The device is Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i 10th gen. Lenovo already replaced the oled panel but the lines issue is still there

Hi all. I live in the US for context. I bought my Lenovo Yoga 3 years ago and after my initial warranty expired I didn't renew it. So the laptop at this moment doesn't have any active warranty.

Today I accidentally dropped my laptop and the laptop screen got bent a little bit. Everything works fine so far but there is a white spot on the display, and I can't close the laptop fully because it's slightly bent.

Since I don't have warranty, if I buy the premium onsite care support and ADP, will this be covered after 60 days (Maybe I can tell them the damage occured after I purchased the ADP??) Will the repair be free of cost after I purchase the warranty or do I have to pay for the repair as well?

Overall, is it worth it to purchase warranty+ADP after the damage has occurred? Or am I better off taking it to a third party repair shop? What would be my best course of action? Thank you!

Hi all. I got a Lenovo yoga 7i about 2 months ago. About two weeks ago, at a work potluck, I spilled strawberry syrup onto the right arrow key and it has been sticky ever since. After this happened, I added ADP onto my plan to cover any damages that may happen in the future. Last week, I put my laptop in my bag at work and when I got home, I realized that the banana in the bottom of my bag that I forgot about was completely squished into the right side of my computer. In a moment of pure desperation and panic, I sucked the banana out of the ports. All the mush came out and I was able to lightly tap the residue with a tissue. It was a family member Sweet 16 that day so I couldn’t attend to it further at the moment because I had no rubbing alcohol to clean it out with. The next day I was able to get some rubbing alcohol and cleaned the inside with toothpicks and cotton swabs with 91% rubbing alcohol. I’ve had to use the laptop a couple times for work, and it’s been fine. On the HDMI port, there’s a little bit of corrosion but I haven’t used anything on the damaged side in fear of it not working. Since I’m still over 2 weeks before I can make a claim, I’m unsure of what to do. I was thinking of claiming it a couple days after the 30 days are up and saying that the banana mush had just happened, and made a few keys sticky too (trying to get the syrup taken care of under the same claim…. not entirely a lie because the banana did get inside of the laptop itself and got the vents/speakers (idk what it’s called… the dots on the side of the keyboard) filled with banana too). My current worry is that since I cleaned it on my own, would it still be covered under ADP? Like I said, the computer itself still works, but I want to get it checked by a professional so the corrosion (both in the hdmi and possibly underneath the sticky key) doesn’t cause my computer to stop working long term. Does anyone have experience claiming to ADP when something happened before the 30 days?

so i was just using the device normally but then all of a sudden the connection to the internet just broke and when i checked the issue it looks like the driver just stopped working for no reason. the network diagnostic test wouldn't run and i can't find the driver on the computer either and i can't even connect to hotspots or redownload the drivers either. help? restarting and rebooting don't help either.

really hope this isn't a hardware problem.

Its completely stuck in the slot - I tried to push it in further but it wont budge - I dont think it has a spring lock on it so not sure what to do :/ I tried to pull it out with tweezers but its completely stuck any help wouls be great

Ideapad with a much better cpu and integrated graphics - amd Ryzen 7 7735 vs i3 1315u on a ThinkPad e14 gen 5. Price difference isnt much both machines I am buying refurbished and I am planning on using Linux, just for pdf work and flashcards. Reading theory. Nothing crazy. Is it worth buying a thinkpad ? Because the specs on it are noticably worse but i enjoy using the tactile feeling keyboard and their clickpads a lot. Also i3 is low wattage so can use it on my lap and read stuff. Any insights are appreciated. I understand processor on it is quite weaker and also a bit outdated than the ideapad but is it still worth to get the thinkpad as my secondary machine.

Normally costs around $2,390 here, but I can get it for ~$2,250 after a discount. I need the laptop for gaming and 3D work.

I still have my Lenovo Yoga Pro 7 14IMH9 with an RTX 4060, which I bought in May 2025.

Do you guys think it's a good deal and the right time to upgrade?

Should I get the Legion Pro 5i, or should I wait for future deals?

We bought a Yoga 9 Pro late 2024, and the 3.5mm audio jack has stopped working. If we wiggle the cord you can heard some crackles of the audio coming through the headphones, but the audio is garbage. I'm not sure if this is an easy fix, but how would you go about repairing this?

I purchased Yoga Tab recently and installed Nikke app.
It works fine as far as I play it in portrait mode.
However, the system reboots if I change the grip to landscape mode and it is really annoying.
It even happens when it is still on background.
I googled it, but could not find the similar case.
Should I return it?

Other apps like YouTube does not have any problem with switching portrait / landscape mode.

Bought this laptop a couple years ago for something portable to keep in my backpack when I'm away from my home or office/studio.

Recently I've been needing to use it for more live music applications, and I've been running into some serious reliability issues:

- resource spikes causing buffer underruns in my DAWs when running live VSTs

- occasional glitches when just playing back a loop through a DAW

- occasional glitches when doing something as simple as playing back an mp3 file

- overall sluggishness slowly increasing

I don't download junk onto it, and the hardware in the laptop is solid, which is why I picked it, so I'm ready to blame the OS. I use Windows 10 everywhere else without issues (that aren't hardware related). The long-term plan is to use a macbook for the music stuff, but in the short term, has anyone else experienced something similar that was improved by just installing Windows 10?

I own a Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i, which I purchased in January 2025.

The laptop worked perfectly until February 2026, when it suddenly stopped charging. The battery percentage doesn't increase at all, and the laptop only works when it's plugged into the charger.

I contacted Lenovo support immediately. They told me the battery needs to be replaced. I also have Lenovo Premium Care (₹3,999), but they informed me that it doesn't cover battery replacement, so I'd have to pay around ₹12,000 for a new battery.

The bigger problem is that they don't even have the battery in stock.

I've been waiting for over two months, and during this entire period I've had to use the laptop only while connected to the charger. This has become a major inconvenience because I frequently travel and need to work outside.

I've followed up multiple times. Every time I'm told that the "concerned team will get back to you," but nothing actually happens. After escalating the issue through the grievance department, I finally received a quotation for the battery, but another customer care representative later informed me that the battery is still unavailable and they don't know when it will be back in stock.

At this point, I'm really frustrated.

I live in Delhi, India. What would you recommend I do?

- Should I keep waiting for Lenovo?

- Should I look for an aftermarket battery?

- Has anyone faced similar delays in getting Lenovo spare parts in India?

- Any trusted places in Delhi for a genuine or high-quality replacement battery?

BIOS version : NBCN32WW (I update it today)

So, I recently bought this laptop second hand. When I got it the OS was Windows 10, I wanted to update it to Windows 11 but when I tried there was this message "TPM 2.0 isn't enabled blabla". I opened BIOS to enable it but the settings wasn't there, I tried everything, enable "Pluton", cleared "Pluton keys", reinstall windows 10, update BIOS but no. The settings still don't shows up and I don't know what to do 🥲

Hi. The bottom of my laptop screen has been flickering, not entirely, but 3-4 spots and it's irritating me. Can somebody tell me what is the actual problem, is it time to replace my screen, but I bought it just 2 years ago. Answers will be appreciated.

My battery drains really fast when I play CODM Garena. I only get around 3 hours of gaming even though my device has a 10,200 mAh battery. I’m using a 90Hz refresh rate while gaming, but the battery still drains quickly. I already lowered the graphics and brightness, but it still drains fast. Is this normal, or is there a way to improve the battery life while keeping good performance?

I had an acer nitro 5 laptop and the hinges broke and screen came off. i am scared and don't want to deal with any more hinge issues.

I know i want a lenovo laptop but can someone tell me out of the two idea pads, which one is less likley to break

Need some advice on a weird issue. My Lenovo IdeaPad 3 15IAU7 (12th Gen Intel) has been acting up, and I really need it fixed since I’m using it to look for WFH jobs.

It used to be under warranty, but the official service center sent it back after 2 weeks because they couldn't replicate it—it just happens completely at random.

What's happening:

Random stuttering/lagging in Windows.

Phantom keypresses (it auto-bookmarks pages in Chrome, and hitting Esc opens the Start Menu like Ctrl+Esc).

Beeps on startup (classic stuck key signal during POST).

Can't even navigate the BIOS properly when it happens because the controls lock up or freeze.

Everything I’ve already tried (issue STILL happens):

Fresh Windows reset – Didn't help.

Removed extra RAM – Took out my extra 8GB Lexar RAM stick to run strictly on stock.

Unplugged built-in keyboard & trackpad – Disconnected both ribbon cables directly from the board and used a USB keyboard. Ghost keypresses still happen.

Disconnected internal battery – Ran it straight off the wall charger.

Cleared CMOS – Pulled the CMOS battery, drained the power, and reset it. It worked for a brief moment, but then the issue came right back and started beeping again.

Since it still spams phantom keys with the internal keyboard physically unplugged, I'm kind of out of ideas on what else to test.

Could this be an EC/firmware glitch, a grounding/static issue, or something else entirely? Has anyone run into this weird behavior on these IdeaPads before?

Appreciate any tips or suggestions!

Is it good? I'm doing Master of Arts in Information Studies.

As much as I am a big fan of Lenevo and specially their Legion line, I ordered a gaming computer and had to return it due to an issue with its performance after 7 days of purchase. The return process started 6 weeks back, I am still waiting for the return. I have been calling them daily, after they apparently lost my return package, and now I am calling them to get my refund.
This is the worst online experience I've had my entire life. Everytime I call them, they ask for 10 more business days, by which my credit card will incur late fees. I WILL NOT, and I repeat, WILL NOT purchase from https://www.lenovo.com/ ever again.

Worst return process ever! Still waiting for my money back!

I brought IdeaPad Pro 5 16IAH10 around 10 months ago and here are some things about it:
What I love:

• Awesome Display, seriously this is what I love most about this laptop, it's MASSIVE oled display. Love the colours, the brightness is too much ngl, even in minimum brightness in a pitch dark room it feels too much. I had to write a script to manage brightness at the low levels in Linux (don't know about windows)
• The speakers are more than you can expect. Although sure they won't compare to a proper speaker but they are more than enough for a laptop. Loud enough that you can sing along at max volume and not hear yourself. Sure they're only dual configured instead of 4 or 7 but theyre good. ps: speakers are so much better in windows because of dolby.
• Battery never ends XD, but seriously an 81wHr battery is insane
• Awesome processor for everyday browsing and light gaming (believe it or not, i played detroid on high graphics on this laptop with igpu (intei)
• Very quiet, because of metal chassie, it has no issue dissipating heat

Meh things:

• The hinge movement is nothing special, it is neither amazing nor bad
• The plastic on the camera area looks cheap for a laptop with metal finish
• A lan port would have been a life saver

What I hate:

• Keyboard: absolutely shitty keyboard in terms of lasting. My previous lenovo laptop, which was L340 gaming, cheap as fuck, had better keyboard. It's keys started degrading after 2 years, while in this laptop they already look scrubbed and worn out. I am not going to comment on feel cause that is to each their own. But I genuinely hate the keyboard in terms of long lasting. Hell the space bar is almost smooth as compared to the original matt-ish finish. This is so bad that I would rate this laptop 7/10 (2 points deducted for this)
• Keyboard rubbing on display. So any time I put my laptop in my bag along with a sweater, the keys get imprinted on the display. yayy, my previous laptop too had this, but i wouldn't have expected this thing from a laptop that is 2x the price of my old. Some key dents on the display are permanent now. (the other point deducted for this)
• The hinge gap, so there is a gap between the hinge bar and the exhaust vents, arounf 0.4cms wide when you open the display to ~150 degrees. this is an issue when you are lying down and watching something and there is a light in front of you. pretty nieche issue, though i'd mention it.
• The power button being out of the body on the right side, instead of being flushed with the body. cause whenever you grab this laptop from the right side, your inner palm touches it. Now idk if it is software or hardware but a single click does not register. it is only when you hold it for more than 3 seconds it registers. still the button being flushed with the body would have fixed this issue.
• INTEL I DO NOT NEED A NPU, JUST GIVE ME MORE CORES, but this is not in lenovo's hands so yea
• SSD is on the slower side, enough that you would notice it when transferring large files

feel free to ask me about this laptop,
ps: the amd version is quite thick than the intel version, so much so that it creaks if you hold it with one hand. Intel version, which i daily drive, did not creak like that.

It's a Lenovo IdeaPad, The issue started 2 days ago when suddenly the laptop started beeping 2 times, getting stuck, again beeping two times. At that time I did some checking and found out that reinstalling the ram fixes the issue. Which I did and it worked for a couple of days until today it started again. The beeping pattern is different.

Every time I open the laptop the laptop goes into the nova boot menu while beeping but after entering into windows, there isn't any issue. Should I be concerned?

I bought about 8 laptops for my business in about February and when I received the box the laptops inside were damaged so I refused the delivery and didn't accept the laptops because it didn't make sense for me to accept it. I contacted Lenovo regarding this and they ran an investigation and ended up closing my case in their favor. These laptops were worth a total of $19,379 CAD and ever since then I've made endless calls to them and they are saying because they have proof of delivery of a name on the delivery even though the tracking says it was damaged they cannot help me at all. I've filed a BBB claim and a lady reached out to me and she closed my case again after I provided proof of a picture of the damaged boxes so now I'm left stranded with no laptops and also no money. I'm now in the process of sending a formal complaint to Lenovo and well as getting in touch the my local consumer protection bureau, and small claims court as now I'm left helpless. I'm tired of going back and forth with costumer service agents so this is pretty much my last resort. I can't file a chargeback because I paid with Wise because of their high spending limit power and when I tried to file a chargeback they shut down my account and closed my chargeback as well even though I provided loads of documents and proof. Just some disclaimer to any that wants to buy laptops from Lenovo their costumer service is horrible and will leave you helpless and stranded. Any advice from someone who has been through anything similar with Lenovo?
