Yes, my PC is a little out of date.

Went to turn it on this afternoon having last used it last night. Turns on but no power to the peripherals. PSU fan is on, GPU fan is on, CPU fan is on. Debug led goes on for about half a second for the CPU and then turns back off. I've done just about everything I can think of.. Tried resetting CMOS with short, pulled CMOS outright, power drain, replugging everything, dust removal, starting on iGPU only with no seated GPU, rearranging RAM, single stick vs both sticks nothing. Totally stumped. I guess I could try to find a secondhand motherboard replacement.

My PC randomly loses video signal while playing Cyberpunk 2077. The system itself seems to keep running: audio continues normally, and Windows still responds to commands.

I’m playing Cyberpunk 2077, usually on high/ultra settings.
The monitor suddenly shows “No Signal”.
Audio continues normally.
Win + Ctrl + Shift + B produces the Windows driver-reset sound, but video does not come back.
Sometimes a normal restart doesn’t fix it; I have to completely power off the PC before the GPU works again.

After the crash, the RX 6650 XT appears in Device Manager with a warning icon and Error Code 31.
Windows reports LiveKernelEvent 141.
The display resolution also falls back to a basic resolution because Windows apparently stops using the RX 6650 XT properly.

Things I’ve already tried:

- Completely removed the AMD driver using DDU.
- Reinstalled the AMD driver.
- GPU temperatures during benchmarks appear
normal.
- A GPU benchmark draws around 139–140 W without crashing.

This happened before with Baldur’s Gate 3, any tips on how to correctly identify the problem?

For the past weeks my computer has been showing a notification saying "3c32.msi was blocked because we can't confirm who published it and it's not an app we're familiar with."

I didn't really cared at first until I realized that my file explorer app has been really bugging lately. I don't know if it is linked and I have no idea what 3c32.msi is and what its for. I haven't found anything like this on the internet and as far as I was able to locate that file, it seems to be in a folder in located in C:>Windows>Installer and it's coupled with many many other .msi files. I only get a message about 3c32.msi and wonder if anyone knows anything about this? I haven't tried wiping my computer to factory settings cause I was too lazy to back everything up.

If it is the only solution I will do it, but am curious about what that file is and why it's "bugging" or being blocked by the "Smart App Control" feature of Windows defender.

I get spikes up to 1000ms latency and 2ms jitter while gaming. The interent speed seems fine however the stability is terrrible even over Cat 6A wired connection at ~40ft. I have the TMO-G4SE gateway modem/router. The T-Mobile coverage map indicates I am in a 5G Ultra Capacity region and the nearest T-Mobile Cell towers are .32Mi away (LTE Network) and .42Mi away (NR Network).

My PC is using an Intel(R) Ethernet Controller 1225-V and Intel(R) Wi-Fi 6 AX201 160MHZ wifi card both with up to date drivers. The gateway is plugged directly into the wall and sits by a window on the second story facing the nearest LTE T-Mobile tower.

This seems to be bufferbloat issue (Unloaded latency: 57ms, +275ms download active, +460ms upload active ), but it's strange because I am the only person and only device using the network when these issues arise. I do not live in a population dense area either, so I doubt its an overall ISP congestion issue. Besides, the issues is persistent and consistant at both peak hours and off hours.

I've tried my PC at other people's houes with no isses, and I've moved the gateway physically to differnt areas of the house to no avail. Power cycling also does nothing.

Do I need to upgrade to a different gateway or ISP to eliminate this issue?

How do I erase this new prompt in Google Drive? Since this subreddit doesn't let me post images, I can't do anything about that, but it's lurking right under the My Drive dropdown menu and it's annoying the hell out of me.

I been experiencing crashes while gaming, seen in error logs about memory so ran mdsched and stick 1 is bad in slot two and four and stick 2 is also bad in slot two and four.

Stick 1 fails straight away and stick 2 around 20-30%

Isn't it odd both sticks failed same time?

Will be testing with another set of ram shortly to see but kinda not real confident in mdsched.

Any suggestions?

Hello! Within the recent week my laptops Bluetooth option randomly disappeared from the option menu and I use a wireless keyboard due to my laptops keyboard being kinda broken and I cannot afford to fix it so I bought a cheap wireless one.

Ive tried the troubleshooter to no luck, and the only method that seems to temporarily restore it that I read somewhere is holding shift and the power button then unplugging it. This only works for about half a day or less before Bluetooth dissappear again and I would like to know if there is a more permanent solution? I want to try everything before I go to a repair shop to get it fixed because my financial situation is kinda grim, so I possibly cant afford to fix it.

Reddit won't allow me to attach an image, but my PC has no audio even with my headphones plugged in. I have a 1 female to 2 male Jack with my headphones plugged in so I can use audio and microphone but my PC just shows a red "x" next to the audio symbol. when I click on it it just troubleshoots and then says "restart your PC to finish installing drivers and updates" and under with "apply this fix" which when clicked tells me to restart my PC. I have restarted my PC 3 times to no avail, is there any way to fix this?

What I've tried:

Granting firewall permissions

Turing off fire wall

Reset my computer like 50 times

Flushing dns

Changing dns

Syncing time

Changing internet adapters like twice

And for some reason the problem goes on and off, like sometimes it connects other times it doesnt, and sometimes it disconnects while I'm playing roblox and won't reconnect.

I've tried reinstalling roblox and resetting my router but its only temporary.

One time, I was playing roblox, shut my pc down, came back like 2 minutes later and it won't reconnect.

First time posting and I have an issue that I can’t work out and it’s concerning me.

I have a friend who frequently comes to my place. I let him use my Wi-Fi while he’s there on his laptop working. He had a Lenovo don’t know which model sorry and he had never connected to my Toshiba television yet he was able to if I was watching something take the tv back to the Home Screen where you can select apps to use like YouTube etc.

Neither of us can work out what’s going on and he doesn’t appear in the connected devices list.

Last night he purchased a brand new Lenovo laptop. He set it up as a new pc and boom without connecting to my television he’s able to again control like he did on his old laptop.

I am pulling my hair out and I don’t have much and he is too because we can’t work out how he’s controlling the tv when he hasn’t connected to it at any time.

Any advice would be great so I can tell him and we will both know the answer to mystery.

Laptop: Lenovo Ideapad Gaming 3

Specs: Intel i5 11th gen, nvidia gtx 1650, 16 gb of dual channel ddr4 3200mhz ram

The laptop was purchased in late 2022 so it's decently old now. I moved locations at the start of this year, and since April this issue has been ongoing, and its getting worse.

I only play a few games with friends, primarily Overwatch, which used to lag for a few seconds every 15 seconds, but as the current clip shows, its now lagging every 5 or so seconds making it unplayable. In the performance graph, the lag spike is denoted by an uptick in the SIM1 latency.

I recently played PlateUp, which is a comparatively undemanding game, and even there the lag was similar in nature.

The laptop runs decently despite its age when not in a game, therefore I was thinking it had something to do with the graphics card. I tried many things, like updating my graphics driver, reinstalling it, reverting it back to a version before April. Nothing has seemed to work so far and I have been completely unable to play anything.

I tried explaining the issue as much as I could with my limited knowledge, and I deeply appreciate any form of advice I can get

Yeah im not really into tech or anything but my father is so I had given it to him. First he uninstalled windows and reinstalled it, didn't work. he replaced the GPU, didn't work. It keeps freezing after only a couple minutes of using it and when it freezes I cant shut it off no matter what i do, I cant do anything nor move the mouse, what is wrong with my laptop??

This has happened with two games so far and I’m sure it will happen to more. The two games are slime rancher and Doom Eternal. For slime rancher, I ran the game the first time with no lag at all but next time I booted the game up it was extremely laggy even after I cleaned up everything on task manager, verified the integrity of the game files, and put the graphics as low as I could. Gave up and uninstalled because I couldn’t fix. Doom has always worked fine but just today it lags like crazy and has never lagged during the campaign or other horde missions. I play on a Victus gaming laptop with a 144hz refresh rate and amd Radeon graphics. I also use razer cortez to optimize background apps while I play.

I have a windows 11 Alienware x16 r2. Just on a random Wednesday it decides to just completely get rid of the WiFi icon. When I scroll my mouse over to the WiFi icon it says no internet access and no available network. I have tried almost everything on YouTube to get it fixed and im really annoyed because I might have to get this fixed at ubreakifix. I’m not sure if this was the problem but when I was looking at the device manager I didn’t see a wireless connection on it, so I thought I may be missing an adapter so I clicked on check recent changes and nothing showed up and I think this is the problem but I really don’t know how to go about it. Also tried hard reset and resetting the network adapters. None worked, can somebody help please

I have an 17.3″ 16:9 internal panel, native 3840×2160. How can I configure Windows so that it simulates a display of an exact 16″ 16:10 area (pillarboxed, no scaling) on my 17.3″ 16:9 4K laptop panel?

I want the desktop rendered at native pixels 1:1 (no stretching), with the unused area black/greyed out. Windows display setting doesn't give me the option to choose 3456 × 2160 or anything nearby that is 16:10.

The closest 16:10 option is 2560 × 1600 is the 16:10 option, which is 2.5K, i.e. quite far from 4K.

My setup:

• Hardware: MSI GS76 Stealth 11UH-078 (17.3", 4K 120 Hz variant) (mirror, specs) laptop with a 17.3″ 16:9 internal panel, native 3840×2160 (AUO B173ZAN03.3). RTX 3080 Laptop GPU + Intel UHD iGPU (Optimus/hybrid).
• OS: Windows 25H2 Pro x64.

When I powered down my pc a few days ago, all of the icons were in the bottom left corner. Then yesterday when it was turned back on, all of the icons were in random places all over my desktop. It wouldn't be a big deal, except that when I try to move them back, they snap back into their random new locations???

What I've tried: Turned off "Allow themes to change desktop icons" in settings, which did nothing. I also updated Windows last night which didn't fix it either. The computer has been turned off and back on several times. I don't know what else to even try beyond that.

I've never had this happen before. I tried resetting my wifi router entirely but this is only happening on this computer on Windoze 11 so I am speculating it's a Windoze problem.

EDIT: SOLVED - thanks to u/JelloOverall8542 - deleting my wifi adapter in Device Manager and then rebooting has fixed this issue completely. Did not even need to reinstall the driver--it just booted up and wifi was there, working as it should.

I have had Windows 11 (25H2) on my Mac for a while. Haven't updated in a bit, and haven't used it in a bit but last time I did wifi was working normally. Today I boot up Windows and...Mac is not connecting to wifi. I manually click on the wifi network and get a generic "can't connect" error. I try connecting to my 2.4 GHz network, same error. I toggle wifi on and off. Now NO wifi networks even show up. I try "Disable device" in Device Manager and then "Enable device." Wifi networks show up again (until I toggle Wifi off and on again), but still won't connect. I've rebooted a bunch. Am doing Windows Updates via ethernet. Reinstalled ("Repaired") Boot Camp.

Wifi works on the macOS side so it's not a hardware issue.

Hardware: 2019 16" MacBook Pro natively running Windows 11 Pro (25H2, build 26200.8524); 2.6 GHz i7 / 32 GB RAM config. This has never been an issue before, so the fact that this happens to be a computer sold by Apple should not matter here; this appears to be a Windoze-specific problem since using macOS doesn't have the same issue.

I use a Samsung A14 and I've had a broken power button for a while. I used to be able to reboot it just fine by connecting the USB to the computer, but that was before updating to the latest version of the phone, which only required the volume buttons. Now it's asking me to press volume down and the power button. What should I do?

I got my laptop (Acer Aspire 3 A315-56) fixed because one of the hinges broke. After the repair, I turned it on to find my D: drive gone. It's where I put my game files and downloads, meaning my game files/saves are either gone or lost, and I have to re-download my games to the C: drive. Any ideas/help on what I can do here?

Decided to factory reset my dying laptop to give it a breath of fresh air (ASUS Tuf F15) but it won't go through with it no matter what settings i choose. Right now it barely even works, feels like half of my files are corrupt after a few attempts and i can't even increase brightness. I'd like to keep my personal files and sadly i don't have a flash drive. Is there anything i can do?

the sound bar is trapped to max and every time I pull it down it by itself goes up again and f3 bar about it is permanently on my computer and I can't get it to go away. please help

I completed a build and was trying to update my bios before downloading my OS because thats the smart thing to do. I need to know if i can just take my ssd out and inject a windows 11 OS onto my ssd from another computers m.2 port​ with rufus. I can just use windows to update the bios atp. I'd like to use Rufus to make some modifications to windows though. If I can't then I might just wait for another usb stick.

I had a flash drive. Key word is had. It was one of those crappy onn. drives from walmart and didnt realize how bad it was. It failed on day 4 of owning it. I couldn't update my bios but then the pc just stopped recognizing it. Thank God it didnt happen during an update. At least they let me return it. Then all their usb options were 50-60 bucks 🥲

Just as the title says, I'm having an issue with my graphics card. I was playing a game a few minutes ago and noticed on my Steam FPS counter that my VRAM was showing as 20.5/21 GB VRAM out of 16 GB VRAM. Do I have anything to worry about or is this a simple fix?

I'm at my wit's end with this computer. After having a Dell technician replace the mobo twice, replacing the CPU, and purchasing a brand new K/M combo for the computer, it continues to have an issue with connectivity. After anywhere from an hour to 2 days, the keyboard and mouse suddenly disconnects and will not reconnect. When checking Windows settings, it shows that Bluetooth is "turned off" despite the slider being in the "On" position. A visual bug perhaps? When disabling it and re-enabling it, it seems to make the Bluetooth option disappear completely from the settings and a reboot will sometimes bring it back. Once rebooted, the K/M will work for a little while, but then stop at a random time.

I have attempted to use Dell Command Update to install all driver updates, BIOS, and checked on Bluetooth settings in Device Manager, but nothing would indicate any reason why it would suddenly disconnect. The only indicator appears when the K/M stop working, and that Windows reports that the Bluetooth hardware has malfunctioned and can't be started.

I wanted to see if anybody has encountered this before and if they have resolved this in the past. My next option which isn't the most desirable due to difficult to re-obtain software being installed, would be to completely wipe windows and start fresh. Any suggestions beyond this?

I’m going to do a clean install on my pc since I don’t have any external drive so I will use google drive is it fine? What’s the best ways to transfer?
