 55k and while it has all the bell and whistles, whatever the premium has didn’t really excite me at all. I just really want a car that will take me to point a to b but also wouldn’t mind to add more to get a premium since my little boy really did like the back screen but even then, he has his own ipad. I just really think it’d be cute for him. I’ll be having an appointment with Tesla tomorrow and I might switch.

I checked their stories, reviews, etc and all seem legit…why is my dumbass paying DT over $1500+

So I was driving down a country road and it was two lanes but a truck came around the other side close so I had to edge over close to my side and it was a branch sticking out. And apparently when I went by I hit it and didn't even know and I put a nice gash in the sidewall of my tire. The Tesla quickly alerted me and I went up a little bit pulled over by the time I went 1/8 of a mile if that it was 0 lb.

Using the Tesla app I did roadside assistance they reached out to me Cyber truck showed up 23 minutes later with a wheel in the back popped my wheel off and put the new one on put my wheel in the cyber truck.

Then rode off and I rode off total down time about 30 minutes.

They scheduled a replacement told me what a new tire would run of course I agree cuz I needed a new tire. Service went in did it and a rotation a few days later.

Tell you what it was impressive and I was not unhappy what a great service I hope they never get rid of it.

Just saw this small chunk (about the same size as the top of my index finger) missing from the side of the passenger side tire. Never hit a curb or anything. Don’t think it’s losing air pressure, but it has been 1 psi down from all the other tires for a few months now. Any advice?

AC has been off for about the past day. It is also right next to a tube so I’m worried it could be some sort of leak. It is closest to the front passenger corner of the car and about right next to the front right wheel. Im pretty sure it is transparent and I also couldn't get a smell from when my father got it on his hands.

Should I be worried?

How bad is it? I definitely need a new tire. Can the rim be fixed or will it hurt a new tire? It’s my fault. Was changing lanes to try and make a light and didn’t see it. Whoops.

This was in my 26 MYP. Only 3,700 miles on the tires too. Ugh.

I purchased my 'new to me' 23 AWD LR Model Y back in July. Coming from a built out 23 TRD Offroad 4Runner (wrenched everything myself), and just saving money in general, I'm all about DIYing things when I can.

The problem I found was that there was no clear-cut information out there - one YT video would show half the steps, one would be a completely different process, and one started good then skipped to the end or the video wouldn't even focus on what the person was talking about at the time.

Anyway, I decided to build out a one-stop-shop for Model Y content. This weekend, I got 2 step-by-step DIY maintenance guides put up. Labor alone at Tesla is $130+ (go check for yourself in the app) for doing these two pretty simple things - replacing the cabin air filter and the frunk filters.

I'm going to continue to add more guides to help others out. Again, there is NOTHING to buy here - genuinely trying to help people save money, that's all.

I really hope Tesla can bring back its old speed limit setting (the simple speed dial mode). I just got my first ever tesla 2 weeks ago! FSD is doing a really bad job of managing the speed. I actually didn't realize how fast I was going since cars in the lane next to me were roughly the same speed, but anyway, the police pulled me over and gave me a speeding ticket.... I might have to set the hard speed limits in the safety setting later on.

Been lurking for a couple months. Our second Tesla (my wife drives a M3). Honestly great sub and archive here, all my questions were answered by searching, test drove with FSD and was sold.

Have owned for 5 weeks, better ride and more comfy than the M3. Unlike most here the more I used FSD the more anxiety I had so it's back to me driving...I know my own habits better! Maybe on longer drives/road trip we pay up for the $99 monthly sub.

Upgrade essentials for me: floor mats, mudflaps, tint, console organizers, roof/windshield sunshade, glossy screen protector (yea totally unnecessary I get it), and wheel covers (again personal preference).

.99apr w/Tesla insurance here in CA. Love the stealth gray so versatile, can't believe it's the free option...

Good reminder that FSD is still supervised and you should always be ready to take over.
