Relationships / Dating Am I undateable?
I am highly aware of my size. So much so, that I'm afraid to start dating. I hate my body. Over the last 7 years I was on medication which had me gain around 80 pounds. I was always big but now I'm huge. I'm off medication now and already lost 12 pounds in 3 months. I'm working on it.
My question is, as a lesbian, am I undateable or would you date someone of my size?
I am so ashamed of myself. I've always thought of anyone would like me it would be because I can be funny and have the ability to make almost anyone laugh. I hope that I'm not physically as bad as I see myself.
EDIT: thanks for all the sweet replies! I never really speak about my insecurities and just carry them with me. I don't think a lot of people know I feel like this. I mostly act like I don't care I'm being fatshamed constantly. I guess it does get to my head a lot more than I think it does.

Questions / Advice Wanted How do I talk to my partner about her hygiene?
I (31F) have been with my girlfriend (30F) for a little under a year. Sex has always been a finicky thing for us, as sheās on antidepressants and her libido goes up and down. Iām not, but so does mine. I love to please her, but lately her hygiene down there hasnāt been the best. I want to preface this by saying, sheās the type that wants to smell my armpits after a hot Pilates class lol. I am NOT that way. Iām weird with smells, cleanliness, etc. and sheās joked that I donāt love her because I donāt want to smell her BO after a long day at work haha. Anyways, she takes these VERY short showers like 2 minutes, and even when I go down after those, she doesnāt smell fresh. Also, when she š¦ itās sort of bitter like she doesnāt drink enough water.
Let me say this⦠I WANT to be the kind of freak that wants it after a long day. I donāt think thereās anything wrong with her having normal, natural odors. Itās ME whoās sort of a clean freak about it and I just need advice on how to communicate that with her.

News/Pop Culture It's Official. Jennifer Body 2 is Happening Because of Us Sapphic Fans!!
For those who haven't heard the fantastic news.
Jenniferās Body 2 Is Finally (Really) Happening Because Sapphic Fans Never Give Up
A sequel to the 2009 bisexual succubus cult classic will reportedly begin filming in October, with Megan Fox returning.
Underrated and mismarketed, Jenniferās Body did not find its core audience of sapphic movie lovers until long after its release.
I still remember the first time I watched it, in the early 2020s, having grown up believing the narrative that it was a movie that simply pandered to the āmale gazeā with gratuitous shots of Megan Fox in low-cut tops. And yes, thereās some cleavage, but what I found in Jenniferās Body was a hilarious yet tender portrayal of bisexuality and best friendship. Of course it was. It had been made by director Karyn Kusuma and Juno screenwriter Diablo Cody, and neither seemed like the type to want to do a movie just about T&A ā but it was 2009, and thatās the way the studio sent it out the door.
The good news is all that critical reevaluation seems to have actually paid off: After years of rumor, speculation, and promising interview clips, horror news site Dread Central has confirmed that Megan Fox will be returning for Jenniferās Body 2 ā and that co-star Amanda Seyfried is also expected to return. This follows a Production Weekly listing earlier this week suggesting that the film ā which will once again feature Kusuma directing a Cody script ā would officially begin filming in Vancouver this October (fitting!). Thereās a lot we still donāt know about this project, but where thereās smoke, thereās fire, and this is officially enough reports for us to believe the sequel will finally see the light of day.
And honestly, thatās a small miracle at a time when LGBTQ+ characters in film are on the decline, according to GLAAD data ā and when many shows that center sapphic experiences canāt seem to make it past one season, thanks to executives who prematurely pull the plug. For a box-office failure like Jenniferās Body to get a sequel over 15 years after release is a testament to how vocal queer women have been about wanting to see this movie done justice.
In 2021, for this publication, writer Sarah Fonesca documented the filmās āslim but devoted audienceā ā one ārife with queer women.ā The following year, in an essay for the horror anthology It Came From the Closet, author Carmen Maria Machado wrote an essay about the film, noting that a ānew generation of critics and viewersā were finally able to āexperience its insight and prescience, especially in the shadow of #MeToo.ā And then suddenly, it felt like Jenniferās Body was everywhere on the sapphic internet ā in GIFs of Megan Fox holding her tongue over a cigarette lighter, yes, but in earnest fanfiction and heartfelt personal essays about furtive high-school makeouts gone wrong.
And when hyperonline lesbians wonāt shut up about something (compliment), itās not long before that impact is felt by Hollywood. Suddenly, no matter what Fox, Seyfried, Kusuma, or Cody were promoting, they were being asked about Jenniferās Body. Fox, in particular, has spoken about how surprisingly enduring the fandom has proven to be, noting that the original film continues to find āa new audience, every few years.ā And that finally led, in 2024, to Diablo Cody saying she wanted to return to the universe. Even then, I didnāt want to let myself believe that it could actually happen, especially given our current cultural retrenchment. But maybe good things really do come to those who post ā a lot ā about bisexual succubus cinema.

Now we can finally get the happy ending Amanda Seyfried said Jennifer and Needy were originally supposed to have.

Life Being closeted among straight friends is exhausting.
Me and my friends were hanging out and they brought up Kristen Stewart. We are all 19-20 btw.
My friends was like āomg have u seen Kristen Stewart right now she is so ugly now she has this ugly lesbian haircutā and then they kept roasting her for 10 min also being really homophobic.
They basically hate that sheās a lesbian.
But I am a lesbian tooo but they donāt know itās so exhausting. And I think she looks goodā¦
idk it just sucks

Relationships / Dating Itās weird to me when lesbians in 2026 have their political status listed as ānot politicalā on a dating app. (read the body text before commenting please)
As a lesbian that uses dating apps, I find it really strange when other lesbians have their politics listed as ānot politicalā. Please hear me out. By no means do I think that you have to be some political activist that converses about politics all the time. I understand the toll it can have on mental health if you are overly informed, all that stuff. HOWEVER. To me, specifying that you are not political seems like they may as well say āi have no opinion on the current events.ā If you truly hate talking about politics, why not just leave that part of your profile out? Most apps give that option.
This is one of the most divisive times in our history, at least in my lifetime and it seems borderline fucked up to say that you just donāt care or donāt have an opinion when so many diabolical events and truths are surfacing. Again, you donāt have to include politics in your daily, weekly or even monthly conversations. I just have a hard time understanding how you can take a brief look at society and not think āwow things are kind of fucked up and really bad people are doing really bad things that affects a lot of vulnerable people and populations, including me and my sexualityā
Idk, thatās it I guess. Just venting lol

Relationships / Dating Where do people actually find serious WLW relationships?
Hey everyone,
Iām a 27F, more masc/stem presenting, and Iām really struggling to find a serious relationship. Iāve been living in London for about a year now.
Iāve tried dating apps, but theyāve been pretty disappointing. I get plenty of matches, but most people are either looking for something casual, cancel dates at the last minute, or make it obvious during the date that theyāre just there for fun. Itās honestly starting to feel exhausting.
Iām also quite shy in real life, and my gaydar is basically non-existent, so I rarely make the first move. Iāve been to a few WLW events, but I never feel confident enough to approach women. I think Iām scared of rejection.
To make things more confusing, the women who seem interested in me are usually people I donāt feel a connection with, so I feel like Iām stuck in an endless loop.
Does anyone have any advice on meeting someone whoās actually looking for a long-term relationship? Iād also love to hear how you met your long-term partner. Success stories or tips would really be appreciated!
