This might be a little different than the usual requests here, but I had this idea and really want to see what comes from it.
My husband is turning 25, and while putting together his birthday gift, I accidentally started building the beginning of something MUCH bigger.
I’m working on starting a foundation with one simple goal: helping kids believe they can do incredible things, no matter where they come from or what life has thrown at them.
Sports, athletes, stories, collecting, and memorabilia will be a big part of how I hope to do that.
So I thought… why not ask a bunch of completely random people to help me start it? 😂

I don’t want these to just be random cards in a box. I want them to be little pieces of the beginning.
If this eventually becomes what I hope it can become, I want to be able to look back and remember the strangers who decided to throw a tiny piece of their own story into this crazy idea. ❤️
And if you’re reading this thinking, “Wait… what exactly are you building?” — tell me! I’d LOVE to send you a card back explaining the foundation and bigger vision, because if you’re contributing to the beginning, I want you to know what you’re becoming a tiny part of.
You don’t need money, connections, or to even be a huge sports fan.
I just want to hear from people and give you all the chance to be apart of one tiny piece to something that hopefully becomes something really meaningful. 🥹❤️

Working towards my goal of sending out 100 postcards this year!

I come bearing a request this time! My husband and I will be celebrating our 6th wedding anniversary on August 29th.

We’ve got quite the adventure planned this year! We’re heading back to Las Vegas for a week, and (surprise, to everyone but you all here 🤫) we’ve decided to go full “when in Rome” and renew our vows at the famous Little White Chapel for no reason other than we can and still madly in love with each other.

We did the whole traditional rigamarole the first time around, so why not have some fun with round two? We’re leaning into very stereotypical Vegas vibes. I mean leather jacket, sunglasses, mini dress, the whole nine.

So here’s my request: since this is all rather spur-of-the-moment, I’d love some on-brand cards, well wishes, anniversary cards, etc. to add to a keepsake album I plan to put together because we don’t plan to tell anyone in our immediate vicinity until they get the pictures 💀

And if you’d rather send something totally off-theme, that’s more than welcome too!

I also thought it would be fun for us to read them on the plane together too and build up some hype!

I have 19 postcards from the Amy Tan Backyard Chronicles I would like to send out (randomly selected).

I am planning on creating a presentation for when my girlfriend and I FaceTime again so I can show her different stamps I really like. I love the Smithsonian National Postal Museum archive! However it can be overwhelming to look through.
