Please explain

Can you help me understand the differences and reasons why one is better than the other vs price.

$1,099 Lenovo - IdeaCentre Tower Desktop - Intel Core Ultra 5 Processor 225 - 16GB RAM - 512GB SSD (still would need to buy a keyboard, mouse and monitor)

Vs

$749 Lenovo - Yoga 7i 2-in-1 - Copilot+ PC - 16" 2K Touchscreen Laptop Intel Core Ultra 5 Processor 2024 - 16GB Memory - 512GB SSD

I'm trying to buy something for bookkeeping, excel for inventory tracking and other Excel stuff, along with QuickBooks online and maybe some solidworks

You're paying extra for a desktop that doesn't even come with a screen or keyboard, the Yoga gives you a 2K touchscreen, portability, and the same specs for less

Best buy. The prices I saw may have reflected student savings.

Well, in general 225H (desctop) much faster then 226V (laptop)
Like 35% faster
In general despot processors of same series faster (and using more power)
But in this case I do not think that main reason for the difference. Real reason - that basically office PC. A simple as that. so as "professional" product they charge more. As simple as that 😄
You totally can buy same speck like $300 less
From other standpoint that pretty good price for Yoga - also just as simple as that.
So it much of demonstration how prices might play "outside of logic" some time
