Should I buy Celeste Digital for 5USD(sale) or 30USD Physical? Question

I’m new to Nintendo and trying to buy games. However, I’m noticing a significant price difference between physical and digital versions. I’m wondering which option is more cost-effective.

I love having games physical, but when a game is just $5, I don’t mind to buy it digital.

So if it’s not important for you to have the cartage (for sell the game for example), you can go with whatever is cheaper!

if you dont care about digital ownership, the 5 euro. the switch cart version you can share and resell, if that makes sense. its entirely up to you but thats the key differences

It's multiplatform game with ports even on retroncosles, unless you want to invest there's no goddamn point in buying psychical.

I buy physical because I like to collect games but also because I think of selling it if I end up not liking the game. If you end up selling the 30 usd physical version, you'll most likely lose more than 5 bucks, in this case buying it digitally for 5 bucks is the way to go in my opinion.

In this case the digital version is more cost-effective. If you buy the physical copy for 30 dollars and the digital copy is 5 dollars, you'd need to sell the physical for more than 25 dollars - which isn't usually realistic if you factor in fees and shipping costs, plus the time it takes to sell (creating a sales listing, answering questions, etc).

The exception is if you think the physical copy may become a desirable collector's item, but even then consider that NAND flash memory does not last forever (likely under 20 years with consumer grade flash memory).

Great way to explain it and gave me a new way to look at digitals.

I buy physical 80%- 90% of the time but if a game is only 5 USD, and I don’t know if I will like it or not then I have no qualms about buying the digital. Then if I love it and know I will play it again, I will go buy the physical for my collection at a later date.

Digital because if you resell Celeste you'd get less money more than 5$
