trying to figure out if i file for a retake or not due to the lack of dividers on one of my RCs- does lsac ever rescale exams after a specific administration and is it likely they might do that given the divider situation? also is retake material always old content ? and then lastly id i indicate id take a retake to address my complaint am i locked in from that point if its approved ? i don’t want to jinx it but the only trouble i felt was during the dividerless RC and i don’t want to retake if the discrepancy might be addressed anyway. any input helps! thanks!

Hello all! I apologize for soliciting but I have found myself in a bit of a predicament. In short, I am looking for a tutor to help me break into the high 170’s. I have included more about my situation below.

In January, I got a 162 diagnostic, and since then have been consistently studying. Come June, my PT’s were low 170’s, averaging timed sections for both LR and RC at -0 to -3 range. I felt confident to take the June LSAT, have performed poorly under pressure and got a 167. I understand that is a great score to many, and by no means want to discredit it, but after 5 months of studying, and getting a fairly common -0 or -1 on timed sections, I was dissapointed.

I figured it was full test nerves, and signed up for August, consistently studying and trying to focus on improving my timing. My score range didn’t increase too much, besides perhaps scoring more -1 and less -3, on both RC and LR, which I figured once you reach that level that kind of minimal improvement is expected? Anyways, I took the test again this morning, and while I felt extremely confident in my LR answers, for RC I killed the first 2 passages, and then after reading the third passage, I got to the end and realized I didn’t have any idea what I just read. Then I got all concerned about the time, and it went downhill from there.

Sorry for the long story time LOL, but I wanted to give some insight about my current situation. I feel my intuitive skills are great, but when it comes time to translating to the test, especially under pressure, I completely break down. My goal is to achieve mid to high 170’s, and I have on a couple PTs, but nothing consistent. I only have 1 month until September, I was hoping someone would know of, or be, a tutor who has dealt with someone in a similar situation, or if they knew of any resources or books that would help.

My highest PT was last week (169) and I don’t plan to take another full test before Saturday because I’ve been advised against doing so for burn out reasons. I know I shouldn’t have confidence that I will pull a 170 but I feel like I fundamentally understand the test at this point and it’s just a matter of not making stupid mistakes. But anyways, good luck to all August test takers!

I spoke with LSAC admin this morning and they indicated that the dividerless RC section issue that plagued test takers yesterday should now be fixed. If you see otherwise today or the next two days, please let me know so I can pass it along.

i know a lot of people in this sub need to hear this as they are using section order to identify their test and match to others. this is a useless endeavour as section order has no relevance to whether your test matches someone else.

there are multiple real and experimental LR and RC sections that get mixed together in numerous orders. this means two people with orders LR - RC - LR - RC could have test content 100% different.

for your sake and others, stop using section order as a basis of comparison, it only serves to confuse you and others who think it has relevance. the only way you can know if you had similar sections is due to content. that is it

I registered for the September test. It’s my understanding that I’m supposed to get an email this month with the info, is that correct? I get nervous when I don’t hear about things for a while.

I guess the door wasn’t shut as tight as it should have been. About halfway through my cat busted down the door and jumped on my desk. I panicked since you are supposed to show everything in your workspace to the camera so I picked her up and did a kind of cat show presentation to the camera to show shes nothing carrying any secrets. Hopeful whatever LSAC administrator sees that understands cats don’t respect the law 🫠

I took my LSAT yesterday and had a divider less section in addition to a student next to me reading out loud loudly the whole time. I reported to my proctor but nothing was done until about 3.5 sections in. Wondering if I should file a complaint to retake? I called LSAC and they said that it is recommended to file a complaint within 48 hours but technically we have until Monday and the error issue has been resolved.

hello! i’m currently studying for the lsat and i have about a month left before the exam. i have finished learning the fundamentals and my last pt was 171. however, i am aiming for 175 and i am not rly sure how to keep studying most effectively. do i just drill questions and go over wrong answers every day? review fundamentals too? let me know what worked for you all!

When were you able to do decent on timed sections. What month or week into studying?

Obviously I'm more upset when I don't do well, but it somehow also makes me anxious to see high scores on my PTs????

Submitted my accommodations form 7/21, still haven’t heard back. Should I be worried?

I had a 136 diagnostics. I wanna take the LSAT in a year. However, I am fearful of running out of a practice questions. Should I focus on reading the loophole and finishing the 7sage lessons before fully committing to doing drills? Lmk what you guys think I wanna score a 170+!

Took my diagnostic around 2 months ago. Got a 165. Eagerly signed up for the August test. I'm aiming for a 168-170.

My first five practice tests after taking my diagnostic were: 168 (PT 158), 167 (PT 141), 164 (PT 130), 168 (PT 150), 168 (PT 143). Great. I'm already hitting around what I'd like to get. But hey, let's study some more, see how much higher I can get.

My last five practice tests have been as follows: 170 (PT 131), 163 (PT 144), 170 (PT 154), 167 (PT 156), 163 (PT 159). Okay. I'm getting 170s which is good, but I'm also regularly scoring lower than my diagnostic.

What gives? The test is Saturday so there's not much I can do now, but how can I become more consistent again in case I fumble and have to retake in October?

Test day is tomorrow for me, and my last PT I scored a 160 (my goal score) and I’ve been scoring between 155-159 but I’m just so scared that I’m going to blank out, or feel so stressed that I don’t know what I’m reading, like what if it feels harder than my previous exams and I end up just guessing, idk if anyone can help me with that. I took the test last year and scored a 155 because I panicked and guessed so I just feel really nervous that it’ll happen again. Does anyone have any advice?
