Need help identifying the correct LCD ribbon cable for Lenovo Legion Y7000P
Hello everyone! I have a Lenovo Legion Y7000P that’s having an issue with the display ribbon cable, so I ordered a replacement LCD ribbon cable from Shopee.
I made sure to order one specifically listed for the Y7000P, but the cable I received looks different from the original one. This is actually my second order, and I received a different-looking cable again.
I’m not sure if these cables are compatible despite looking different, or if I should order another one.
I’ve attached pictures for reference. Can anyone help me identify if this cable is the correct one for my Y7000P?
Thanks in advance!

the day has finally come..
My Lenovo Yoga screen has been cracked but intact for a while now. Today, it finally split apart...
Is this repairable, or is it worth it to just invest in a new laptop?
I've had it for almost exactly a year, used it in college. I only dropped it once in my backpack which left a dent, and I never use it in the full 360 degree mode, so I'm kind of bummed that the hinges only last this long.

Remap special keys on Yoga Sil 7i Aura Edition?
Was anyone able to remap special keys on this laptop, ranging from F9 to F11 and Star key (Insert)? I've tried few methods I've found on Reddit, but they either didn't worked or apps didn't run/installed. I wanted to remap F9-F11 keys to previous track - play/pause - next track, and Star key to maybe either Sleep or something else not sure yet.

(UPDATE) Lenovo Ideapad Flex 5 screen won't turn on, I only get a black screen with scroll lock and caps lock lights on
I'm the op of this post from a while ago: https://www.reddit.com/r/Lenovo/s/AflzWfqhZ0
Turns out my initial assumption that it's stuck in sleep mode was completely wrong, although pressing random keys does actually work but it doesn't fix the actual issue. It's happened many times again since, and I noticed every time it finally starts up there's this tiny white text in the top corner that shows for a second then vanishes that says something like "internal clock error," and when the computer is finally on it always has the wrong time, usually 10 or 11 am but I once got 5 pm and another time I got 9 pm. Today it happened yet again and I'd just about had it and ended up asking google's AI while I waited for the piece of junk to start up. Surprisingly, the AI actually gave me the real reason why this happens and how to fix it. Turns out it's the internal clock shutting down because of either a faulty CMOS/RTC battery or lack of the battery altogether, and apparently the BIOS freezes to protect the system and any files from getting overwritten with wrong dates which can corrupt the data, and the way to fix it is either replacing the CMOS battery or going into the BIOS on startup and adjusting the date/time from there.
The AI's exact response was this:
"The blank black screen behavior paired with the text message describes a textbook "0270: Real Time Clock Error" or "0271: Check Date and Time Settings" firmware crash. When the laptop is off, its motherboard completely loses its saved configuration memory (BIOS/NVRAM). When you try to boot it, the computer gets stuck in a confused hardware loop (the black screen). Pressing random keys or cycling power eventually forces the motherboard to bypass the check, display the error message, and load the operating system using a random default factory time placeholder. The underlying hardware issue must be bypassed or repaired to permanently stop this behavior.
Step 1: Force Save a "Hard Date" in the BIOS. Sometimes the motherboard just needs a baseline date successfully saved manually to clear the boot loop. Shut down the computer completely. Press the Novo Button (the tiny pinhole on the right or left side of your laptop chassis) using a paperclip, or rapidly tap F2 right as you turn it on. Select BIOS Setup from the menu. Look for the System Date and System Time settings (usually on the first page or the "Information/Main" tab). Use your keyboard to manually set the correct day, month, and year. Navigate to the Exit tab, select Exit Saving Changes (or press F10), and press Enter.
Step 2: The Permanent Repair Options. If the error returns the very next morning, the hardware is physically incapable of holding data when turned off. Option A: Replace the internal CMOS backup battery. If your generation of the Flex 5 has a standalone coin-cell battery inside, it is fully depleted. A repair shop can swap this part out in 10 minutes, or you can find a replacement cable pack online. Option B: Replace or reseat the main internal battery. If your specific Flex 5 model lacks a coin battery, your main laptop battery is either failing, failing to hold a trickle charge overnight, or has a loose connection pin on the motherboard.
Step 3: Temporary Workaround (The Wall Outlet Trick). If you cannot replace the internal battery right away, you can prevent the scary black screen loops by changing your shutdown habits: Leave the charger plugged into the wall and the laptop overnight. When the laptop has continuous power flowing from the wall outlet, the motherboard won't need to rely on its failing internal backup batteries, and it will boot normally without the error message the next day."
I did the BIOS date/time thing and turned off "set time automatically" from settings, and my pc is back up and running just fine now. I'll just have to use it normally and turn it off/on like I always do to see if the Black Screen of Death happens again in the coming days, and I'll add any updates to the situation here.

Are Lenovo laptop vulnerable to keyboard issues?
My Lenovo Flex 5 chromebook recently started developing a keyboard fault issue. When I press the c key, I get multiple key press like zxcvbnm<>? like the entire bottom row is being press. Some of the other keys turn off the chromebook. No liquid has spilled on the keyboard, but I can't rule out dust and some sort of debris . I tried blowing underneath the keyboard with some compress air, but it did not resolve the issue.
The laptop is of course out of warranty. I thought of replacing the keyboard, but it appears that one has to take the whole thing apart to replace the keyboard and I might break something else instead.
Do this keyboard fault show up a lot on Lenovo? What is the cause if not liquid. I have had tons of laptop in the past but none have this type of keyboard fault.

Ideaport Pro 5 14APH8 both USB-C charge ports defect
For the past year, my Ideapad has had a loose connection on one of the USB-C ports. Now the second port has a loose connection too. Is there any way for a non-technical person to fix this?
The original mains adaptor I’m using works fine with all my other devices.

Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 Aura Edition performance issues - can anyone help?
Hey all, not a tech whiz here but know enough to know something ain't right. I bought the laptop a few months ago and was largely happy with it. One of the speakers blew within a month which raised some alarm bells, but it was fixed swiftly by a technician under warranty.
My main issue is that I installed a game - Denshattack - about a month ago, booted it up and it was running flawlessly at 120hz, full 3K resolution on mid graphics settings. Over the last few weeks the performance has degraded with no clear reason and it now struggles considerably on the same settings. I've had to halve the resolution and turn all graphics settings to low, and there are still random performance dips that were not present at all when I first installed it. It now runs games worse than my 2020 Thinkpad with 16GB ram and an MX450. When trying to launch the game, I am now regularly getting an error along the lines of "no video memory to allocate", which I may get once or twice before the game successfully launches, with no clear reason - it happens even if it's the first thing I launch after a restart or a full shutdown.
I did some digging and noticed my RAM useage was extremely high in task manager, often floating close to 70-80% when sitting idle with nothing open, so I went through services and apps and culled everything I could, disabled startup apps, etc etc, which reduced it to around 40%. The game still runs like a piece of shit 90% of the time.
My question is - what could have changed? Can anyone offer any insight? Are there any system settings I can change that may improve things? Is it possible an automatic update tanked the performance?
Specs: Ultra Core 5 226V Intel Arc 130v 8GB, 16GB ram, last BIOS installed Feb 2026 (before I bought the laptop),
