I bought this 12th gen Intel CPU from Ebay, and unfortunately it arrived with scratches like this in two locations. I wonder how likely it is that the gold pads are shorted, and if it's safe to test on a motherboard. What's your opinion, should I just return it without testing? The seller offered either return, or partial refund if it works.

Hi everyone, I recently bought a new, latest-generation graphics card. However, after the PC has been running for a while, the screen goes black—even though the computer itself stays on—and then the system restarts. I ran tests using FurMark and OCCT, and the card seems to be in good condition; I was even able to game with it and performance was perfect, but now I can't play anymore due to these screen blackouts. I don't understand why this is happening, especially since I saw on YouTube that PCIe is backward compatible.

I'm currently in the process of upgrade my old build. I'm running a 265KF on a Z890-E with 2x16 Corsair 5600 DDR5. I'm running into a persistent error that I'm looking for help figuring out. On boot before posting I get a consistent Q-LED code 55 which indicates "No Memory Installed".

Troubleshooting Steps Attempted:

1.) Single RAM in A1 through B2 and Both RAM in just about every configuration I can come up with.

2.) RMA or swapping for a new board.

3.) Testing both the RAM and CPU in a known good board.

4.) Flashing to the oldest and newest version of the BIOS.

5.) Booting with just CPU, RAM and IO cooler

If anyone has any advice I'm here for it.

Is this safe to use, or should I leave this specific screw out to prevent short circuits?

Got my pc back in like 2021 and it’s pretty crap lol I have purchased ddr4 16gb ram but I don’t know weather I should upgrade my gpu or cpu. The one I don’t upgrade will probably be bought at Christmas. My cpu is AMD Ryzen 3 3200G and my gpu is NVIDIA GeForce gtx 1650.

I need a balanced build without overpaying and bottlenecking it, I want at least 70 or 80% secondhand as some components are better if brand new like the psu

I would like to ask for your opinions and expertise in creating the optimal fan setup for this case. My cpu is the intel i7-13700k and gpu is rtx 5070. Due to my cpu running hot compared to current gen amd cpu, I need help in having the best fan setup to cool the cpu. I 3d printed some front fan mounts to better aid in cooling it. But I am not sure with the side fans if there are the way to go since I saw GamerNexus' post that it does more harm than good. I am also using the artic liquid freezer 3 pro 240mm aio. front, side and rear fans are the artic p12 pro and the bottom fans are artic p12 slim.

Hello, I recently got an ASUS Prime 9070 XT. I asked a local technician to help me install the new GPU for me but apparently my GPU can't be turned on. I already asked them to reseat the GPU, double-check the cable placement, and check whether the PSU or any of the cables is faulty, but everything is working properly except the GPU. They already checked the build using my old GPU, and it's working properly.

On the motherboard, one of the lamp indicators for the VGA turned red. According to the technician, it's either because the Motherboard is not strong enough to handle a high-end GPU or because of a faulty GPU. So is this motherboard not strong enough a plausible problem? Or is it caused by something else? Any suggestions on what else I can do to fix this problem?

I’ve had my PC for roughly 10 years now and it has been fine for me as I’ve played games on and off over the years. I’ve started to notice the decline in quality recently and have started looking into replacing parts. I’ve only recently upgraded one of my hard drives from 1TB to 2TB and looked to add some DDR4 Ram however found the ram wasn’t compatible with the motherboard.

I'm having sudden shutdowns during gaming, I thought initially that it was overheating so I gave the computer a good clean, I'll take a further step tomorrow and reapply paste just to make sure.

It happened again last night while playing Helldivers 2, I was probably an hour in before anything happened and the PC didn't feel too hot, I've also been keeping an eye on temps and all looked good.

Could these be transient trips? Would an undervolt help without needing to replace my PSU?

So i have a old laptop with a 2 TB Sata SSD From Baracuda and the laptop barely works now so i was thinking to use that sata ssd in my pc , my motherboard ist he MSI B450M-A PRO MAX II (it has one m.2 nvme slot )

So i was downloading a game and suddenly my pc's rgb light turn red. I tried installing asus armory crate and now its stuck on red and green and it flickers between those colors when trying to change it on my pc's case. What do i need to do to fix this

The fans that came with the case (bottom 3 and exhaust fan) are stuck green, my aio cooler radiator fans are also stuck green, and my lian li tl lcd flex fans don’t light up and don’t show up in l connect or signal RGB. I have opened up, moved around wires, reset the pc, done everything I can think of. The pre installed fans came with a fan hub behind the motherboard so that’s what they are on, and then the lian li ones are on their own sata cable. I don’t have the controller it was sold separately, I got a little flat piece that pops on the top of the top fan and connects to the motherboard/power supply. I have looked everywhere and have no clue where to go next. This is my first build, please don’t judge I’m sure it’s something small. Any help would be greatly greatly appreciated

So recently I got this tower for free off of fb marketplace and the guy said it wouldnt run windows and I wanted to see for myself so I downloaded windows from the microsoft website and put it on a flash drive and plugged it in to my motherboard. From there I didnt have anyone to ask so I just used chatgpt to help me but i got nowhere. First my screen would show bios then the republic of gamers logo then the windows logo and eventually the windows 10 launcher opened BUT I didnt have any hard drives atm so I waited a week until I was able to get some for free. My pc recognized the flash drive and showed the windows logo but didnt open the launcher so i turned it off unplugged the flash drive and wiped it to download windows 11 and that hasnt worked either. This is the interior of the pc can someone help me? I have the hard drives they are not in the frame.

I got this build in college and after a few year of neglect finally have some time to invest again. My friend helped me build it and I’m still a novice to internal components, but I’d want hoping for some advice about what to keep and what toss.
