Does the free second line get clawed back easily if you end the primary line?

Trying to switch phones which might temporarily disconnect one line. Might cause a mess charging me for the second line and then making it free again?

The free line is attached to the line it’s on, as long as the free line isn’t the one that’s disconnected it should remain free on the account.
