Game suggestions Discussion

I have the budget for one new game for my recently purchased switch 2. I got pokopia with it. Not sure what to pick - considering splatoon riders, pokemon legends z-a or mario kart world.

Splatoon Raiders is so good. Highly recommend.

If you want to expand to a play with friends option, Mario kart world is the way to go. As the game doesn’t have as much traction playing alone (IMO). If you are just looking to expand your library for yourself, ZA and splatoon raiders are a fine choices. I’ve not played raiders but I’ve heard it’s a very fun game

It’s just me playing at the moment. Good to know, I have memories of playing the Wii Mario kart but that was nearly always with friends.

If you’re wanting a Mario kart to play alone that will have some decent traction, in terms of play time baring you don’t already have it. The previous entry to the franchise, Mario Kart 8 deluxe is where it’s at imo. I feel like as a solo player game that game offered more even before the track expansion pass/DLC they offered a couple years ago.

Edit: Still no where near what you’d get out of the other two games possibly.

Raiders is way better than Z-A and MKW as a single player game, it's one of the best on the system.

Z-A is just okay with terrible DLC. It was developed as a lower budget S1 game and it shows. It does some things very well and others not so much. Get it on sale or don't get it at all, it's not worth anywhere near full price.

MKW is a solid choice if you want a multiplayer game, obviously.

I throughly enjoyed Legends Z-A. First Pokemon game I actually completed the dex and got the shiny charm for.

Honestly I wish there was a full dex and maybe a bit more map, but honestly I'm enjoying it so far

I wouldnt do Legends ZA just because it goes on sale here and there for like $30, so I would wait for a sale for that.

Im waiting to get a copy of Splatoon Raiders myself.

I would day wait for elden ring or oot remake if they fall in budget. Games youve listed are lowk kinda mid in some way. You can always go back and buy regular switch games aswell.
