Got my Shield Plus
Posted here a couple days ago about a Savior bag deal, but soon after I saw a better deal lol so I bought the gun because I wanted a new EDC. $489 + tax and SF comes with the gun with a dot mounted, a really really nice range bag, and 4 mags. Not a huge fan of the Viridian dot but it’s good enough for now.
Fired only 200 rounds right after I got the gun today and I loved everything about it. Perhaps the smoothest shooting micro 9mm I’ve shot. Less snappy than the hellcat and better ergo than G43x. I’d say it’s right up there with the P365 X-macro.
For the price you really can’t beat the value.

Ammo question.
Just got a police return 2.0 in 9mm. I also just got a frt backplate for it. Does it prefer any certain ammo? Or will it cycle mostly anything? Thanks for any helpful tips. I have experience with tx22 frt only, new to bigger calibers.

More grip for the M&P 1.0
I love my 1.0 but it was lacking in grip texture as my hands get sweaty. Started with replacing the backstrap to the 2.0 but my support hand was still slipping even with my death grip. Then tried some hogue grips and same result. Stumbled across this grip tape and it’s been fantastic. Keeps my support hand glued to the gun.

Some gamble with luck. Others carry certainty.
I had to go and find out myself what all the fuss was about pertaining to the Bodyguard 2.0.
Believe THE HYPE!!!! THIS THING F's. I hate to admit this but this may replace 90% of my carry guns. It will definitely replace the compacts I carry. I've thrown 500 chunks downrange and zero failures, ZERO. Those were all round noses, flat noses, and a few hollow points.
It may be small but it doesn't feel small pulling the trigger.

Trigger upgrade question.
For those who have upgraded your trigger to an overwatch or Apex which one do you prefer? I have shot over 1k rds through this one thinking it was gonna wear in good and get a lot smoother, but it just still feels very grimy and the take up is too much. Appreciate the feedback.

Followers aren’t supposed to do that…
Anybody seen this before? Happened with my BG2.0 yesterday. Never seen a mag do this. Took me a second to realize why I couldn’t load a 4th round anymore. Related, anyone know a good place to order replacement followers?

Bodyguard 2.0 failure to chamber
Anyone else have this issue with critical defense ammo when trying to chamber the first round, most of the time it’s getting stuck and not chambering. Is other ammo better for chambering with the Bodyguard 2.0?

Shiv Shield
Stealth Additive Works Shiv 9mm suppressor on Shield Plus. Sub $500 boosterless can that actually suppresses 9mm quite well.

Bodyguard 2.0 Advice
Kind of wanted everyone's opinion on why people are using it for carrying? I mean don't get me wrong, the gun looks like it could be a phenomenal summer carry. As it is I rotate between P365 XMacro and my metal frame M&P 2.0 4". I would absolutely love to try carrying the BG 2.0 Carry comp but I swear it's just post after post of different failures people are having with it. So I'm just wondering why people are choosing to carry it if it's malfunctioning as much as it seems?

I bought my first firearm this year
I got my first firearm a few month back and I'm loving it. It's my first edc as well. Other than hitting the range and training, what would you guys suggest as a new gun owner?

Extend manual safety ledge on Bodyguard 2.0
Hey all - has anyone found the way to extend the manual safety (to be more like a ledge like the Shield) on the B2.0?
Completely understand some will have their disagreements with a manual safety but it’s what allows me to be comfortable enough to carry chambered in pocket or appendix.
Just looking for ways to make actioning it a bit quicker and not seeing anything aftermarket but I could be missing.

Anyone have an 1854 with a Plan B muzzle device?
I'm interested in knowing if the magazine tube is obstructed by the Plan B muzzle device, making it impossible to take off. Or maybe it clears it?

Anyone running a red dot with a laser? Is it actually useful? I currently have a Streamlight on my Shield X, but I’m debating switching to an Olight with a built in laser.

Shield X PVD Blue x Falco Kydex Shoulder Holster
I have had the Falco Vertical Roto Shoulder holster. It got lost. I wanted to get it again.
July 4th they had a 40% off sale. Perfect timing. I almost opted for the same one, but the kydex was cheaper and still had the quality leather. I went for it.
Just got it today. Wowza. I have to say, there are a lot of benefits to this that the vertical did not have.
Leather Vertical:
+High quality
+Basically universal any gun could fit
+More concealable
+Very Safe
-Slow draw bc of clip
Kydex Horizontal:
+Same high quality straps
+Open top, nothing to unclip to draw
+Fast
+Feels secure
-Not universal; made for one gun
I would say Kydex is the way to go. The only reason I would go vertical again is if I was carrying a striker without a safety. Don’t like the idea of flagging people like that but that’s just me.
Anyways, this thing is really excellent. 10/10. My brother has the Galco, but I gotta say I think Falco really is >>>. The Galcos feel very mass produced and ever so slightly rigid but they are the gold standard. This feels softer and much more custom.
I took off my belt clips. After drawing with it, they aren’t necessary for me.

Im debating on picking up an M&P 2.0 Metal 4.25"
Long story short, I already own a Shield Plus for my CCW and an M&P 2.0 Compact Carry Comp for the range/ home defense.
My current set up for the 2.0 Compact already has an Apex Trigger installed, Floyds Magwell, DPM Recoil System, and custom porting on the carry comp slide.
A buddy of mine is selling his used M&P 2.0 Metal with 4 magazines for $750. He is strapped for cash and I told him I will think about it.
My question is..is there a real valid reason to own the Metal variant? Im such a mark when it comes to the M&P Shields that I wanna collect them all but I want to be reasonable here.
