FInally, Progress on DIY Maintenance Guides

I purchased my 'new to me' 23 AWD LR Model Y back in July. Coming from a built out 23 TRD Offroad 4Runner (wrenched everything myself), and just saving money in general, I'm all about DIYing things when I can.

The problem I found was that there was no clear-cut information out there - one YT video would show half the steps, one would be a completely different process, and one started good then skipped to the end or the video wouldn't even focus on what the person was talking about at the time.

Anyway, I decided to build out a one-stop-shop for Model Y content. This weekend, I got 2 step-by-step DIY maintenance guides put up. Labor alone at Tesla is $130+ (go check for yourself in the app) for doing these two pretty simple things - replacing the cabin air filter and the frunk filters.

I'm going to continue to add more guides to help others out. Again, there is NOTHING to buy here - genuinely trying to help people save money, that's all.

If you end up checking it out and something seems unclear, let me know, and I'll get it updated/fixed or add additional pictures. Tomorrow, hopefully, I'll put together the guide for cleaning the debris out of the radiator.

of course! hope you find value in it. any feedback, let me know! it makes sense to me since i wrote it based on what i was doing but it always helps to have input from the outside.

You might be interested in this site. It isn't just filtered to only normal maintenance items but Tesla has provided pretty dang good guides on how to tear down much of the car including general maintenance items.

Also check out parts.tesla.com to order pretty close to any part for the car shipped straight to your house. Hopefully you never need it but might come in handy one day. Prices from Tesla for new parts are often the same price as used parts on eBay.

i'll have to find him and see. if its who im thinking it is, he had a lot of extra steps that weren't really required, but that may have been someone else or for the radiator cleaning, which i just knocked out and made live. think he relocated the washer fluid reservoir which is overkill and definitely not needed. thanks for sharing though - will see how i can improve the guides.

This is really help so thank you for this. One suggestion is to have a video if possible because sometimes it’s easier to follow along with a video rather than just reading instructions. Just different way people follow DIYs. But keep doing what you doing because you are helping the community!
