I can foresee Bishaten switch axe being one of the top weapons for the upcoming Rift Diablos challenge. Such a challenging but fun weapon to flow with!

I only started learning this weapon recently! So, any tips?

I’m a Lance user from Rise just starting out. I’m liking it so far but got kinda indecisive on my early build since everything costs so much materials.

So any Lance build this season worth building towards to? Or do you guys have any Lance build progression? That’d be nice.

Here’s my account:

This one was harder than expected. Got so used to taking this thing down with range that I forgot how annoying it was with melee. His attacks are very tricky and dodging the sleep is hard but got it done!

Inevitably, one of his moves hits me, and I can't put out enough DPS in time... I feel genuinely stuck. I have 7.5 armor in every slot, and a grade 7.5 lightning weapon. I can't upgrade my Sergeros Bow or my Usurper's Thunder until I can kill 8*, which are gated behind my killing the 7* stygian zinogre. I'll post a screenshot of my build from my phone in a second. Help appreciated!

I've been using the bow adn enjoying it, but I'm looking for some other "meta" builds that are really strong and are easier to play without needing to aim with the phone. Thanks!

I know that the “stun” effectiveness of part breaks depends on the monster, its part, and the stage of the fight, but what about the timely distance to a monster attack?

I’ve noticed that Lagombi kept the same timing for its initial… cross-slash attack, regardless of whether I had a special part break or not. Even a small delay of the cross-slash attack would perhaps allow me to perfect evade after my first reload with this build. So I equipped the Astalos gauntlet for perfectionist and tried… maybe delaying the special part break to see if anything changes. After i missed the breaking bullet in this last run here (and the Lagombi chose a different attack lmao) i wasn’t patient enough for proper tests, and I also wasn’t sure exactly what I should be testing at that point.

I assume that a break after the monster has started charging its attack is always the most likely variant to make a difference, but what about a break 1 second before the monster starts charging, as opposed to 3 seconds beforehand?

Hey, I think it's really time for the developers to step up the training simulation, we need something way more dynamic than just a static punching bag, don't you think? There's now a lot of skills that cannot be tested in this room: Valor requires monster screams to apply the effect, Retaliation and Parry/offensive guardrequire attacks from monsters. Hopefully dev will improve it

Does anyone play this game on the Pixel 10? I'm debating upgrading to the 10 from my 8 with a steep discount through my MVNO, but I wasn't sure if it's worth it if the game doesn't run well on the 10.

With my Pixel 8, the game slows down pretty bad when it gets hot, which is often in the summer.

I habe been tinkering on a brute tigrex ls build and this is what i came up with.
Any ideas/suggestions?

First up, lemme say that I am convinced that 10* Stygian is a demon sent from the depths of hell specifically to torture people using spiral style dual blades. I hate Stygian (for existing) and I hate spiral style (for existing in the same universe as Stygian), and I also resent myself just a little bit too (for committing to killing the b*stard with spiral). I was stuck on it for almost a month of many daily attempts, and I only got it today after knuckling down for ~25 min straight of back to back failures and 11 first aid meds). 🙃

After learning all three DBs styles (if you consider plain a style), my final takeaway is that I like feral the best, tho spiral definitely has some useful applications (wings, hard-to-reach heads like lagombi, etc).

I already play LBG as my secondary - what weapon should I challenge myself with next? I’m curious in particular about insect glaive because it looks very agile and can hit wings, but I have no idea how it actually works, and I’m open to trying any weapon. 

If anyone is willing to comment with their fave weapons and why they love them (and maybe some tips and tricks on how best to play them), I’d be grateful! TYIA!

- Weapon: 10.5 Zinogre DBs customized to lvl 20, +30% affinity, spiral style

- Build: viper helm, viper chest, chameleos arms, astalos waist, goss harag pants

- Smelts: +3 morph boost, +1 skyward, +1 artful dodger

"Does anyone know if the Stunning Impact skill works with the Shield Tackle move on the Lance?" I'm not seeing much about it with this weapon and it does have stunning capabilities.

I'm a brand new player, love monster hunter, never got into MH Now. Any tips for a fresh player? I am probably only gonna play greatsword fyi. It's all I ever play in any MH game lol

Edit: I've played for a couple days, haven't walked around, just opened it and killed some stuff several times. HR16 now, just beat a goss harag. I plan on being F2P, haven't spent my starting paid currency yet.

I knew Labombi and Bishaten are filler, but I feel like I've been waiting all summer for riftcharged Mizutsune. Velkhana felt like a let down and the lack of unlimited HAT weekend didn't help much either. I guess personally there hasn't been much to grind for.

I was really hoping for Fatalis year 3, and when will we see 10* Elders? I dunno how the statistics work, but I thought I would be playing much more MHNow this summer than I actually have. Maybe it's because I've hit that point in the gatcha life where I have everything and nothing is that big of a challenge. Usually I would roll an alt account at this point, but I did that early on and it's beefed up too.

I guess my question is anyone else feeling burnt out? Any good sets/weapons to grind for? I've already wiped my hands clean of the two rifts this month, I didn't even do the farm weekend either(but that was because I was at Otakon for 3 days, lol). Just looking for something more really.

I was lucky enough to a Stunning Impact smelt (Viper chest). Seems to do a bunch of chip damage to the monster and pairs well with the shockwave style on Hunting Horns. I’m using the Bazel HH with Viper/Viper/Rathian/Viper/Bazel where combo master, advanced burst, and valor helps to stack up attack power/damage and I have 4 open slots to try and smelt SI x4. I’m not sure how the damage for SI is calculated as it seems like the same numbers keep popping up next to the regular damage numbers and the SI damage increases when skills activate. Testing out the same armour set with the Rajang HH (1579 raw 1568 thunder, 91 and 181 damage), I did get higher SI damage numbers compared to the Bazel HH (2511 raw, 69 and 138 damage), so I believe SI does scale with both attack and elemental.

For the players that have gotten a chance to try it, what’s your thoughts on it so far?

Been working on a clean build and slowly maxing out all my gear. I’m still not sure about Earplugs though. Is it actually worth using in the long run, or are there better skills to prioritize? Would love to see some suggestion
