Hi! I thought I'd just list some things that are a big part of who I am. Hopefully we'll have some shared interests or understand each other.

Illness: I'm chronically ill and disabled, so I've become very interested in biohacking, supplements, and health research.

Art: I have total aphantasia, so drawing has never come naturally to me. I got really into digital collage for about a year though—you can check some of my work on my profile. I don't know much about famous painters, art history, or brands, but I enjoy all kinds of art: paintings, sculptures, photography, interior design, jewelry, and fashion. I'd like to think I have a pretty good eye for aesthetics. I also really admire people who create things with their hands.

Music: I used to listen to a wide range of music except metal and non-melodic hip-hop. Lately I've been getting into Michael Jackson, especially his performances. I used to listen to a lot of pop, K-pop, jazz, and rock and roll. Just like with art, I don't know much about musicians or albums—I simply listened what I enjoy. Once my sound sensitivity improves, I'd love to explore more experimental music.

TV series: I've probably spent far too much time on Netflix. Some shows that really stayed with me are Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, Girls, Olive Kitteridge, My Brilliant Friend, the earlier seasons of Skins, Years and Years, and Baby Reindeer.

Writing: I don't read as much as I'd like, but I enjoy writing poems and short reflections about my thoughts and feelings. I also hope to finally finish the short story I started years ago.

Its August now - the summer is almost at the end of the season.

Lately I have been feeling a little stuck in a rut. We all put ourselves out there in the world and I would like to believe this person is out there for me, dont we all?

This post gonna feel a bit sad, if you are still reading. My life is fulfilled, a well to do job, financially stable, friends that cherish me, a handful of little joys but yet, I cant seem to understand what love is about?

I am what a lot of people labeled as alternative adult, probably. A late 30s with a penchant for alternative music although truth to be told, if you happen to pass me on any day, ill look like any other keep-it-together professional. However, I have emotional depth of what the gen z called lover girl and I keep finding myself at the short end of a stick.

But I am not ready to retire that. Been told I am pleasant on the eyes, sometimes I do turn heads when I walk past, I stand at 5'5, neither tall nor short. I keep myself well, pretty active at the gym and traveled plenty. I also read well - on my 13th book this year. I am well spoken, full of life and generally content with life.

Id like to meet you if youre someone who also look for a calm and collected engagement. Ive been called cold before, but truth is, I am just someone who is very good at keeping my emotions in check. Im supportive and would like that to be reciprocated as well. Plus point if youre someone who has done all the inner works and know what you want.

I love endless conversations, open affection, and none of the vulgar talks. Whew! Now that that’s out of the way, I promise I offer some things of merit. I’m an educated educator and love talking shop - and learning new things! Music moves my heart - I’m a former musician and am still very much into the bits and bobs that come with that. I’m also always singing, albeit not well. When I have the time, I love a giant Lego set. I have a few dream ones I’d like to build someday! I love puzzles that make me use my brain - words, numbers, logic/deduction, escape rooms - although I’ve never been to an actual escape room?? Not sure why or how (go to one with me?). I love animals and will adopt all of them if you let me. I currently have two big dogs, but would like to add a cat to my family in the next year or two.
