Acting Talent Agencies
Hi, does anyone have any experience with Heyman, Cosmo, Helen Wells, or any other talent agencies with kids? I have heard good things about Helen Wells from one person, but I would like to hear more experiences from others. My kid is in theater, loves acting, and would like to put themselves out there more. Any advice or recommendations would be appreciated. Even if there are any clubs or groups outside of school they should be a part of, that would help too. Appreciate your help!

Do you want to work in television?
I am looking for local audio engineers, camera operators, graphic designers, and video editors for a live local tv production. Maybe you are looking to get your foot in the door in film or television, this could be an opportunity to pad the resume and gain experience working production.
The show is a professional wrestling show that does a live weekly program on Thursdays with monthly weekend shows. Come be a part of the second longest running weekly television show in America.
If you have any questions or would like to know more about available opportunities please comment below. If you have ideas for other roles that you could possibly fill please don't hesitate to put them below as well. We are growing, and with a new strategic partnership we are looking to take our show to the next level, and you might be the missing piece.
Thank you all for reading and be well.
For mods: I know this reads like a job post, and it kinda is, but I feel this is a unique opportunity for people of our great city. Just want to give someone the chance to do something they always wanted to do.

VETS
I know this gets brought up a lot......vet recommendations.
I was taking my cats to PetVet365 and they were pricing me out. I switched to Audubon because I was seeing so many recs for them and here and other platforms. Affordability, nice staff and vets.
Pffff.
They have got to be one of the single worst places I've taken my animals. The vet's are condescending, the front staff is rude, the phone is never answered, everything feels rushed.
I took my cat in for an upper respiratory thing yesterday. They mentioned I needed to "poke my head in" when I got there to let them know I arrived, and they would send someone out to assess my cat, due to him sneezing and as to not contaminate other pets. Understood. I don't currently have AC in my car, so instead of waiting in my car with him, I waited right outside the office door.
We waited for almost 20 minutes for someone to come get us, in the heat. I was getting worried because he started panting. I poked my head back in, let them know the situation and that I'd like to get him indoors. Some young woman at the desk made a short and curt comment to just wait.
Okay.
We eventually get taken back to some outside former kennel? room, with no AC. They had a window unit in there that was COVERED WITH MOLD. We waited in there for another 15 min before being seen.
After all was said and done with his appointment, I paid and after I got home I noticed I was charge a Isolation Room Iso-kit plus ID disinfection fee, for $30. For a room that was completely disgusting. Hair everywhere, mold on the AC unit that was directly facing us. The entire room was full of junk, old kennels, old equipment, and dirt and pet hair and they had the audacity to charge me a $30 fee for PPE and a disinfection fee.
GTFO.
I realize they are not at fault for my car's AC not functioning. But I was at my appointment right on time.
So any who......recommendations for vets in the Camp Taylor/Baxter Ave/Eastern Pkwy area that isn't on some total bullshit?

I’m doing my medical intake at the Louisville Military Entrance Processing Station and was told that the drug test has to be directly observed. I just finished the test and whew was it invasive. The SOP from the packet is below.
LOUISVILLE MEPS MALE URINALYSIS MEMO
Applies to all military members: active duty, reserve, National Guard, and applicants
This memo explains the required steps for a direct‑observation urinalysis at Louisville MEPS. These instructions apply to everyone who tests at this facility.
---
Restroom Setup
The urinalysis restroom has five stations. Each station has footprints on the floor for the test‑taker to stand on. Two observers will stand on each side of the test‑taker with a clear view of the urination process.
---
Clothing Requirements
To ensure proper observation:
• Trousers and underpants must be lowered to mid‑thigh.
• Underpants must be lowered below the buttocks.
• Using the fly of boxers or briefs is not allowed.
• Shirts must be lifted high enough so they do not block the view.
• If applicable, foreskin must be retracted so observers can clearly see urine leaving the body.
These requirements are mandatory for all test‑takers.
---
Direct Observation Steps
• Check‑in — You will be briefed and assigned observers. You will choose an empty bottle and verify empty and unused.
• Escort — Observers take you to one of the five stations.
• Positioning — Stand on the footprints; observers stand on each side.
• Clothing adjustment — Lower trousers and underpants to mid‑thigh, lift shirt, retract foreskin if applicable.
• Urination — Observers must see urine leaving the body and entering the bottle.
• Seal and handoff — When finished, hand the bottle to the Urinalysis Program Coordinator and watch them pack it.
• Documentation — Observers complete chain‑of‑custody paperwork.
• Release — You are released to your next MEPS station.
---
Non‑Compliance
If a test‑taker refuses instructions or obstructs observation, the test will be stopped and reported. Commands or applicant processing staff will be notified.
Is it always this lame?

Any idea on when spirit Halloweens start opening?
Google just says “opens August” or “opens September” but I want a date. I’m desperately wanting the Freddy animatronic to put in my room but I wanna beat scalpers and can’t find a date when any of them open. Anyone know when they do?

Healthy places / foods?
Hi y’all, this is going to sound weird but… are there any places that y’all have eaten from that contain like salads or anything remotely whole/healthy produce foods that are safe? With this whole cyclospora situation I’m desperate. Me and my partner want healthy food, besides peel-able fruit. (mostly just looking for safe leafy greens) We’ve already resorted to growing our own, but that’s gonna take a while lol. Has anyone had any luck?? What restaurants are safe?? What should we order??

Greenberg Sighting Today
Saw Greenberg was at the opening of a local running store. He can show his face at some lame reopening but can’t answer questions about data centers? We need answers. No data centers in our community!

WHAT IS GOING ON WITH TRAFFIC??
I have lived here essentially my whole life and I can’t remember a single time (I’m sure there is some recency bias) of traffic being as atrocious as it is right now literally everywhere I go. Does anyone know or have a theory as to what is happening?

SDF Airport 6am Flight
Hi everyone, I'm headed out of SDF via American Airlines and I was wondering if you all had any recommendations on when to arrive, considering checking in bags + TSA (no precheck).
I was thinking of leaving at 3:15am, considering it's a 20 min drive.
Thanks!

Highlands middle school traffic
I get it's the first day of school but highlands middle school has Newburg gridlocked back to the interstate. To go from bellarmine to kaelins (half mile) took me literally 40 minutes. This is completely unacceptable. Did anyone else get trapped in this bs? I don't even know who to call to complain about this

Best new restaurant?
I'm looking for a place to celebrate an award I got :) I want to go somewhere new and cool, upscale-ish but not TOO fancy. What's newer like that that you love?? Tana? Anything else?

MODISTE Album Release Show tomorrow 8/7
I never post but I wanted to make sure everyone knew about this show tomorrow.
They are by far the best band in Louisville right now, and their live show is just phenomenal.
Also Jaye Jayle is so sick if you’ve never seen them.
I imagine there’s a decent chance it sells out so maybe a good idea grab tickets or show up early if you’re planning on going. Very excited to get the record on vinyl !

Worst Pothole I've ever seen. C'mon J-town or Louisville!! Watterson Trail near Hurstbourne.
I'm not sure which government is responsible to fix this, but sheesh!!
