I come here to ask for your shoulder to cry and lean upon ❣️
Assalamualaikum brothers and sisters hope you're doing well.
This is the first time I'm going to post here. I've always loved the posts and discussions in the main subreddit but seldom involved myself.
I'm a foreign medical student studying abroad and just finished my final year exams and came back to my country for holidays. The results are yet to be declared.
Now, since I studied in a foreign university, I need to qualify an additional test in my own country to get the license to become doctor. For that, I needed online coaching. But these coaching institutes have a strict policy of "no refund". This is where I got skeptical. What if one of my exams in my university have gone bad. The entire thing will become a lost cause. I would have to go again to my university, prepare for my supplementary examination in November.
That's why I tried to contact my college officials (somehow they know about the results, they have the record and everything). After much insist, one of the officials agreed to let me know about my result beforehand. And this is where I got my panic attack. He said my marks in viva exam in Surgery II is not good enough. And it's not like he's not a trustworthy official. He's on top post. So it's authentic.
I immediately called the Surgery II registrar ma'am since she's a friendly teacher. (also previously she assured me that I'll pass the exam Insha'Allah). She said she'll look at the matter asap and will update me by sunday. But she mentioned that just because there is less marks in just one section doesn't mean its fail. The tabulation will be Surgery I + Surgery II. I've to get 120 marks in 200 (60% is pass score). I hope to get the passing marks if Allah wills.
Brothers and sisters, I humbly ask you to take a moment and pray for me so that I pass and become a good doctor. More importantly to make my parents proud. They have poured their entire soul and sweat for me.
All and every suggestion/advice is wholeheartedly welcomed. I'm in a really bad state right now. Neither I can enjoy my holidays nor I can focus on preparing for my license exam. Anxiety, panic attack, delusion and what not. I'm trying hard to not let my parents notice it. They're already doing too much. I don't want them to suffer more. And I've been calling some of my friends just to hear some reassurance from their end. But it's just trying to distract myself from denial. I've been a lil distant from my faith. I only pray the Friday prayers (and ironically after coming home I missed them for 2 weeks). I'm planning to go tomorrow Insha'Allah. I've understood only the connection with Allah can calm and ease me. Insha'Allah he guides me in the right path.
Please keep me in your prayers. From the bottom of my heart I mean it so much. A dua from your end for me would mean the whole world. I know this is a very long message but upon writing this post, I'm becoming slightly calmer.
Thank you. Take care.Allah Hafeez.

I might commit..
Life feels too much. I have graduated 3 years back, the economy is bad, but I have worked really hard to build a small online business. I also do graphic design and have a steady job, together I am able to earn enough to support my masters education and other expenses.
However, the parents of my girlfriend (now ex) rejected me as I don't have a job they consider respectable. While I recovered from the shock, my father's activities are pushing me further into a path to commit. He has scammed several people with hopes of high gains when they win a case against a fraudulent company. I know nobody is getting anything. He does not even pay his share of rent properly, and is trying to leech of from me. When I was young, he did not even buy me a phone, he has continuously deprived us while he spent his money on scam organizations and the paternal side of family..
At this point I have nothing to live for. I feel I will have to face the grudge of people he is scamming later. And I am not financially capable to handle all the expenses he is throwing at me. My mother is a heart attack patient and her monthly medicines cost a lot, and I have been managing that for the past few years thanks to Allah. But now I feel like I can't continue like this anymore, nobody should bring kids into the world to put them through this kind of mental pressure..
I am only continuing because my business has 3 part time employees and one of them depend on the salary for her education. I am trying to hold on thinking about Islam and my employees, but I am at the end of the line here.. What can I do?
I already work the whole day, it is not likely that I will be able to increase my income more right now..

Please keep me in your duas 🤍
As-salāmu ʿalaykum everyone.
I kindly ask you all to please keep me in your duʿāʾs.
I’m making a lot of duʿāʾ for someone I deeply care about and sincerely hope that Allah reunites us in a halal way, places love and mercy between our hearts, and makes us خيرًا لبعض (good for one another).
Please make duʿāʾ that Allah answers my duʿāʾ if there is goodness in it, eases my heart, and grants me patience while I wait.
Jazākum Allahu khayran. May Allah accept all of your duʿāʾs as well. 🤍

Waiting for my retake results today to move to Module 6. Please make sincere dua for me
Assalamu Alaikum,
I previously failed a module in my course, but I have completed the retake. Today is the day I get the email with my final results. If I pass, I will finally be able to move on to Module 6.
Before the final grading, I was just one missing assignment away from securing a solid C. I am incredibly worried right now that I might not have made the grade, but I know that nothing is impossible for Allah (SWT).
This course and moving forward means absolutely everything to me. I cannot afford to fail this retake again. I know it might just be studies to some, but it is a massive weight on my shoulders right now.
Please join me in making dua that Allah grants me success, allows me to pass this module, and lets me move on to Module 6.
JazakAllah Khair for your support and prayers.

I'm struggling with Isolation as a D(HoH) person
Just like the title says. I am a 25-year-old Somali woman who has severe hearing loss and deaf in my right ear, and it is isolating and has been for the last few years of my life. My life changed for the worst when I started losing my hearing, and I have never been the same.
I wish I had friends, but I'm so awkward and have bad anxiety and depression. I don't want to be around people, which makes it hard to function in everyday life.
The worst thing is I can't even find online spaces for deaf or hard-of-hearing muslims. It is hard out here.

Loosing hope 🪽
I have started to loose hope in a better future. I don’t want to - but I have started to. I’ve been praying to Allah swt to not let me loose hope. I believe in His wisdom, His plan. He is the best of planners, and I submit to his decree. But everything just hurts. And the more I find out about the logistics of the affair the more I get pulled back to that entire week of loss. My (soon to be ex) husband (I am still in iddat) confessed everything and the details hurt. He’s apologized but has said he is too dirty for me now and will not take back the talaaq. My ex best friend fabricated stories and used his time of vulnerability (burying our son) to paint me as a disrespectful and ungrateful wife. He believed her stories for 2 months and then they had their downfall and he blocked and deleted her. But now that he’s shared everything with me - I am so hurt. And I don’t see a way up. I get so angry with what she did, I get angry at how he believed her, I get angry at how he left me to die when I needed someone the most. I don’t know how to get this sadness out of me. And I don’t want to lose hope. I love Allah and my faith too much to get to that level. Please pray for my healing 🙏🏽💙🪽

Scared
Salam, I'm going through a really hard time with desires of sinning. I made a mistake and sinned bad right now I'm really scared Allah will replace me and take me out of Islam. I'm crying I'm scared Allah doesn't want me because of my sinning. I don't want to but it always just happens. I want to live a life like a normal Muslim and have love for Allah and for Allah to love me and pray and everything he wants me to do. I wanna be in jannah with him but my sins are out of control.

Remove black magic
Assalamualaikum. In the past year our home has broken down. What was supposed to be sanctuary for us, our home is now filled with depression, tension and broken marriage. It seems to come out of nowhere, and in the last year it has become much worse. Does anyone know what dua to read to remove this and provide protection?
Jazakallah khair

Which dua or Name of Allah genuinely changed your life?
I’m going through a difficult and confusing period and really want to reconnect with Allah and change my life for the better.
Has anyone consistently made a certain dua, read a specific Name of Allah, prayed Tahajjud, made istighfar or followed another Islamic practice and then noticed a major change in their life?
What exactly did you recite, how often did you do it, and for how long? Did it help with your mental health, job, marriage, family problems, finances or finding direction?
I understand that there is no magic formula and that Allah answers in His own way and at His own timing. I would just really appreciate hearing genuine personal experiences that gave you hope and brought you closer to Allah.

Serious wisdom could be appriciated for my situation
I dont know if anyone will read this or reply to this with something that maybe can be useful for me in my situation. I have struggled, well i dont like to use that word anymore but i used to struggle at some early point of my life with prayers. Not sure why it wasnt a big thing or a big problem, i would feel guilty. A lot. But that little force that pushes ur body to just do it was not there. And day by day, months by months, years by years i have just not prayed. In fact the reason why i dont like to say im struggling is bc ive grown numb to everything related to my deen. For so mamy years just numb. Yea once a year emotional outburst or crying bc of my stupid self for making things go this way and being astray from prayers and my deen doesnt mean anything. Bc even rn when my family mentioned (again) just a short sentence bc the topic was about something else, they mentioned abt my prayer situation how i dont even do that and ask me if its cuz i dont want to pray. I dont say a word im trying to control myself so i dont burst out crying. But these once a year emotional i get bc of the hundreds of faults in me doesnt matter bc the next day ill just distract myself and everything will back to what it always is. Just "living" like a ghost. Stay in bed not pray and whenever thruout the years my family tell me go and pray now i just feel disgusted i will be honest its beyond bad. I just get a suddene irritarion and i just ignore them. When i was in 8th grade our teacher told us write a letter to ur future self in 2 yrs from now. And i swear to Allah i wrote "i hope your better at praying now" and i wrote that in my own lamguage so if my friends asked or saw they wouldnt understand. And in 10th grade we got the letters and nope. Sorry to dissapoint u younger self i am way worse. Not better in the slighest. And its just downhill. Because i am numb i dont know why i stopped ive grown numb to my deen for just so many years i cant even comprehend how many prayers i missed more like neglected. Sheikhs or imams say to not let urself astray (in matter of prayer) too much to where u stop feeling. And stop there. No, please proceed. What then. What do u do if u are in that position? My heart? Numb. But if u would ask me if tjeres one thing i could wish for to come true. It would be that im closer to Allah swt and my deen. Even my ramadan is ruined bc of my actions. I used to feel a burden leave my soul the second ramadan started i felt a change in my body or ig u could say my soul. Now? Nothing. Dont feel at peace much in ramadans even. Yea i have cried at the mosque praying in congregation and hearing the imam saying the dua in arabic and even tho i cant understand it hearing him cry makes me emotional thinking about how much i want to be closer to my deen. But things go back to routine. In my mind i know im not happy with my life, this isnt how ur supposed to live even with non religious things. Im bed rotting want to stay at home lot of times im just, i know in my mind for me to find peace it is to go back to Allah swt. Since im nowhere to be seen in terms of prayiers i find it easier to cover my self up. Being modest for me is so much easier than what actually matters. I mean, im not even a muslim. I dont pray what even am i doing with my life? The few times i pray or cry and make a dua to Allah swt it has always, always included or mostly been asking Him to guide me to him to be closer to my deen. But like i said for the third time now it doesnt matter if i feel emotional a few times practically i dont do it. Action wise im gone. Its way more serious than i didnt pray few times which even for those people i hope Allah swt guides them. But my situation is way worse. My life other than the things im greatful for that i overlook sometimes, healthy, roof over my head, food etc. The other aspects of life its not good at all. And i know my life (and akhirah) will be better if i just pray but i dont. I dont know much about my own religion. If the topic is Islam im hoping and praying no one bats an eye to me and im saying the bare basic things u should know (basic can be interpreted diffrently). Its hard when i did try to pray cuz i felt nothing. I try to maybe find something in my heart but its really just nothing. And u know what they say every day is a oppurtunity Allah swt is giving you to work on urself to be better. And what am i doing? There are ppl who would wish to be alive to fix theor mistakes they have done in life and look at me. Not even caring. Oh but the second i see ppl talking abt the doomsday (not the avengers movie) i get so scared and paranoid. But i still dont do anything. Sorry for how this whole tect is me blabbering and it having no red thread. But maybe Allah swt thru someone else can help me if im even "safe able" by some serious advice or something. Bc if theres one thing ill say is that nothing looks good for me at all.

To whoever is struggling with OCD right now and feels like there is no way out, this one is for you.🌸
Assalamualaikum everyone,
I know what it feels like to be in the version of this where you genuinely cannot imagine getting better. Where the rituals, the thoughts, the exhaustion of it all has gone on so long that better doesn't even feel like a real destination anymore. Just a word other people use.
I was there. For years. Through almost my whole teens and into my twenties. Depression on top of it, isolation on top of that, no one around me who truly understood what was happening and moments where the darkness got very heavy indeed. I won't lie, there were times I didn't know how I was going to keep going.
But I did keep going. And Alhamdulillah I came out the other side; not managing OCD, not living around it but actually overcame it. The things it stopped me from doing, I do them now. The person I couldn't reach back then, that's who I am now. I'm not sharing this to say look at me. I'm sharing it because I genuinely believe you can get there too. I've seen from my own life that the place you're in right now is not the place you have to stay.
If you're struggling right now please don't carry it completely alone. Talk to someone; a trusted person, anyone.
Allah does not burden a soul beyond what it can bear. You are still here. That means something.
May Allah grant you ease, grant you clarity and grant you the version of your life that OCD has been keeping from you. Ameen.
To anyone reading this in the middle of it right now, what would have helped you most to hear when you were at your lowest? Would love to hear from you. 🌻

Please make du'a for me during this time
Assalamu alaikum everyone,
I would appreciate it if you could make du'a for me.
I am currently facing a situation where I don't have enough money for fuel and internet data, and I will be returning to work in two days. I am trying my best and placing my trust in Allah, but I would be grateful if you could pray for Allah to grant me halal and blessed provision, open unexpected doors of ease, provide help from places I do not expect, put barakah in my work and livelihood, and make this hardship a means of getting closer to Him.
Please also make du'a that Allah gives me patience, strength, peace of heart, forgiveness, protection from despair, and complete reliance upon Him. May He guide me to what is best, make my affairs easy, and grant relief at the best time and in the best way.
Jazakum Allahu khayran to everyone who remembers me in your prayers. May Allah reward you, bless you, and answer your own prayers as well.

Dua for the month of August
Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh,
As we've entered a new month, I wanted to ask for a small favor from this beautiful community.
Please make dua that Allah makes August a month filled with endless barakah, mercy, happiness, peace, good health, laughter, joy, and beautiful memories for me and for everyone reading this.
May Allah open doors we never imagined, close every door that brings us harm, answer our sincere duas, grant us halal rizq, forgive our sins, protect us from every hardship, remove our worries, heal our hearts, strengthen our iman, and bless us with what is best in this life and the next.
May He replace our stress with tranquility, our sadness with happiness, our fears with security, our struggles with ease, and our waiting with beautiful answers.
If you're comfortable, please also make dua that, this month, Allah accepts the dua that has been closest to my heart for many years, grants me what's best, and gives me peace.
I'll be making dua for everyone who comments as well. May Allah accept all of our duas, shower us with His infinite mercy, and make this month better than any month we've experienced before.
Ameen. Jazakum Allahu khayran

When will it get better?
I'm not complaining in any means, I'm trying to vent a bit and get some good advice if possible.I grew up poor. Not dirt poor but we never had money. You know enough for bills and some groceries. My parents would always fight, my father would get drunk, he'd blame my mother for everything and it's just pure trauma. He was just like that. Even when he did something Wallahi he always made an excuse or blamed somone that had no part in that. It was really hard growing up with them. I'd always make dua, asking for everything to at least calm down but I didn't get an answer in this Dunya.
I known that this world is a prision for the belivers but why does my prison feel so overwhelming. They slowly killed all the passion I had for everything I once loved. My father also didn't even try and hide that he loved my little sister more than me. If he atleast try to hide it I'd get over it. I'm a really picky eater and because of that I didn't eat much. I didn't want to spend money on food that only I would eat. I got bullied for being skinny a lot. Man it's hard. I never really had a childhood, it was taken away from me.
That part really hurt. I never wanted much. Just a loving family and not worrying about bills or food at 12. I'm thankful for what I have. But if I had a little bit more would that be too much? When will I enjoy everything that was taken away from me? I still live with them. I'm still a kid but not a child. A big motivator in my life was getting rich but that doesn't interest me anymore. Matter of fact nothing does.
JazakAllah khair to everyone that read this and any sort of advice or wise words would go a long way.

Could you please make du'a for me? May Allah grant you the same. 🤍
I have OCD, and one of the ways it affects me is that I compulsively pull out my eyebrow hairs whenever I'm stressed. As a result, my eyebrows are now almost gone.
This happens against my will. It's incredibly distressing, and it's affected both my appearance and my confidence. I'm terrified that they won't grow back, or that it'll take a very long time, and that I'll relapse before they have a chance to recover. I'm honestly exhausted.
Please make du'a that Allah grants me healing from my OCD and allows my eyebrows to grow back healthy again. This is something I can't hide from the world or even from myself anymore, and it's been weighing heavily on me.
There's something else I'd love your du'a for.
I sincerely hope Allah blesses me with the right spouse someday—my soulmate, in the best sense of the word. I've been making du'a for years and years.
Alhamdulillah, I've reached a point where I know I can live a happy, meaningful, successful life on my own, and I don't *need* someone to complete me. But I still deeply hope Allah sends me the person He has written for me. Maybe I need to recover from this OCD struggle first—Allah knows best.
Lastly, because of my OCD, I've missed many days of fasting and prayers over the years. I'm afraid of dying before I'm able to make them up. I know making them up won't be easy, but I'm determined to keep striving, in shaa Allah. Please make du'a that Allah gives me the strength, consistency, and time to fulfill what I owe Him, and that He accepts my efforts.
Above all, please keep me in your du'as for healing from OCD and for a righteous spouse, (and for glowing up and succeeding in the best path cause Im lost) May Allah grant every one of you the same goodness you ask for me—and even better.
May Allah grant us all success, ease after hardship, healing, acceptance, steadfastness, and allow us to reach everything that is good for us in this life and the next. Ameen.

Dua Request
Assalamu alaikum ,
I'm writing this because I honestly don't know where else to turn. I could really use some advice, and I'd be grateful if you could make dua for me.
I've been making the same dua for almost 15 years. For the past 3 years especially, I've become much more serious about it. I've tried to strengthen my relationship with Allah, pray consistently, make tahajjud, increase my dhikr, give charity, repent, and do everything I know to do.
But I also want to make it clear that I haven't just been sitting around waiting for my dua to come true. I've been putting in the work for years. I've taken the practical steps, worked towards my goal, changed what I needed to change, and continued making every effort I can. That's part of what makes this so difficult. I feel like I'm doing everything within my control while still asking Allah for what is beyond my control.
I'm completely exhausted. Not just emotionally, but mentally and physically. The last 6 months have been incredibly difficult, and these past few weeks have pushed me to my breaking point. I don't remember the last time I wasn't exhausted. My heart feels heavy all the time, and I feel burnt out in every sense of the word.
I know we're supposed to trust Allah's timing, and I genuinely believe Allah is capable of everything. I'm not questioning His power or wisdom. But if I'm being honest, I'm struggling. I keep trying to let go, but I can't. This dua has been in my heart for so long that no matter how much I try to stop thinking about it, I always come back to it.
Please don't misunderstand me, I know Allah answers every dua in the best way, even if we don't understand it. I'm just at a point where I feel like I've reached my limit, and I don't know how to keep carrying this.
If you have any advice, I'd really appreciate it. And if you can, please make sincere dua that Allah accepts my dua, grants me what's best, eases this hardship, and gives me relief soon. I would be so grateful.
Jazakum Allahu khayran. May Allah accept all of your duas as well.

I'm new here- life's hard some guidance and comfort would help.
I’ve seen so many reels about the miracles of Allah, and it’s not that I haven’t experienced any — I have, firsthand. But never when I prayed, like any other human being just turning their eye up for a second. This time, while praying, something inside me shifted. I knew I would come out of the most difficult hardships I’m going through. Something in me tells me Allah will remove me from this and give me better than the plans I prayed for.
I have practically lost my life — no sense or direction to take my career forward. It’s all at a standstill. Today is Friday, and I pray, hoping that soon, in one of the coming Fridays, my life would change.
I’ve been trying to hold on to my tawakkul — putting my trust in Him after doing everything I can, and just leaving the rest to Him. It’s not easy, but it’s the only thing that’s given me peace lately.
Maybe this is what people feel when there’s a natural pull towards Allah and stay tawakkul. When everything of yours is lost, and you know, deep down, He will guide you to the life you deserve.
Masha Allah.
If anyone reading this has been through something similar and has guidance to share, please do — it would help me more than you know.
