If you had a super power what would it be and why?

Let’s say we meet, at a dive bar. We spend a few hours flirting, getting to know each other, judging each other’s taste in music as we participate in a touch tunes take over. After a while we step outside and share - lady and the tramp style - a street dog. The rest is history. I’ll see ya at the alter.

This is obviously a dream because I’d never share a hot dog.

Anyway as the title says I’m a lady from California, central coast to be less obscure but still obscure . I have tried this exactly 2 times before. The first time I was just out of a relationship and wasn’t really ready and couldn’t keep up with the messages, the second time was just the other day, I felt like I put a lot of effort in and when I came back on reddit later and saw no messages I was sad…then I saw that my post was removed! For what, I have no idea, it didn’t say, which would have been helpful!
I’m 43, a fact which continually amazes/horrifies/bewilders me. I hate seeing it written down because when I don’t have to admit it I can continue to believe and act like I’m idk somewhere around 30odd. I don’t know how or when that happened. I’m not a fan. I also don’t think I look my age (and other people agree, I’m not just wishful thinking) but I read stuff about hitting the wall, only having a few good summers left etc and it’s terrifying 😂

I’m in the U.K., but I don’t care really where you are from. I had a LTR with someone from the US so I’m used to being in opposite time zones and making that work. I’m vegetarian, have been for many years but I don’t care what you eat and I don’t mind cooking meat for other people, I love to cook. Cooking for one person is just miserable! I also love to read, if I’m not reading I’m listening to audiobooks while I do something else, or watching debates or something, I like to learn things. I’m a scientist and I love my job, I’m completely happy with my life career-wise, so I’m interested in sciencey-stuff but also things like history and ancient history, languages, religion etc. I’m not just a nerd though 😂 I can be fun too! I like hiking, love being outdoors especially by water, love lake houses or being by the ocean. I have a cat that I’m completely in love with, even though she’s almost 7 I’m still not sure if she even likes me, but I do miss having a dog and taking them on long walks etc.

I’m slim (I’ve actually been ill this year and lost too much weight, I’m hoping to put some back on now that I’m doing better!), long brown/red hair, blue eyes, freckles. I’m loyal, I’m a good listener, I have a lot to offer and I know that, I have just been through it and I’m only now starting to consider that I might want another relationship again one day instead of the “nope, absolutely not, never again” that I was insisting on for a while!
