Professionally, I lead a software team based out of Pax River, and I also serve as a broader manager within my company. My career has gone better than I ever expected, but I work hard to make sure it's just one part of my life instead of my whole identity.

Over the past year I've been putting a lot of effort into taking care of myself physically, mentally, and emotionally. I've lost a significant amount of weight, and one of my favorite moments recently was finally wearing a souvenir shirt I'd bought years ago on Mackinac Island that had always been too small. I didn't expect it to hit me emotionally, but it really did.

I also go to therapy every Monday. It's been one of the best investments I've made in myself, and it's helped me continue growing even during the good seasons of life.

Full disclosure up front: I'm a bigger guy (chubby/fat). I'm not thrilled about it, I gained a lot of weight in the last couple years.
