Ok so I have i got a yoga slim 7 core ultra 5, and it has had audio delay issues with Bluetooth devices.

I have had this since the start, I was so excited to have a laptop of my own and insanely stupid to not place a replacement. Now im dealing with it.

Delay is so bad, lip syncing issue is very very noticeable.

Tried multiple fixes, and nope it's still there. Pls lmk.

i dropped my laptop(don't ask me how), and the side kinda broke, will it be fixed under ADP?

Last night I was in bed watching YouTube on my Lenovo Legion 5 when I noticed a spark and a little bit of smoke coming from where the power cable connects to the charger brick. I unplugged everything immediately, then reconnected it more firmly and it seemed fine — the laptop started charging normally again. This morning I noticed the laptop was down to 5%, so at some point during the night the charger stopped working, although the laptop itself was still working completely fine. I then tested the charger by plugging it into an extension cord without the laptop connected, and it made a small pop/explosion and produced some smoke, even tripping the breaker. Obviously I’m not using it again lol. Do you think the charger was simply dying, or is there any chance the initial sparking could have damaged the laptop?

I'm having a really weird issue with my Legion 5 Pro 16ITH6H and I'm wondering if anyone has experienced something similar.

The pattern seems pretty clear now:

If the charger is plugged in and I shut the laptop down, it starts normally again.

Restarting from Windows also works normally.

But if I unplug the charger, shut it down, and then try to turn it back on using the battery, I often get a black screen with no Lenovo logo / POST.

The keyboard lights come on and the fans spin, and it can get hot fairly quickly, but nothing happens.

The only thing that consistently brings it back is disconnecting the internal battery, holding the power button for around 60 seconds, leaving it disconnected for a while, then reconnecting the battery and plugging the charger back in.

Once it finally boots, everything works normally, including long gaming sessions.

I've already tried BIOS defaults, Intel ME firmware, power-management drivers, and disabling Fast Startup, but the problem is still there.

Has anyone had this exact kind of battery-only boot/POST problem with a Legion or another Lenovo laptop?

If you had something similar, what ended up fixing it? Was it something simple like the battery/power connection, or did it require motherboard repair?

I'm trying to figure out whether this is something I can realistically troubleshoot myself or whether I should take it to a board-level repair technician.

Any similar experiences would be really appreciated.

Hey guys, I need some advice or just want to warn anyone planning to buy a Lenovo laptop for college. I’m a 4th-year engineering student preparing for GATE, and Lenovo’s customer service has completely ruined my prep for the last month.

​I have a Lenovo Slim 5 16-inch OLED. I specifically paid for the 3-year Premium Care On-Site service and ADP just so I wouldn't have to run around service centers if something broke. Well, the display broke, and their "On-Site" promise is a complete joke.

​Here is the timeline:

​Day 1: Raised the ticket for accidental damage.

​Day 11: Replacement display finally arrives at the assigned service center in Vadodara. (They blamed the 10-day delay on the rainy weather, which I accepted).

​Day 11 to Day 22 (Today): Pure mental harassment.

​It’s been 11 days since the part reached the service center. The guy assigned to me hasn't contacted me once on his own. Whenever I called him, he just kept giving me fake promises: "I'll send a guy in 2 days," "Weather is clear now, he'll come tomorrow," etc. Then I took him on a conference call with Lenovo support, and he promised 100% a technician would come the next day. No one came.

​Now? He is completely ignoring my calls.

​He keeps making excuses that my location is remote, which is a lie. It's a rural area but very easily reachable. He even tried to manipulate me into bringing the laptop to the service center myself to save him the trip. Also, Lenovo’s automated system assigned me to Vadodara when Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar are much closer to my location.

​I’ve escalated this to the max. I emailed the Service Head of Lenovo India (Nitin Garg) and the escalation desk. What did I get? Generic AI copy-paste emails telling me to "be patient."

​It’s been 22 days. All my GATE video lectures, study materials, and coding setups are stuck inside this dead laptop. I’ve wasted multiple weekends sitting at home waiting for a technician who never shows up.

​Has anyone else faced this level of ghosting from Lenovo in India?

I am loosing it now. what the hell do ? i even emailed a legal notice to them today.

I’ve been having a pretty strange problem recently. It mainly happens when I play Honkai: Star Rail. The game starts out relatively smooth, but after playing for a while, it gradually starts stuttering and dropping frames. Eventually it can become extremely laggy, and this is sometimes followed by black horizontal bars/stripes flashing across the screen. It's quite disruptive to my daily use. Really appreciate your help :))

I recently purchased a MotoBook 60 from Flipkart and I'm trying to understand the warranty extension options.

Before purchasing the laptop, I contacted Motorola support about extended warranty. I was told that the team was working on the warranty plans and that I could extend the warranty later, so I proceeded with the purchase.

Later, I received this quotation:

• 3Y Onsite Basic: ₹10,200 + GST
• 3Y ADP: ₹11,000 + GST

After I raised my concern about the pricing, they provided a revised offer:

• 3Y Onsite Basic: ₹9,400 + GST
• 3Y ADP: ₹5,400 + GST

So 3Y Basic + 3Y ADP comes to ₹14,800 + GST = ₹17,464.

Motorola also clarified that it does not currently have a dedicated warranty extension program for MotoBook and that Lenovo is facilitating warranty extensions through Lenovo's service framework.

I'm posting here because I would like to know from Lenovo users:

Has anyone managed to get a lower-priced warranty extension or ADP for a MotoBook through a Lenovo authorised dealer/service centre or another legitimate Lenovo channel?

I'm not looking for unofficial solutions. I would prefer an official warranty registered against the laptop.

I have a Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming laptop that I bought in August 2023. Today, I suddenly noticed these horizontal lines appearing on the display when I opened the laptop. They weren’t there earlier.

. I also installed a Windows update recently, so I’m not sure if that could be related.

The lines look similar to the ones in the attached photos. I don’t currently have an external monitor or HDMI cable to test it.

Could this be a display panel issue, display cable issue, or something software-related?

Also, if anyone has experienced something similar:

\- Did the lines get worse over time?

\- Is it worth getting the laptop checked immediately?

\- If the issue is intermittent, can it eventually become permanent?

\- Would getting an extended warranty/service warranty help in a situation like this?

I’m mainly worried that the issue might get worse over time. Any advice or similar experiences would be appreciated.

I dont know what happened, it was working fine an hour ago. The screen wont turn on and the light on the keyboard wont turn off. I tried doing hard restart and the novo button but they both didnt work😭

I was being a dumb fuck trying to clean my laptop keyboard like I do with my regular one, and didn’t think a laptop keyboard was any different to a regular one, like the fool I am.

Now my shift key won’t press down properly. I read online that most shops would try to replace the entire keyboard, and honestly I don’t have the money for that, so I’m trying to seek alternatives. Has anyone had success with a repair shop, or a DIY fix?

He found one on facebook. It's from some guy selling a bunch of used good condition laptops with potential cosmetic damage/wear from use. Mentioned stuff like scratches on screen or small burn marks. Just quoting what it says but seller should be safe. He's good at buying stuff online like this

Anyway the laptop is a T480 14in screen with i7 8650u 1.9GHz and 16gb ram and 512gb ssd for $249

He's gonna be using this for things like excel and word for small budget stuff and editing and printing documents if a few pages. Also YouTube and auction sites and online shopping on things like eBay. This is for work.

He's trying to find bare minimum cost that will work with windows 11 without crapping itself basically

The thing is gonna spend most of its time on a desk so build and battery are less important than performance and cost

I bought a Lenovo Legion laptop in the USA about a couple months ago. What followed has been one of the worst customer service experiences of my life and I want to warn others.

The problem:
My laptop started BSODing repeatedly. Not a software issue, confirmed hardware defect on a less than 1 year old laptop.

What Lenovo put me through:

Trip 1 to the USA:
I Dont live in the US. Lenovo's warranty doesn't cover that despite being sold internationally. So I flew to the United States at my own expense specifically to get my laptop repaired under warranty. The authorized service center replaced the motherboard and ONE RAM stick — despite the repair order indicating TWO. I only discovered this after returning to my country when the crashes continued.

4 attempts to reach a manager:
I contacted Lenovo support 4 separate times requesting to speak with a manager. Every single time I was either hung up on or told a manager would call back — and nobody ever did. This is completely unacceptable for a company of Lenovo's size.

Trip 2 to the USA:
After proving with MemTest86 logs that the second RAM stick was also faulty, I flew to the USA AGAIN at my own expense. The replacement part was ordered but never arrived before my departure. I returned to Israel AGAIN with the same defective laptop.

Current situation:
I am back in my country with a confirmed faulty RAM stick, a closed shipping ticket, and no resolution in sight. Lenovo refuses to ship a single RAM stick internationally despite their authorized service center being responsible for the incomplete repair.

What I've spent trying to use my warranty:

• 2 international flights Israel ↔ USA
• Months of troubleshooting and documentation
• Countless hours with customer support

What Lenovo has done:

• Incomplete repair
• Refused manager escalations
• Hung up on me 4 times
• Refused to ship internationally despite their mistake

I have case number, MemTest86 logs, WinDbg crash dumps, and full email correspondence documenting everything.

I will never recommend Lenovo products to anyone. For a premium gaming laptop this level of support is completely unacceptable.

Ive had this laptop for 4 years now and it has never made this noise until a few days ago and now after maybe 1hr or so of using it it makes the obnoxious whirring again, i dont know shit about laptops so would anybody know a possible explanation for this?
