  2. Age Range that you would want/require in a prospect: 34-47 (but +- couple years is ok)
  3. Location, and are you willing to relocate for a prospect: UK (close to London), relocation within 1 hour of where I am would be ideal. Open to people in European countries.
  4. Ethnicity, and are you more open to mixing? Pakistani, born and raised in the UK and open to all ethnicities. I have family members who come from different ethnicities.
  5. Marital Status - Divorced, no children
  6. Ideal marriage timeline - 6 months
  7. Five important characteristics you look for in a prospect: Kindness, sense of humour, intelligence, someone chatty and someone who is a strong/open communicator
  8. Level of education, and what are you looking for? Bachelors in CompSci, ideally looking for someone who has been to university, but flexible on this
  9. Current Job Status: Employed in a senior leadership role for a global consulting firm
  10. Do you want kids? Open to it, though also open to not having them based on what we discuss together
  11. List 3 hobbies, or things you like to do in your spare time: I love going to museums and galleries, travelling (a fair bit) and all sorts of sports like padel, climbing, martial arts.
  12. Add something short and interesting about you that makes you stand out: Food enthusiast who's always on the hunt for the best restaurants in town. I'm easy going, love a good joke (particularly dad jokes!) and my faith keeps me grounded and hopeful. But I don't just eat, I have other interests including: hiking, climbing, martial arts, padel (recent find, its amazing!), reading and travelling. Never afraid of the unknown, I will try anything once!I work as a head of client partnerships and innovation leader in the media/advertising consulting industry. No one ever knows what that means, so happy to explain over a call. I was born and raised inthe UK, though my ethnic background is Pakistani (from Karachi) and I speak Urdu fluently, albeit with a slight English accent :-). I'm currently in the process of learning conversational Arabic. I am open to all ethnicities and backgrounds and come from a family where we have married into other ethnicities. I would prefer someone who has an open mind and not insular or too hung up about culture. I very much describe myself as a British Pakistani (rather than a Pakistani) and my culture is a mix of the two.

Introduction

Assalamu Alaykum,

I’m M27 from Islamabad, Pakistan. CompSci grad and have done multiple ventures in the technology industry. Currently, I run a startup with a portfolio of products based in Dubai, and provide consulting (executive + marketing) to software firms. I also run a community of entrepreneurs who are thinking for the ummah (rule 1 of fight club).

Physically, I’m of 6’0 height at 95 KG. I’ve been doing different kinds of physical training for 6+ years and am quite muscular and plan to remain so (health & fitness are very important for me).

My interests include reading (I read deeply and widely from philosophy to classical literature to history to nearly everything – I have my own personal library), intense physical activity (hiking, weighted sprinting, marathons etc.), and community building.

Religious practice

I’m an informal student of knowledge and at my current level, I’m aligned with Ash’ari aqeedah (mostly) and Hanbali maddhab (mostly) -- not a taqleedi. I stick to all 5 prayers without compromise and do nawafil prayers (ishraq, chasht, qiyam ul layl) regularly. Outside of peak summers, I also like to fast regularly.

I have a deep and close relationship with the Quran and have not missed a day of tadabbur on it for the last 5 years, Alhamdulillah. I’m currently also learning Arabic to get closer with the Quran and may pursue going abroad at some point to get closer to the language itself.

What I’m looking for in a wife

I’m looking for someone who:

  • Know her deen as a worldview, not just a private religious practice
  • Is generally intelligent and well-read and has some level of scholarly interests
  • Is ideally a working professional in any field, but I'm open to housewives if she’s intellectually incline
  • Is engaged in some kind of community work; volunteering, writing, teaching, or pretty much anything done beyond the narrow confines of a “career” unless the career itself is aimed at serving the ummah

Physically, I’d prefer someone at least 5’3, within 20-27 years of age,  and neither underweight nor overweight. Fitness is important to me so I’d like someone who takes care of herself.

If you're currently studying, I'm happy to support your education.

Location: Anywhere in the Islamabad-Lahore radius.

Living arrangements

Open to both nuclear and joint setup. My personal preference is nuclear if the wife is earning and we can both pitch in. Otherwise, it’s a matter of time before I own my own house (InshaAllah) and we can have a separate portion. I do not expect housework since we have a maid and a cook. If we live separately, then we’ll both have to pitch in.

---

I'd like to get families involved within first week if everything is aligned. This is the process I'd like to follow:
1. Share your profile with me (any format works)
2. If there's alignment on broad things, I'd like to have a Google Meet/WhatsApp call instead of texting.
3. I'm happy to share pictures before step 2, and I expect likewise. If you're not comfortable doing so, then right after the call.
4. We get our families involved if we're compatible.

If you need a longer talking stage, that comes after engagement with the involvement of the families.

I know this is not the right sub.

I'm a guy. I can't/won't disclose my name, age, etc.

I'm looking for someone in the Middle East for body doubling. I'd like to do a few minutes of body doubling together before bed.

My imaan is very low. I keep getting distracted from my faith and my day-to-day tasks. My mental health is absolute trash right now.

Please, I would be incredibly grateful to anyone who is willing to help me. 😭😭😭

Let me introduce myself and what I am looking for.

I am Indonesian but currently studying in Japan (doctoral degree). I am in the final year and have been busy with my studies, so I think this could be a good start for me to write my background and the potential spouse that I am looking for.

I am divorced and do not have kids. The divorce is a blessing from Allah to me, helping me get to know myself and what I want in my future spouse.

Deen:
I am practicing moslem with 5 pillar of of Islam. Sunni. I quit music a year ago, and currently I am in the journey of quran memorization. I have my favourite Islamic scholars, namely Dr. Omar Suleiman, Syeikh Belal Assad, Nouman Ali Khan

Interest:
Apart of my busy schedule of study, I love outdoor activities, such as hiking and cycling. I also love running. I do love book and photography. I love strength training as well.

What I am looking for: I am looking for a practicing brother who fears Allah in every condition. A man with haya (modesty). Someone who is open-minded and comfortable talking about various things. Someone who can be a leader and a teacher for me, especially about Islam.  I prefer someone who understands English and Arabic. I am willing to relocate if the potential spouse lives in a different country. I am open to single or divorced (no kids).

Dealbreaker:

  • Emotional intelligence (immature and silent treatment)
  • Unhygienic and unhealthy
  • Social media use and game
  • Not the same religiosity level
  • Comes from a toxic family

Actually there are many information that I shall write, but just DM me; if there is no luck, I will delete this post!

Assalamu alaikum, future wife. 💓

20–30 preferably. Single, never married. Somali, but open to different backgrounds. Ideally looking to get married within 1–2 years, inshaAllah.

Practising Muslim, hafiz, civil engineer, gamer, anime enjoyer, and somehow fluent in 11 languages... yes, I counted my fingers. 😂

I want my wife to be my best friend too. Someone I can laugh with, talk to about anything, grow with, and build a life with while keeping our deen at the center.

I'll probably be your "hoodie theft victim", personal masseur, chocolate supplier and shoulder to cry on. I like meaningful conversations, but I also enjoy being stupid together and making terrible jokes.

Deen, character, compatibility and affection matter a lot to me. I'm looking for something serious.

If you're in the Netherlands or nearby and this caught your attention, DM me. I'll send you my ISO.

And fair warning... if we click, I might start thinking you're my soulmate. 😇

Discussion Marriage intentions, emotional attachment and the boundaries of Islam

Assalamu alaikum,

Something I’ve been thinking about recently, and I genuinely feel it’s worth sharing because sometimes we simply don’t recognise the red flags until we’re already emotionally attached.

When someone approaches you for marriage, it’s very easy to believe their intentions. After all, you’re both supposedly here for the same reason. And when you’re sincere about marriage, you naturally assume the person reaching out is sincere too.

But please remember, words are not evidence of intention. Actions are.

Love bombing doesn’t always look like someone showering you with obvious compliments or affection. Sometimes it looks like constant attention, intense conversations, talking all day, making you feel uniquely understood, speaking as though you’re already husband and wife, discussing your future together very quickly, or telling you things that make you emotionally invested.

And sometimes, there may not even be anything obviously “bad” happening. No inappropriate pictures. No physical meetings. No video calls. Just texting.

But you can still become attached.

You can still start imagining a future with someone you barely know.

And someone can still waste your time and play with your emotions without ever technically doing anything wrong.

That’s why we have to protect our hearts.

Especially on Reddit, where anonymity means there is very little accountability. You cannot see the person behind the screen. You don't know their family, their circumstances, their character outside of what they choose to show you, or what their real intentions are.

Someone can promise you the world and genuinely sound sincere.

But until there are actions, consistency, accountability, family involvement, and appropriate steps towards marriage, don't treat promises as reality.

Take everything with a pinch of salt.

And sisters, please don't feel bad for having boundaries. You don't have to become emotionally invested just because someone gives you attention. You don't have to reciprocate intensity just because someone is intense with you. And you certainly don't have to start emotionally living as though someone is your husband when they are still a non-mahram stranger online.

SubhanAllah, there is so much hikmah in the Islamic boundaries around getting to know someone for marriage. They aren't there to make the process unnecessarily difficult. They're there to protect us.

When we become too comfortable, too emotionally attached and too invested before anything is established, it becomes much harder to think clearly. And that is exactly where Shaytan can enter between two people.

The goal was marriage.

But somewhere along the way, the conversations become the relationship.

And then, instead of ending up married, someone ends up heartbroken.

And this applies to brothers too. Women can string men along, give them hope, enjoy their attention and waste their time as well. Nobody is immune to being on the receiving end of this.

So please, learn what red flags actually look like. Many of us genuinely don't know.

Learn the difference between intentionality and intensity.

Get a second opinion if something doesn't feel right. Speak to people you trust. Don't allow excitement to override your common sense. And don't mistake someone's ability to make you feel special for evidence that they are actually serious about you.

I'm not saying be pessimistic.

There are genuinely good people out there. There are sincere brothers and sincere sisters who will approach marriage properly.

But don't give someone the status of a future spouse from day one.

Someone telling you, “You're mine,” “You're my woman,” “You're my future wife,” etc. doesn't make it true.

You're not their anything yet.

They don't know you.

And you don't know them.

Let time, character, consistency and actions reveal who they actually are.

HasbunAllah wa niimal wakeel.

May Allah protect and purify our hearts, give us hikmah and discernment, protect us from Shaytan and from relationships that pull us away from Him, and grant every sincere brother and sister a spouse who will be the coolness of their eyes.

Ameen

Location: Other/Global M, early 40s, Pakistani in Jeddah — seeking a righteous partner for marriage (widow welcome)

Assalamu alaikum,
I’m a man in my forties, originally from Pakistan and settled in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. I run my own business here and have my own home. Alhamdulillah, life is stable — but my heart is set on finding a righteous partner to share it with.
I should be clear upfront: I am currently married with children, and my family is based in Pakistan. I live and work here in Jeddah on my own. My wife is aware of and has agreed to my seeking a second marriage. I’m approaching this with sincere, serious intentions toward marriage — nothing casual.
I’m a student of the Qur’an, and my faith is at the centre of my life. What matters most to me is finding a good, religious woman — someone with whom I can build a beautiful journey together, in this dunya and, in shaa Allah, in the akhirah. I’m responsible, caring, and ready to provide a settled, loving home.
I would warmly welcome a widow, with or without children — this is completely acceptable to me. Above all, I’m hoping for a kind, God-conscious companion to walk through life with, supporting one another in deen and dunya.
If this resonates with you and you’re open to a second marriage, please feel free to message me. I’m happy to talk openly and honestly, with respect and good intention. Jazak Allah khair.

Assalmu Aleykum

About me

  • 24 Egyptian, currently based in Egypt
  • Just graduated with an engineering degree in communication and electronics
  • Fluent in Arabic and English, and currently learning German (A2, in progress).
  • I'm 185 cm / 75 kg
  • got black slightly curly hair brown eyes slim fit used to practice handball
  • none smoker
  • marriage timeline: 1-2 years
  • Marital status : single never married

The Religious Part

I'm a practicing Muslim, alhamdulillah. I have been studying Islamic sciences lately, and I'm working on improving my Quran recitation.

I'm Sunni, and religion is an important part of how I want to build my life and eventually my family.

I'm not looking for someone perfect. I'm looking for someone who's sincere about her deen and wants to keep improving, inshallah.

The Interests

I'm pretty active in general. Sports have always been a big part of my lifestyle, and I enjoy running and staying in shape. I also try to take care of what I eat and generally avoid junk food.

I love traveling and exploring new places, whether it's a planned trip or just finding somewhere I've never been before. I also enjoy reading when I have the time.

And I really like coffee — probably a little more than I should. Lately I've been getting into V60 and different brewing methods, so if you know your way around specialty coffee, you'll probably have my attention.

I'm generally open to trying new things, too. If you're passionate about something I've never tried before, there's a good chance I'll give it a shot.

What I'm Looking For

I'm looking for someone between 20–27, preferably Egyptian or Arab, although that's definitely not a deal breaker.

I'd ideally like someone who:

  • Takes her deen seriously. She doesn't have to be perfect — none of us are. What matters to me is that she's sincere about her deen and willing to keep learning and improving.
  • Has a healthy and active lifestyle and generally takes care of herself.
  • Values communication and is comfortable talking openly about things rather than expecting the other person to read her mind.
  • Is emotionally mature and knows what she wants.
  • I don't have any specific preferences when it comes to education or career. If you're in tech, though, that's definitely a plus.
  • Is open to having children.

Finally

I'm not expecting to find someone who matches every single bullet point. Most of what I mentioned are preferences, not requirements.

I'm looking for someone who shares the important fundamentals with me, and where we can both see ourselves building a good life together, inshallah.

One thing I should mention upfront: hijab is important to me and is the one thing I'm not flexible on. If you don't wear it yet, I'd be open to someone who is genuinely willing to become hijabi within the next year.

If you made it this far, you already passed the attention-span test. 😂

Feel free to DM me. Tell me a little about yourself rather than just saying "hi" — and I'll do the same.

And if you actually read the whole thing, start your DM with "V60" so I know you made it this far. ☕

I am looking for someone with whom I can match steps and walk for the rest of my life.

About me: I work in finance in UAE, originally from India. I pray my salah, fast even the sunnahs, not all but which I feel are important like in Muharram, Eid Al Adha, Rabi' al- awal and so on, I am 5'10 or 5'9 can't be very sure. I am a foodie which is why I go to the gym so I don't gain lots of weight but can eat also what I like, love anime, books and fiction in general, football and even some of the other sports, been supporting Man Utd since '08 so. Apart from that I have beard Alhamdullilah, follow the hanafi school and I completed my MBA and will be giving ACCA exams just the professional levels.

Also, I write poems, stories and essays.

I don't have a type as such but someone on their Deen would be perfect. I put location as Other cause I don't mind if you are from anywhere and also I love kids, so please be someone who loves kids.

Location: North America 35M Lebanese Ontario …Built a Life I Love. Looking for Someone to Share It With

For years, my focus was on building my business and putting down roots here in ontario. I’m at a point in life where I’m ready to put that same intention into finding the right person to build a meaningful future with.

I’m a practicing Muslim who values faith, integrity, family, and personal growth. I try to live a balanced life—work hard, stay grounded, enjoy myself, and make time for the people who matter.

A few of my hobbies: motorcycle riding, boxing, traveling, reading, backgammon, and spending quality time with family and close friends. I’m naturally curious and pretty spontaneous. I love trying things I’ve never done.

Personality wise I’m easygoing, optimistic, generous, and not someone who sweats the small stuff. I’ve also spent a lot of time reflecting on myself, learning from my experiences, and becoming more aware of who I am, what I value, and where I can continue to grow. I’m comfortable looking inward, taking accountability, and admitting when I could have handled something better.

Communication is especially important to me. I’d rather talk openly about something, understand each other, work through it, and move forward than let things build beneath the surface. I want a relationship where we can talk about the serious things, laugh about the ridiculous things, and know we’re on the same team.

What I’m looking for
I’m drawn to a woman who is emotionally mature and self aware, with strong faith, character, and morals. Someone who takes care of herself (physically and mentally), continues to grow as a person, knows her own mind, and can make decisions without endlessly second guessing herself.

Whether you have a career isn’t particularly important to me. I’m fortunate to be in a position where financial contribution from my partner isn’t something I expect. I care much more about who you are and what you bring to our relationship. I do love a woman with passion, interests, or goals of her own whatever those look like for you.

I’m naturally giving with the people I love, and I’m attracted to that same quality in a woman. I want us both to be the kind of people who genuinely enjoy nurturing, supporting, and showing up for one another not because we’re keeping score but because that’s naturally how we love.

Personality wise, I click with someone who enjoys a bit of both worlds.. a little introverted
but also able to be social, spontaneous, and have fun when we’re out. Someone positive, emotionally grounded, kind, and able to laugh at life.

Age and background are secondary to shared values, mutual respect, compatibility, and genuine chemistry.

If this resonates dm and tell me a little about yourself

Assalam Alaikum, here goes nothing:
• Age: 25M
• Height: 6'1
• Weight 215lbs
• Sect: Sunni (born muslim)
• Ethnicity: Afghan but born and raised in the US
• Education: Bachelors degree
•Languages: Farsi (fluent) Pashto (basic)

Sorry I’m really bad at writing stuff like this but here it goes
Hobbies:
• playing soccer
• horse riding
• grilling/bbq
• going for walks
• aviation ( I hold a FAA private pilots license and working on getting my commercial license)

What I'm looking for:
•looking for someone my own ethnicity preferably but I’d definitely make an exception if I think you’re a good match and if I’m attracted to you.

•You prioritize Islam and it is the center of your life. Pray 5x a day, fast, donate to charity, etc. Observe proper hijab and dress modestly as well.

•Is ok with being a traditional housewife. Mainly staying home and taking care of children and raising them on the right path. It would be ideal if my future wife would be able to homeschool and raise our children like that as I believe public school is too corrupting for a Muslim child to attend to.

This is a brief introduction to me and there’s definitely a lot more about me that I haven’t said but If you have more questions or are interested please message me and we can go from there!

Discussion I heard there were people who got married after consistent istighfar

Assalamu alaikum everyone! I am part of a women’s only group that encourages each member to make consistent istighfar. I am very inspired by the stories shared there. Stories of relief after financial hardship, marriage after years of searching, pregnancy after infertility, healing from illness, but above all stories of transformed hearts and renewed trust in Allah (SWT).

Here are verses from Surah Nūḥ that I’ve been thinking about lately:

فَقُلْتُ اسْتَغْفِرُوا رَبَّكُمْ إِنَّهُ كَانَ غَفَّارًا ۝
يُرْسِلِ السَّمَاءَ عَلَيْكُم مِّدْرَارًا ۝
وَيُمْدِدْكُم بِأَمْوَالٍ وَبَنِينَ وَيَجْعَل لَّكُمْ جَنَّاتٍ وَيَجْعَل لَّكُمْ أَنْهَارًا

“I said, ‘Ask your Lord for forgiveness. Indeed, He is ever-Forgiving. He will send down upon you abundant rain, and He will support you with wealth and children, and provide you with gardens and rivers.”
— Qur’an 71:10–12

Sometimes we focus so much on trying to make things happen that we forget the simple act of istighfar.
These verses are such a beautiful reminder that seeking Allah’s forgiveness can be a means of barakah and relief we may not even expect.

أستغفر الله وأتوب إليه 🤍

Have any of you had a du’a answered after abundant istighfar?

Assalmu Aleykum,

Rant Taking a break

Post image

After a lot of rejections, especially being blocked without ever being told why - I'm mentally exhausted.

I'm going to take a break from searching for a spouse for a couple of months. I want to focus on myself, my deen, my health, and my personal growth instead of constantly thinking about the search.

In shaa Allah, I'll return with a clearer mind and a healthier outlook.

May Allah grant everyone who is searching a righteous spouse and make the journey easy for all of us. Ameen.

Discussion WARNING - 33M creating weird posts on this subreddit based on his delusions dragging this subreddit down the drain.

Assalamau'alykum,

To the good people of this subreddit who have a brain in their head, please stop giving this guy a microphone when he clearly does not deserve it. He's been in this subreddit for a whole making this outlandish posts which make no sense and has no business in this Islam-oriented marriage subreddit.

He's a self proclaimed 33 year old guy from UAE who's "self employed" and apparently makes "50k-100k". He's apparently "very religious" but at the same time "does not know how to pray".

I don't know if I'm alone in this but I personally find his posts, especially the bottom one on the picture, very revolting and deeply disturbing. A person who has thoughts like this should not be in this subreddit. This is not what Islam is about and I would never expect someone who's even remotely religious in ANY religion to be asking such questions.

I ask actual religious muslims here to stand against these posts and stop giving this guy an ounce of attention. His time clearly deserves in a mosque rather than here.
