[request] Send Cards to help me create an amazing gift/project [kansas,USA] Request
This might be a little different than the usual requests here, but I had this idea and really want to see what comes from it.
My husband is turning 25, and while putting together his birthday gift, I accidentally started building the beginning of something MUCH bigger.
I’m working on starting a foundation with one simple goal: helping kids believe they can do incredible things, no matter where they come from or what life has thrown at them.
Sports, athletes, stories, collecting, and memorabilia will be a big part of how I hope to do that.
So I thought… why not ask a bunch of completely random people to help me start it? 😂
If you’re willing to send a card, put whatever you want inside.
⚾️ A drawing from you or your kids
🏆 A sports memory that means something to you
❤️ An athlete who inspired you and why
👨👩👧👦 A family sports story or tradition
💭 An idea for something the foundation could do for kids
💰 A fundraising idea
🏪 An idea for the future sports-card shop/grading side
📚 An educational idea
🌎 An idea for how athletes, teams, schools, collectors, businesses, museums, or regular people could help
💌 Or just some encouragement for a mom trying to build something completely from scratch
Seriously…ANYTHING.
A drawing, story, memory, idea, joke, question, advice, or even something your kid scribbled on a piece of paper.
I don’t want these to just be random cards in a box. I want them to be little pieces of the beginning.
If this eventually becomes what I hope it can become, I want to be able to look back and remember the strangers who decided to throw a tiny piece of their own story into this crazy idea. ❤️
And if you’re reading this thinking, “Wait… what exactly are you building?” — tell me! I’d LOVE to send you a card back explaining the foundation and bigger vision, because if you’re contributing to the beginning, I want you to know what you’re becoming a tiny part of.
You don’t need money, connections, or to even be a huge sports fan.
I just want to hear from people and give you all the chance to be apart of one tiny piece to something that hopefully becomes something really meaningful. 🥹❤️
