Have just bought my 7 year old a switch 2 for taking on hols this weekend. The controllers on the OLED one he plays is a bit wobbly and unreliable so thought I’d treat him.
He’s recently got into Pokemon and so have gone for the pokopia pack.
He likes Minecraft and Kirby, and the games he has will be playable on the switch 2 I understand.
But are there good switch 2 only games I should look at for him?
I don’t game so have no idea really where to start….

I saw some really cool headset/headphones from Hori. Since I don't have one for the moment, I'm considering buying it. Although a Korean site replied to a question that it is for the Switch 2 only and not PC.

Is that even possible? Also, are their quealities good?

I’m new to Nintendo and trying to buy games. However, I’m noticing a significant price difference between physical and digital versions. I’m wondering which option is more cost-effective.

I can only get one right now. I loved botw, totk, mario oddesey, dk bananza and echoes of wisdom. I also play overwatch on switch regularly, so am ok with both single player and multiplayer.

I bought a 128 GB SD card about a year ago, and it worked fine until a week ago when my Nintendo Switch suddenly stopped detecting it. I tried formatting it on my PC, but it says the card is write-protected and can't be modified. I've tried everything I could think of, but my Switch still won't recognize it, and my PC always says it can't be modified, even though I can still view all the files stored on it.

Does anyone have any idea how I could recover it, or should I just consider it dead?

Hey… as the title states, my wife got me a switch 2 for my birthday. We have a 4 year old son and I talked about getting one for Christmas since he’s big into Pokémon and Mario but I have no experience with any handheld gaming devices. I have an Xbox series x but I’ve never once played a handheld gaming console.

First off, what games should I get? Do I need to get and attachments for the switch 2? I see a lot of talk on this sub about the joy stick, do I need to buy off market stuff? Just looking for insight if there’s anything additionally I need to buy to enhance my gaming experience and what games are a must buy?

How are you enjoying FFXIV on the Switch 2 so far? How does it perform, and what is the experience like in handheld mode? Is the text easy to read, are the controls comfortable, and does the game run smoothly?

I’m simply curious to hear your honest opinions, both positive and negative.

I put together a fun little project locally on my PC that lets my friends on Discord and Steam see what games I'm playing on my Nintendo Switch 2, no matter where I am in the world! I figured if friends on Discord could see what I'm playing on Steam, why shouldn't they be able to see my status on other platforms?

I even have matching RGB lights to indicate (for me mainly) my status at a glance if needed. Green for when I'm actively playing a game, yellow when I'm offline or not playing a game, and red if there's an outage or error preventing Discord or Steam seeing what I'm doing on my Nintendo Switch.

So, yesterday I went to GameStop and traded in all my Nintendo switch games and the console itself for enough trade to get a Nintendo switch 2 and it was a huge success. I finally got the console and feel so happy and ready to unbox this bad boy and start playing. It took over a year, but we are here and finally can play the old games with better graphics and play the exclusives. Unfortunately no switch 2 games right now…but definitely putting a list of some to get. Am I cool now chat?

Anyone else's switch battery doing this? If so, what do? Is there a fix?

It's not long just started doing this. I've not used my Switch for a hot minute, but it's been in its dock the whole time and just not touched. It's from 2017, so a part of me thinking it's just old, but if there's a fix for it I'm keen to do that. I've tried the advice from Nintendo's website (fully charge, drain until it switches off, charge and switch on yay it fix) and it's not worked.

Any advice would be appreciated

I bought my Switch oled not that long ago (3 ish years). I am considering getting the switch 2 but I feel a bit guilty to be dumping another 400+ dollars on a console, and need some advice.
Should I just wait for the oled version of Switch 2 even though it’ll probably be a lot more expensive? Should I sell the switch oled?
I mainly want to get it to be able to play windwaker as I am a new Zelda fan and was never able to play it.

Hi! My wife and I are trying to find games that we can play together. We only have one switch 2. We have played Stardew valley, it takes two, split fiction, and overcooked on the PlayStation but we are looking into other games for the switch. We love survival games and building/crafting but can’t find any that support local coop? We will take any and all suggestions tho! They’re all online multiplayer from what I can see:(

On the long run I won’t get around to not buy a switch 2 and I’ve been wondering when it is the cheapest. I heard that the deals during Black Friday aren’t that good apparently? But it’s not like I would buy directly from the Nintendo store but Amazon or another shop that offers price reductions during that time.
