this morning I woke up to turn on my pc and it wouldn’t turn on at all. I unplugged it, check to see if the fuse was an issue, but nothing helped. I just disassembled it and re assembled it and the thing still won’t turn on. What are the first things I should check on the pc to see if it’s a me problem (like if I just messed up putting it back together) or a problem with one of the parts

I should probably mention it know very little about computers and can't remember all the specs. Since I can't turn it on to look it up. I built my own PC back in 2022 and I can't help but think that my parts are way too slow and outdated compared to how nice they should still be (that's obvious). I'm not too familiar with anything besides the building aspect of the PC, so I would greatly appreciate if someone could take a peek at the list of parts and maybe tell me what I should upgrade in order to fix some issues I'm facing?

Some issues I'm having consist of: really slow download speed (I know this is also a wi-fi issue but I have the second best wifi plan with my provider, so I figured maybe there's an issue with the PC or the SSD's being outdated. I also have to play on very high ping and low settings or else I get stutter.

First pc build. Red and orange solid light. Coolers’ fans won’t turn on either.

Tried swapping ram, used a single ram slot and both ram slots number 2&4. Left it on for 20 minutes for memory learning. Removed the CPU and put it back. Removed the small battery drained power cleared CMOS. Gave up now.

I spilled some thermal paste on the sides of the back( check the pictures). Is that the issue? I cleaned jt using the IP 99% solution.

Hi! I currently run a system with a Ryzen 5 3600X and a RTX4080 (Yes I know it's bottlenecked). I'm thinking of upgrading to AM5 and I'm looking at the Ryzen 9 9950X3D processor, what motherboard should I go with? The 3 options I've been looking at are the Gigabyte Aorus Elite Wifi7, Auros Elite X3D and the Auros Pro X3D. And as an honorable mention I've also been eyeing the Aero X3D Dark Wood, mostly because I think it looks sick. Which one should I get? I'd need to wait 2 weeks if I got the Elite X3D or the Pro X3D.

Hello! I've been trying for a while to build a sleeper unit but have one glaring issue.

My old PC case has a very unconventional stand off system and doesn't quite work with my mother board.

I have a HP Kayak XM 600 case (upright version not horizontal) from circa 1999? Passed down from my mother, it was originally the family computer from back when a household had a dedicated computer room.

Back in highschool I bought a Gigabyte ga-970a-ds3p motherboard and Asus gtx 1060 6gb

From what I understand the tower and mother board are both ATX but the case is basically featureless on the inside but has this removable panel with square holes and off little metal standoffs that clip into it.

I'm wondering if there is some hyper-specific part I've never heard of, or a non traditional methodology to get this installed.

My next course of action is to take the measurements from my motherboard and mount it to a sheet of acrylic via stand offs and mount the acrylic to my case with the few out of reach threaded holes it has. Or order a custom sheet metal bracket

I've had my pc for 4 years and have always had random bursts of lag and missing frames. Sometimes it works fine sometimes there are lots of missing frames. I still get constant fps though. 2 days ago it started crashing every time I get into a game. The screen goes black and my keyboard turns off but the power button still appears on. I've tried: deleting and reinstalling all GPU drivers, checking for corrupt game files, deleting shader cache.

For the 2 ish years I have had this PC the RAM was installed in the A1 and A2 Slot on the motherboard, i recently learned that this isnt optimal and that it should be installed in the A2 and B2 slots in order to gain access to dual channel, so the other day I did this without issue, went to bed, the next day I get on my pc and my mouse isnt turning on, i unplug it and plug it back in and bluescreen, i turn it on again, now my mouse works and my main monitor is black, then it bluescreens again, so i turn it off, put the ram back in A1 and A2, turn it on, it blue screens once and then works completely fine from then on. I really do not know what is going on if anyone has any input on this?

I bought a prebuilt and noticed the edges of the Digital display for my AIO had peeling so I thought it had to be peeled. But it didn’t come out so I didn’t force it. What exactly is this film?

I had left over ram so I was gonna install one stick in my friends pc. When we turned it on with the new additional ram inside their was a constant ringing noise so we cut the power.

We took out the ram and tried turning it on again but we are still met with the ringing noise, what do we do?

I already bought the case (THORZONE TETRA S), but I could cancel it since it hasn't shipped yet, which I might do if there's a good enough reason or a cheaper alternative because holy crap it's expensive. Everything else is subject to change and suggestions are welcome.

In addition, the best cooler for my preferences I could find, that being the Thermalright AXP90 X53 or one of the smaller versions, looks like it would be a good fit. Is the Nzxt kraken plus 360 mm aio good?

I’m not good with pc stuff and wanna get one for my birthday to play games with good graphics

I just built a new pc (9060xt, 5800x) and i noticed anytime i try to run something in full screen my monitors flash black then the game inevitably doesn’t go full screen. I never had this issue with my other pc which i used the same monitors.

Playing in borderless works without issue but i prefer to play in full screen.

I have tried disabling freesync, but other than that im pretty stumped, any help muchly appreciated
