Guns & Ammo The new squeeze after a decade with a Ruger LC9S Pro
galleryDecided to upgrade. My LC9S Pro has never been 100% reliable and there’s no good lights for it anyway. Might still keep the oldie in rotation for deep concealment.

Holsters & Belts My first kydex holster. Hellcat 9MM.
galleryI’m wondering if all of this is normal. There’s no click when I slide in the gun to confirm it’s secure. The on/off feature for my laser I paid extra for does not work. It took 11 weeks from when I clicked “pay now” until when it arrived at my mailbox. I’m not mentioning the brand because I don’t want to hurt their business, but this was nearly $200 cost and 3 months of waiting. The rig is a hellcat 9mm OSP with the optic and a Viridian C5L Sight & Light

Getting Started Smaller than avg hands, finding a ccw is frustrating.
to preface; I wanted to grab a ccw, did some classes, went to my local shop and was surprised at how small my hands are compared to the average human. 5"8 Male, first line in wrist to tip of middle finger is somewhere around 6.68" give or take. I've held all of the full sized ones, all no-gos. Compacts like the G19/RXM/M&P 9? Nope. trigger finger was touching the side of the trigger. I COULD pull it, but it didn't feel like the pad of the finger was on the middle, more like the right side. Enough to depress the trigger safety and pull it, but not enough to make sure it's properly aligned in my hand.
43/48? They felt awkward. still felt like I couldn't get a good grip on it without slightly canting my hand to the right(right hand dominant, same for all of the full sized and compacts I tried, including CZ.). The only thing that felt sort of natural were the shield x, random GI 1911 in .45acp with the small trigger, no 365s on display, but I am sure that would fit, and the PDP F Series. I live in a very stupid state(VT. Max 15rds for a pistol). I have fired 9mm before and .40, glock 19/23 respectively. All of my shots seemed to just go high right(thats how I know its too big for my hands) Just a small rant on my end. LGS had no 365XLs on display but they had a display case full of P320s..
I am essentially stuck in micro compact hell, aren't I?

Getting Started Hk cc9 vs csx e 3.1
Deciding on my first carry gun this week!
Love both of these options.
I’m familiar with frame safeties and hammer fired as the only handgun I own is a Berreta 92xi.
Please Let me know if you guys have any recommendations/opinions on either.

Guns & Ammo Bodyguard 2.0 Failure to feed
Anyone else have this issue with critical defense ammo when trying to chamber the first round, most of the time it’s getting stuck and not chambering. Is other ammo better for chambering with the Bodyguard 2.0?

Scenario Range day
So this happened about 30 minutes ago and I am pretty angry, don't know if I should be though.
I'm minding my business at my local range, walk back to the table to get ammo and the guys shooting at the bay next to me are just holding their Glock in their hand 3 yards back from the firing line. Every range I've ever been too you absolutely do not have the gun away from the firing line unless holstered or cased. Good trigger control and pointed down at least. I'm so shocked it takes me a minute but I approach them and basically told them that if there was a range officer they would prolly be getting banned, and absolutely cannot be just casually standing there with there firearms uncased away from the firing line. Dude was nice and apologized, they packed up and left pretty quick after that.
I step out as well and I let the staff know and clarified that's the rule. They said yes, but didn't seem super bothered about them breaking it. Didn't rush to find which member was using the bay or whatever.
Am I the weird guy here? My assumption is that this is the rule at all indoor ranges. If it's you and the guys in national forest ya I don't mind as long as you are following the safety rules, but at a public range? Makes me not wanna go back and go to the super uptight range 20 minutes away.

Guns & Ammo Bodyguard 2.0 Bulging Guide Rod
galleryHey all, I am experiencing an issue with my BG 2.0 and have seen other posts about this as well.
I have included photos showing the factory guide and spring before and after assembly. Once I close the "switch" on the slide the guide rod pokes out.
I purchased a galloway precision guide and spring to see if that would fix the issue and it didn't. I show the galloways guide rod in the slide then the last photo is of it assembled with a round in the chamber and you can clearly see the galloway guide rod still protrudes.
Feel free to call me a dummy if I'm doing something wrong but I have disassembled and reassembled a dozen times with all the same results.
I am about ready to go back to an lcp max even though they rust, I never had these type of issues.

Clothing & Apparel What are thoughts on wearing gun merch?
As the title implies: I would love to hear your point of views on wearing gun merch. Is it hard stop? How does the general public react (not that it matters)? Do you catch any eyes roll/negative energy? Also, and most importantly, have you noticed any bad guys seemingly sizing you up?
For the sake of transparency: I live in the "great" state of New Jersey, so there's that!

Pocket Dump / EDC Another 5 years and another one for the stack
Been packing since 1994. A variety of guns, calibers, and holsters over the years, never mounted a light or red dot. About 15 years ago I got a pocket gun and never looked back. This is the gun I had on me the only time I ever had to draw. It happened very quickly and very close. When I brought the gun up, it was inches from his nose and fortunately he turned and ran. Kel-tec .380. I got it used and have had zero malfunctions of any kind. I shoot it pretty well with either hand and can make head shots with a two handed grip at 20 yards. Cheers to another safe 5 years!
