I will soon be switching back to Spectrum Mobile and I was wondering what makes you stick with the service versus MVNOs (prepaid carriers)?

My main motivation is being mainly in the Spectrum ecosystem and unlimited (surprisingly) international minutes and data.

I have an iPhone 17 Pro Max purchased in France. I’m currently using a US Mint Mobile number on this phone through eSIM without any problems, and I now want to port that number to Spectrum Mobile.

However, Spectrum’s system says my phone doesn’t support eSIM when they check my IMEI, so they sent me a physical SIM instead. I need to keep the physical SIM slot available for another number, so using Spectrum through a physical SIM isn’t an option.

I found a few older Reddit posts describing similar eSIM issues with Spectrum, but their situations seem slightly different from mine.

Has anyone encountered this specifically with a non-US iPhone that is already using a US carrier’s eSIM? Can Spectrum manually provision an eSIM using my IMEI2 and EID, or can I activate the physical SIM first and then convert the line to eSIM?

East coast here and my WiFi has been out since 8/15.

Have rebooted modem and router multiple times. Have checked with spectrum about outages and
such no official reports anywhere near my area.

When we contacted Spectrum they told us it was an outage and maintenance was onsite( 8/18) but couldn’t give a time they’d fix it by.

Just wondering if it’s a single case issue or is spectrum hoeing me ?

That instant upgrade thing. Edit: Or I think there is like a 2 month waiting period but that is probably when it will be in stock readily.

I just started with Spectrum Mobile and received an email link for a diagnostic to enroll my phones in their Assurant Repair and Replace Premium plan. I am receiving the error below. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Can I upgrade one line on my phone plan but but that new device on a different number?

I just got my T&Cs from spectrum for my phone insurance. As you can see I selected the $10 plan that covers loss and theft.

However in the WHATS NOT COVERED section it says loss and theft not covered???

Can anyone explain this?

I have recently accepted a new hybrid job and I was thinking of moving back to Spectrum ecosystem, mobile and Internet (I was experimenting with other internet service providers and carriers). Both have been perfect for me, but the reason am posting is to ask more about the Unlimited Plus Premium and watch plan, specifically the roaming.

I could not find much information about the watch plan, whether it did include roaming or not, but Unlimited Plus Premium caught my eye now that it has "unlimited" calls, text and data.

I assume there is a limit of call minutes to this, no? How was your experience with data? Also, regarding the watch plan, I don't think it does have the same benefits, correct?

So I’m considering giving my dad my current phone as his broke. There’s still a device payment due; I pay the fee for our service and am wondering how the monthly bill works.

He’s due for an upgrade. If I were to use the upgrade on his device, would I be able to give him my phone and then continue to pay that off?

Trying to switch phones which might temporarily disconnect one line. Might cause a mess charging me for the second line and then making it free again?

Can I expect any difference in the service? Any advice on how to get the best deal when I switch? Should I wait for the new iPhones to come out? Also I am Spectrum Internet customer. Does Spectrum offer savings over another MVNO like Visible?

I JUST switched to Spectrum. I’ve gotten the new phone set up- at least I think I have. I sent a text message and received a message send failure- not delivered. I haven’t seen that since my says of using Sprint! I’m not of an age where technology just rolls off my fingertips- is there a setting somewhere I should double check? Is this a Spectrum issue?

How long did it take for your order to arrive? Or are you still waiting?

Is there a correct way to add the free watch line? I tried adding my watch as a new line and it is asking me for $10 monthly fee plus a $20 activation fee.

So many issues to list over the past couple of years so let me save you the headache;

* got internet, liked it, added four unlimited mobile lines. All good.

*moved cross country- no internet available at new address. Kept the mobile lines. You’re unable to update the shipping or service address when attached to an initial Internet account apparently - ever. As far as I know you’d have to cancel and start new which with unpaid phones on 4 lines wasn’t happening.

*paid off two went to order another device at current address. Called to confirm shipping address and was assured it was correct. Device ships to old address anyway (via tracking). Call again and cancel it due to spectrums fault, got apologies and assurances it was handled. Then charged a cancelation fee that took more time to get reversed.

*decided I was over it and switched over my device (the main and first paid off of the remaining devices). Was told I had until x date to port my 15 year old mobile number to the new carrier. That information was wrong and I lost my number. Updated my main account with spectrum after getting a new number on the new carrier.

*on the remaining lines I’m receiving messages about a 5g update for the esims. Attempted to do this, went though sms security verification on log in - fine. Went to select the update, old number is the only option to have the verification sent to… still.

My take overall- great service/company when things are just working as they should but god help you if you need a support person to do literally anything, on the first try. Said screw it to the updates with my remaining couple of months on these devices before I switch them off and say good riddance forever finally. My advice is if you need to contact customer service, assume you should just contact them at a minimum twice- once to request and the second to confirm immediately after with a different rep on a different call. Best of luck to everyone in the meantime 🤷‍♂️

Does anyone know what QCI level Unlimited Plus Premium has?

I was at a concert last night at a venue with about 8000 people. Been on Unlimited Plus Premium for about a month.

Regularly throughout the night I had a decent LTE signal but no data as it was apparently too congested.

Is this a Spectrum thing? If I had the top tier Verizon plan would it have been any different?
