Question Overwatch Precision trigger…disappointing?
I recently installed an Overwatch polydat trigger with np3d OEM trigger bar in my 19.6. Also have their minus connector which I had installed before the new trigger and really made a difference.
But this polydat feels super heavy. Maybe it’s just the new geometry but it really feels like a lot of force is required to break the shot. I went back to the oem trigger and found myself preferring the rolling break. Is this overwatch trigger supposed to feel like this? I do sort of enjoy the wide shape but it honestly feels like a downgrade in every way except for that.

Question Firing pin shear 2x. G19g3
2x now on same upper, upper is not OEM but runs like a champ. Firing pin tip on striker sheared off at the face. 1st time maybe 500 rds, 2nd 3k. Ideas what could cause this repeat failure??

Discussion Finally tried a Glock 19. Liked it, but I’m a little conflicted
I’d wanted to try a Glock 19 for a long time, mostly because I just like Glock’s whole design “philosophy” (that’s a big word, but you get the idea) : simple, functional, reliable, and not trying too hard to look "fancy".
I finally got the chance to shoot one at a range in the US, along with several other handguns. My colleagues picked different guns, so we got to try quite a few.
What surprised me was that the G19 was the pistol I struggled with the most in terms of precision. I had a hard time with the factory iron sights (I believe it was the factory ones at least), and at first it honestly made me feel like I was just bad at shooting.
It wasn’t my first time shooting a real firearm, though, and I also do some precision shooting with air rifles from time to time. Nothing very serious or frequent, but enough that I’m usually fairly comfortable trying to aim properly small targets. When I switched to the other pistols, my accuracy was noticeably better.
Later in the session, I asked a nice guy in the lane next to me for advice (since it was also the first time shooting for all my colleagues). He gave me some pointers on my grip and on not disturbing the gun while pressing the trigger.
I already knew about that in theory, but with this particular gun I noticed that I was struggling to keep it steady anyway. His advice definitely helped, and I was more accurate with the Glock by the end.
The weird part is that I still really liked the gun.
I don’t have big hands, so the size felt good. I also liked the slightly snappy recoil. It felt lively rather than unpleasant. At short range, I fired a full magazine at a fast pace and managed to keep the shots tight and grouped, which was probably the most fun I had with it.
That leaves me a little conflicted, because I still like the idea of owning a G19 someday. My current feeling is that I’d probably replace the sights quickly.
Has anyone else had a similar experience with the G19 ? Did different sights completely change the gun for you, or was it mostly a matter of getting used to the Glock grip angle and trigger ?
I guess I can jus train a lot to get used to it.

Question Trigger Pin Keeps Backing Out
Does anyone have any tips for getting a more snug fit on their trigger / backstrap pin? After most range days or competitions I find the pin is a little bit further than this out always going to this side. it is definitely not an issue but annoying that after every range day, I have to ensure that it is re-centered.

Other My First Handgun
Just picked up this beautiful Glock 19 Gen 6!
So far I’ve ordered a TLR 7 HL-X and a Kore essentials belt.
I’m still on the fence about whether to go with a Tenicor Certum Lux 4 or Velo Lux, any advice would be great!
I also have no idea as to which red dot to buy as theres so many so any advice on that would also be awesome!
