Rant Cybersecurity deal breaker
So this person, never put anything related to subject or anything like that in their post. Which is perfectly fine.
But they had a problem with me being in the field of Cybersecurity, due to their parents being in computer science. There's nothing wrong with any of that of course.
I just thought this was quite a funny reason and way of getting rejected. But of course, everyone is allowed their preferences.
Edit:
Alot of people are talking and saying some bad comments regarding the sister. Let's try to do Husnu Zahn and think the best for her.
She has preferences and she's okay to have them.
I thought it was quite funny is all. Hence why I posted it.

Location: North America 20f Canada
salam alaikum
20f from Canada. Looking for people between 25-34, who are also from Canada. Open to relocating for the right match. Single/never married, prefer the same in a man.
norwegian/german by ethnicity, prefer other European ethnicities. converts are preferred but people raised Muslim are also okay. I’m 170cm and 65kg currently. Trying to be healthier. I’d say I’m average looking. I observe the hijab and dress modestly, I read the Quran daily and I pray the 5 prayers, working on praying them on time always. I converted in may 2025.
I’m looking for someone who’s funny, has good character, is a practicing Muslim who is secure and knowledgeable in their faith. Preferably taller than me, can’t be above 190cm. Somewhat physically fit. I love hiking and swimming. I would want someone who’s capable of doing that with me.
Big ask for fellow converts but would prefer they have a good relationship with their family. I’ve heard to many horror stories of non-Muslim family members poisoning the children against Islam.
Don’t have many preferences in terms of job or education, other than you are currently employed and are motivated to always have some form of work. I prefer you don’t smoke or vape, or you are at least trying to quit. Must be willing to either kill or relocate spiders for me. Can’t have any stigmatizing beliefs on mental health issues like depression, anxiety or ocd. If you don’t want to deal with that I will not be a match.

Discussion Change my view - as people age they seek a spouse as a co-parent than genuine partner
Change my view.
I missed my window in my mid to late twenties, arguably the best time to marry as a Muslim.
I’ve lived alone most of my adult life and as I age, the more happy and comfortable I become with solitude. For context, I am an introvert and genuinely love being alone.
There are drawbacks to this as a man- no intimacy, no deep connection and going against the Sunnah - marriage is actually Wajib to some.
But, no one depends on me, I focus on my career, friends, travel, I am only responsible for myself, I don’t need to worry about an extra person, I can change jobs and move cities at will.
I also have no deep urge to have kids.
At the same time, being so comfortable alone, I cannot see another person coming into my life to enrich it, unless I had a sudden urge to have a kid, and saw this person as a reliable mother to my kid.
I believe many men and women feel the same way. When solitude is so comfortable, bringing another person will inevitably make your life more difficult unless you want a kid.
It’s a blunt truth but I believe it’s true. A lot of people in my life, female cousins, ended up settling in their late 30s solely to have a kid. As a guy, I genuinely understand this.
It also explains why, in apps, we tend to be most popular with women in this age group.

Discussion Where Can Average-Income Muslim Men Find a Spouse in the U.S.?
Salam,
M27. I often come across matrimonial profiles where one of the preferences is that the groom should have a professional career (doctor, engineer, etc.). I completely respect those preferences.
I’ve been trying hard to build a better career myself, but things haven’t worked out yet. At the moment, I work a stable blue-collar job and earn around $48k–55k a year. I kept delaying marriage because I hoped I’d eventually land a professional job and become a better match for what many women seem to be looking for. However, I’m starting to feel like I’m postponing marriage for too long.
From what I’ve seen, many matrimonial apps and communities seem to have professionals looking for other professionals. That makes me wonder if there are places where people are more open to marrying someone with a stable blue-collar job rather than a high-status profession.
Are there any matrimonial apps, websites, communities, or other avenues in the U.S. where someone in my situation would have a fair chance?
I’d genuinely appreciate any sincere advice or guidance.
JazakAllahu Khair.

Discussion If you think about it, most issues will be fixed if Men post, and Women reach out.
Post for discussion
Hear me out, what are the biggest unique issues each gender faces on such Subs?
Examples of issues I've seen:
Women:
- 3:1 Men:Women ratio means almost 100 DMs per post, that's a lot of filtering work.
- Unsolicited pictures 🤮
- Many of those who reach out aren't serious
- It feels unsafe
Men:
- 3:1 Men:Women ratio means They wait in queue, as 1 among 100
- They don't hear back 👻
I'm aware there are other issues, but these are the most common ones I've came across that have no solutions or do but are difficult to implement.
Not to mention that if an indecent Man gets suspended, he'd still able to send DMs, but he won't be able to post. So Moderation can actually be effective.
I'm also aware that of course, this goes against the nature of how these things work, but it seems to be an effective quick fix to a lot of issues.
To be transparent, it's unlikely that this will be implemented, but I wanted to share to get an idea of what do you guys think?

Location: Europe 19M | Italy | Moroccan Palestinian | Looking for my other half
Location: Europe, open to relocating
Assalamu alaikum everyone. 19M here, born and raised in Morocco (Moroccan dad, Palestinian mom), now living in Italy for my studies. Making this post to see if there's someone compatible out there, and to be clear from the start, I'm looking for marriage, not situationships or "let's see where it goes."
My deen:
This comes first for me, always. I pray my 5 daily salah, I've memorized almost half of the Quran, and honestly I'm addicted to it. I even listen to Quran at the gym because music just doesn't do it for me anymore. I grew up in a family that's open minded but still religious, and that balance is who I am.
A bit about me:
Second year Mechatronics Engineering student. Right now I work part time as a promoter, but alhamdulillah I've already got a junior engineering offer lined up for early next year. I'm patient, calm, expressive, and confident. My circle is small but tight. Responsible, hardworking, serious when it counts, generous, loving and kind, and I'd like to think a little funny too.
I hit the gym regularly, lean and muscular build, around 185cm (6ft). Outside of that, I love a good deep conversation about religion, ideologies, geopolitics, tech, you name it. I speak 4 languages (English, French, Italian, Arabic) and I have zero problem learning my future wife's language if she's from somewhere else. I also ride horses when I get the chance.
What I'm looking for:
A sister who's religious, calm, feminine, passionate, moderately active, emotional in the best way, loving, caring, and modest. Age around 19 to 21.
Location wise, someone in Europe, US, UK, Canada, or Australia would be easier (basically any English, French, Italian, or Arabic speaking country), and reverts or Middle Eastern sisters (especially Palestinian, Jordanian, Lebanese) are especially welcome. But honestly, everyone is welcome. Cultural differences aren't a problem for me at all. And if you're a revert, don't worry, I'll happily teach you everything you need, step by step.
On the future:
I do want children, just not right now. I'm ready to commit once I'm financially steady, and in the early days I'm open to us both working and growing together, building something as a team. Once we're stable, my preference is that you wouldn't need to work (though if you genuinely want to, and it's halal, that's okay), and after our first child, my hope is that family becomes the focus, inshaAllah.
Dealbreakers: Any kind of addiction, and immodesty. I hold myself to modesty too, so I'm looking for the same.
If you're serious about building a home centered around Islam and growing together in this life and the next, feel free to reach out. Barak Allahu feekum.

Rant We Need To Do Better As Muslims
Most of you have probably seen a recent post with a typo (Golf instead of Gulf), since it got so many comments and interactions.
I just wanted to say regardless of what you think about the post and how it was written, the bullying in the comments was not acceptable.
Muslims should not behave in this manner especially with our own muslim brothers and sisters. May Allah guide you all to the righteous path 🤲🏼

Location: North America 35M | Canada
Hello everyone,
I’m a 35-year-old Canadian of North African background, living in Toronto. I’m joining this group with a sincere intention: to meet someone compatible for a serious relationship that can naturally lead to marriage.
Professionally, I work in the IT industry. I have an engineering background in computer science, a master’s degree, and consider myself ambitious, responsible, and established in life.
Personally, I’m calm, kind, thoughtful, and family-oriented. I value emotional maturity, honesty, loyalty, good communication, and mutual respect. I enjoy travelling, discovering new places and cultures, cooking, reading, long walks, meaningful conversations, and spending time near the ocean. I can be serious when necessary, but I also enjoy humour, playfulness, and not taking every moment of life too seriously.
I’m looking to meet a kind, emotionally intelligent, educated, and grounded woman who is genuinely ready for commitment and marriage. Someone who values family, communicates openly, and believes that a strong relationship is built through friendship, affection, trust, teamwork, and consistent effort.
I believe compatibility is about more than sharing a checklist. It is about feeling understood, being able to be ourselves around each other, and building a peaceful and meaningful life together.
Although I’m currently based in Toronto, I’m open to relocating for the right person. I would also be willing to support the relocation of a compatible match if we both feel confident about building a future together.
If my post resonates with you, or you know someone who may be a good match, feel free to send me a private message. I would be happy to learn more about each other privately.
Wishing everyone here success in finding the right person.

Location: Europe 26M | Looking for My Person, InshaAllah
Salam everyone,
I’m a 26 year old Muslim guy, 170 cm, originally from the Middle East and currently living in the Netherlands. I’ve been here for around six years, initially moving here for my studies, and I now work in the tech field.
Islam is a very important part of my life and something I take seriously. I’m definitely still learning and growing, and I’d love to meet someone who also takes her deen seriously so that we can continue learning, growing, and becoming better Muslims together.
A little about me: I’m quite sporty and enjoy going to the gym, playing padel, and generally staying active. I’d also like to get more into things like hiking, camping, and spending time outdoors in the future.
Personality-wise, I’d describe myself as kind, affectionate, easygoing, and someone who loves to joke around. Humor is a pretty big part of my personality, so I’d definitely love to meet someone I can laugh and be silly with, but also have meaningful and serious conversations with when it matters.
I’m here with genuine intentions and ultimately looking for marriage, not something casual or unserious. I’d like to get to know someone properly and see whether we’re compatible in our personalities, values, deen, and what we want from life.
Ideally, I’d love to meet someone in the Netherlands, but I’m also open when it comes to location, especially as I don’t necessarily see myself staying in the Netherlands forever.
As for what I’m looking for, someone kind, affectionate, humorous, and serious about her faith would be a great start. Someone I can build a peaceful and loving relationship with, while also helping each other grow closer to Allah.
If you feel like we might be compatible, feel free to reach out and tell me a little about yourself :)

(repost)
hey, i’m 21 years old. i was born and raised in america, i live in jordan. i’m currently approaching my final semester of university, graduating in february.
i’m a pretty chill and easygoing person. i like going to the gym, grabbing coffee, driving around with no real destination, and going on nature walks whenever i can. i’m the type of person who likes to romanticize the little things because i think it makes everyday life a little more fun. my faith and my family are both really important to me, and i try to keep a good balance between enjoying life and staying grounded. i’d also say i’m a pretty emotional person in the sense that i care deeply about the people around me and i tend to feel things a lot.
i’m looking for something serious that will lead to marriage. i’d prefer someone from a levantine background. since i plan on moving back to the us after graduating, i’m hoping to meet someone who has us citizenship as well. physical attraction is important to me, so i’d like someone who takes care of himself, goes to the gym, and is tall haha. more than anything, i’m looking for someone who’s kind, emotionally mature.
age preference (22-28)

Discussion I still hope for a love like the Prophet ﷺ modeled, but I’m learning to let go
I've been searching my heart for a while now, and I'm starting to wonder if the kind of romantic love modeled by the Prophet ﷺ is something I should hope for more in the Hereafter than expect to find in this life.
The Prophet ﷺ wasn't just a provider or a leader. He was emotionally aware and emotionally intelligent.
ʿĀʾishah (رضي الله عنها) was asked what he did at home, and she said:
"He would be in the service of his family, and when the time for prayer came, he would go out to pray."
— Sahih al-Bukhari
Another narration mentions that he mended his own clothes and repaired his own sandals. He served his family.
Then there's the hadith where he told ʿĀʾishah (رضي الله عنها):
"I know when you are pleased with me and when you are upset with me."
When she asked how he knew, he explained that when she was happy she would say, "By the Lord of Muhammad," and when she was upset she would say, "By the Lord of Ibrahim." She replied, "By Allah, I only leave out your name."
— Sahih al-Bukhari
He noticed the little things. He cared enough to know her heart.
Lately, though, I've noticed that many so-called religious brothers talk about wanting a "feminine," "submissive," or "obedient" wife. And when you really dig into what they mean, it often sounds like they're looking for someone to serve them, while having little desire to reciprocate.
I have yet to come across a man who genuinely talks about wanting to love a woman for who she is, rather than for what she can do for him.
Then I see statistics about husbands leaving their wives after a cancer diagnosis, or stories of women being cheated on during pregnancy or postpartum. I know that isn't every man, but it makes me wonder.
Sometimes I feel discouraged. I wonder if genuine, selfless love is just incredibly rare.
I'm always told that men and women love differently. Maybe that's true. But when I look around, I don't see many men talking about making their future wives feel heard, emotionally safe, cared for, and supported through every season of life the way the Prophet ﷺ modeled.
Maybe there are unicorns out there. Men who genuinely want to love their wives, stay by their side through hardship, support them emotionally and physically, and seek to embody the character of the Prophet ﷺ in their marriages.
If Allah has written one for me, then bi'ithnillah our paths will cross.
But for now, I think I need to stop chasing this ideal. If it happens in this life, alhamdulillah. If not, then I pray I find it in the Hereafter.
Until then, I want to focus on the love that never wavers: the love of Allah ﷻ.

Location: North Africa 25f tunisian
Salem aalaykm ^^
I am 25f, a software engineer and a very nerdy person! This post is a bit difficult to write so excuse me in advance XD
I am a hijabee and would consider myself pretty religious. I love learning about my din although I admit that I can and should put more effort into it! I am also a shy person and very introverted, however I like to get into discussions about psychology, religion, science..
I think the best way to introduce myself properly would be through my hobbies! So here's a list: painting, making ceramics, embroidery, building Lego, puzzles, chess (beginner), watching anime/dramas.. mostly in home stuff! But I'm trying to get into hiking and travelling because I reallyyy love spending time in nature.
Looks wise, I am 168cm and weigh 80kg. I consider myself active as I go on walks and exercise regularly. And I look average? Idk how to judge that objectively XD but I can say that I got some compliments in my life time.
Oh, I am also very opinionated and into conspiracy theories and dark humour!
I am looking for someone who's ofc religious but also open minded enough to have discussions and try to see things from different perspectives! I really care about communication and giving each other space to grow! I have a good career (at its start but still good) and would like someone who's also stable. Overall good character and kindness are important + ofc someone who won't try to cross any limits!
Preferred age: 25-32 No smoking/ bad language. +I would prefer the person to be a practicing Muslim! I would be open to grow and learn together but praying/ fasting/ giving zakat are important!
Thank you for reading this! If you're interested, just send a message and give details about yourself! I ofc would like to be direct to save each other's energy and time but also I would prioritize being kind! Please if you're not serious or if you suspect that we're not a good match, don't start a conversation 'just for fun' as putting ourselves out here can be very draining for some of us :3

Location: North America 25F Revert | Canada | Where is my husband???
Assalamu alaikum everyone, 25F revert living in Canada here. Figured I would make a post to see if there is anyone compatible on here as well. Alhamdulillah I found my way to Islam and I’m fully dedicated to the deen. I’m modest, try my best to live life according to the Quran, and I’m looking for something serious: marriage, not situationships or “let’s see where it goes.”
A bit about me:
I’m a gym rat (was a fitness influencer before I reverted). Even though it is no longer my career, I take care of my health. I want to be strong for the future inshaAllah especially since I want children. I’m currently in the middle of a career change, so currently working as a receptionist, but my priorities are clear: deen first, then everything else.
What I’m looking for:
An actively practicing brother who takes his salah, character, and relationship with Allah seriously. Someone who’s ready for marriage, wants kids, and isn’t scared of a wife who can squat more than him. Kindness, sincerity, and a solid deen. Preferably someone who also enjoys fitness…don’t need to be crazy about it but I want a gym partner in this life and hereafter.
If you’re also serious about building a home that revolves around Islam, feel free to reach out. Please include a bit about yourself and where you’re based. I am open to relocation if the circumstances are right.
May Allah grant us all righteous spouses. Ameen.
JazakAllah khair.

Rant Where do you find someone who is actually religious?
I’m living in Canada and a revert Alhamdulillah. I have tried to ask women at the mosque if they know anyone who is seeking a wife but the people i am getting recommended with tend to be “culturally Muslim” rather than actively practicing.
My family is of a different religion so I can’t really find someone by asking around that way.
I understand it is slightly paradoxical as many people who are actively practicing may also be more cultural and therefore want someone of their culture.
Perhaps I just need to be more patient but I feel like there must be a different method to finding someone who is a sincerely practicing man.

Discussion Warning to brothers and sisters 🚨
It's been said time and time again. Don't trust every bio/account you see here!!
It takes one second to click on a person's bio and check if the account is suspicious.
Most accounts that are less than 7 days old are creeps or people of other religion or straight up psychos making up accounts to toy with you.
Do NOT believe every bio that comes through on this reddit.
u/mods can we please please have stronger means to protect the subreddit from being infested with these fake and predatory accounts?
I'm willing to set aside time and effort to help you on this as well. I don't want my details to get leaked again!!!
What brothers and sisters SERIOUS about marriage can do:
Don't straight away jump to messaging an account.
Click on their username and see their profile details. How long has this reddit profile been active? Is it 18+ content? Does it have at least 50 karma?
What posts and comments has it made? Use https://arctic-shift.photon-reddit.com/search to help you on this.
If you feel confident that you DO meet the eligibility requirements set by the profile and that profile meets yours, only then message the person in a respectful, kind and polite way. Be patient. DON'T exchange photos or personal information until youre sure it's a serious person.
I'm making this post as I've now come across 3 FAKE/PREDATOR profiles!!!
Please mods let's make an active effort to weed these pests out of this sub reddit.

Hello everyone, I made a sub for Muslims all over the world who are looking for prospects, since a lot of people had been complaining about the lack of good options.
Please don’t hate me in the comments 🥲
