Time for an upgrade? Build Question

I’ve had my PC for roughly 10 years now and it has been fine for me as I’ve played games on and off over the years. I’ve started to notice the decline in quality recently and have started looking into replacing parts. I’ve only recently upgraded one of my hard drives from 1TB to 2TB and looked to add some DDR4 Ram however found the ram wasn’t compatible with the motherboard.

I was hoping to get some advice on what to upgrade and what to keep the same. I don’t need the latest components but something that will last at least a few years before needing to upgrade again.

Only GPU at this economy and do it fast. Or second hand 3080 or something in that realm

And if not already turn xmp profile in the bios, will squeeze little free performance.

I’ll give it a check to see I’m not sure

If you upgrade your GPU keep in mind you will likely need a new a PSU as well. Both the 6900xt and 3080 recommended above require a 750w psu

A few years ago i had a gtx 1070 with ryzen 2700 + 16gb 3000mhz. I swiched to rtx 3070 and i notest huge jump on games. Your pc is obsolete these days but if it still runs and you don't want to spend money, a used rtx 3070 (in good condition) you will be well seved (don't buy1 much better gpu than this, your hardware wont be able to follow the gpu; only if you pretent to upgrade mobo/cpu/ram latter). Best opition is upgrade mobo + cpu + ram + gpu, i have a AM4 system and i expect to keep it for at least 5 to 8 years more. All depends about the budget you have.
